  • So , listen, I'm a big comics fan and I'm wondering where did you get the hat and the suit? Also, nice job!

  • This series was very well done, it's a shame it had to end prematurely.

  • Question: Yes, it all makes sense now! There was a monkey at the JFK assassination! Wait...

  • lol I saw Cat Williams In 1 of the news papers

  • The question looks sort of like Rorschach from "Watchmen". I hear this is because Watchmen was originally supposed to be about the characters from charlton comics but they changed it at the last minute for some reason, meaning they had to quickly change the characters to be Alan Moores original creation, but they only redesigned the characters slightly. Can some one confirm this, and/or tell me why they changed it?

  • @MyWilliam1996 yes this is true. moore had to chance the characters to originals because DC felt the story was too dark. they had other plans for the charlton heroes, so moore slightly changed everyone.

  • I love the Question so much

  • What did you think of Renee Montoya being the new Question?

  • This got me so interested in this, so sad so much time has passed since then. You guys did many of my favorite heros whom my friends and I want to now take on the roles of. Blue Beetle, Question, Booster Gold, Deadpool....all on my Hero top ten.

  • Does anyone else find The Question hot when he gets all into THE conspiracy?

  • Why didn't you complete the series? I was interested.

  • @906087 no money.

  • Kinda the DC Animated Universe version of the Question that's a bit his Watchmen analog with a whole lot of crazy, conspiricy obessed shut in. Still remember the conversation he had with one of the other Leauge members about how he hadn't showered in days becasue he was doing research. :)

  • the voice... no. but the rest... yes.

  • how did you get the costumes ?

  • @vincentcapuano made it.

  • @blinky500 what do they really consist of the blue beetle costume and the question costume?

  • @vincentcapuano BB- spandex. Q- trench coat and hat.

  • @blinky500 anything else?

  • @vincentcapuano just some common sense. i mean seriously. look at the video. use your eyes. what is question wearing? a suit and tie. gloves. as for BB, look at the costume. its spandex.

  • @blinky500 k

  • Not bad Question isn't one of my few heroes I pay much mind to but jlu and you make me want to now.

  • Friday Food? Christina Anguilla? Wow, to think they too were caught up in this!

  • thank you blinky500

  • what type of camera do you recomend for film projects with quality like this

  • @ComicFreakification sony hdfx1 or the canon 5d

  • How did you film this with a video cam or any type of filming device ?

  • @vincentcapuano i blinked really hard till the images were engraved in my mind, then through a new technology, dowloaded my memories onto a computer where i edited them in time with music. seriously? how else would i film something?

  • @blinky500 k by the way did you have to pick up any skills to act as the question like any hand to hand combat moves atletics of firearms ?

  • is that Kat Williams at 1:21? damn, the question CAN link everything together.

  • Vic Sage is so amazing he can type with his gloves one.

    Nice.

  • could the actor see or talk at all threw the mask?

  • my favourite of all your films. I love that his special gas is in the elevator as if he just put on his mask on the way here!

  • I love infinite crisis and was hoping someone would mck a trilogy out of it. Thnx:)

  • I've always Renee Montoya ever since her first appearance in the Batman animated. I still like her and her current concept that she's a crusading PI who was inspired by Vic Sage's example.

I just don't like the idea of The Question as a legacy character.

They should have left well enough alone and retired the mask with Vic's death. Have Renee work with another persona or even without a mask.

A comic about an ex cop PI working in the DCU would be a great concept on it's own!

  • ive never really read any question comics, just seen his cameos in dc cartoons, but i still thought this was great, as are all you r short films

  • The Question is the greatest superhero ever! They should make a real movie.

  • Clever what you did with Diana's and Bruce's profile pages, I paused the video to read them after I briefly noticed the word "Knightfall" in on Bruce's page.

  • Were those the Madniks at 1:58?

  • how did you make the mask? stretched laytex?

  • @diddymuck watch my HOW TO video. its posted as a response.

  • Thats tight wow it shourd be a movie with little budget nice !!!!

  • Hey you do a great job on these DC characters, is it expensive for you to make?

  • @rotena25 depends. this one was cheap to make.

  • isn't the 'A is A' quote from a similar character that the Question is based on?

  • A isA;)

  • hey is question created after roschak (dont know how to spel but hes the guy from watchmen) or before

  • wikipedia, make friends with it. but no, question came first in the 60's. rorschach was based on the question.

  • okay thanks but seriously never trust wikipedia i had a ex-friend who always put wrong info on wiki, thats why i dont trust it

  • then use google.

  • okay, okay, you rock nice videos loved all but only problem is the quetions voice sounds too idk its not what i figured to be questions but then again its probably just me

  • @ShadowRockerMan wikipedia is actualy very trustworthy to an extent depends on what you are looking up mostly it has to have citations and links to your resources now then what it originaly was.

  • This took place before the 52 comics right?

  • during.

  • @blinky500 oh yeah cool so hens part 4 coming out or is it coming out.

  • when i get money to make it. i have no money at the moment.

  • I'm so sorry but I giggled maniaclly at the through this video because well; he sounds like a creepy stalker! XD That, and it reminded me of an EXTREMELY slashy scan I saw where they were both in the bug and Vic suggested they be partners while stuttering like a fool! XD

But getting back to the vid...I love it! <3 Too bad Q died of Lung cancer. ='[

I wish I had gotten into comics around 2000 instead of now. All my favorite characters would still be ALIVE! =[

    Your videos rock! =]

  • Two options they can be resurrected , bluaarg, puke, or you can read ther past adventures and enjoy them it like novels characters become alive again if you read them, as for the Question the series by Oneil and Cowan of 36 issues is the best, it is reflexive, enigmatic, action packed, and make questions?, about your life, the world, violence , a gem.

  • I do kind of wish they'd come back, but I can see how they might not. =/

Jaime and Renee have become popular from what I see. and I'm glad they have a good fanbase. =]

Reading the older issues is the best option. =]

Thank you for the info! =]

  • 1:56 "A is A" ? thats from Atlas Shrugged!

  • Well Kirby was a follower of Rand and he did create the Question.

  • Steve Dikto created the Question, Kirby had nothing to do with it.

  • Shit, you're right. I have no clue where my mind was that day. Although my response is still the same Ditko was an admirer of Rand ... just got my icons of comics mixed up.

  • Excellent video, very well done. I think anyone who remotely like the Question will thoroughly enjoy this.

  • The question is so damn cool, i would like to see a consparicy type movie of the Question. This guy gave

    jlu an edge.

  • Dude you've made my night/day. I always thought that they need to make a 'The Question' video. He's not a typical hero and I like that. In JLU I was enthralled by him! He's fascinating!

  • A is A , a tribute to the Justice League Unlimited Arc in Which Question tried to kill Luthor , to prevent Superman from kiiling hiM?, well that story was also a trbute , a homage to Watchmen, Question tookin the animated series a role similar to that of Ozzimandias , who tried to prevent a Global nuclear war,in Watchmen. So A= A , Tribute over Tribute, I miss the Questiojn by Denny O Neill and Denys Cowan, it was so realistic, insigthful, made you reflect, ask questions?

  • @TheVetoSkreeemer That was my all time favorite book.Denny and Denys are gonna get together one last time for a Darkest Night Question one shot.

  • Thanks ihope it has Vic Sage On It.

  • WHAT does he have? WHAT WHAT WHAT???

    :)

  • Where did you get the mask, i love these the question videos?

  • Obviously, this is before the 52, where we learn the mutliverse has not been collapsed

  • 'The Question' Whoever played his role did a great job. I can give him credit on being the best 'The Question' cosplayer around. -Heart-

  • How long ago would this be after final crissis. A week, a few month

  • actually, i believe i made this before final crisis was released.

  • okay thanks i have one more question (no pun intended) when Vic said "partners in another lifetime" was that a reference to the Charlton comics where they first appeared

  • you are correct sir. as they did team up from time to time.

  • The Question is my favorite comic character. This is very well done. Bravo.

  • Why does it seem like all the people who actually know how to do superheroes on film are the only ones that don't get the opportunity to make a big budget superhero film?

  • because hollywood has its head still shoved so far up its own ass that it will never see anyone outside its own circle.

  • Fucking awesome. I'm curious on how you did the mask.

  • watch my response video "how to make a question mask"

  • Yeah, I'm watching it right now. Thanks a lot. Might go as him for Halloween. Not a lot of people know about The Question.

  • He is truly on of the most underrated characters out there along with Blue Beetle.

I wonder if it would be possible to make a simple plastic mask for a halloween costume. Okay not as awesome as this one here, but a simple skin tone blank face mask that could be held with elastic would be pretty handy if you where just going for a halloween party, it would make drinking and eating a lot easier.

  • The Question! Always one of my favorite Ditko/Charlton Characters!

Are you going to do Mr. A too? "A is A"

    Who is Rorschach?

  • how could you call yourself a Question fan and not know who Rorschach is?

  • Sorry. Only read the Question in the Charlton incarnation and I don't remember Rorschach at all.

OK I did get the first 2 issues of the DC question, was Denny O'Neil writing it? Maybe?

Rorschach doesn't ring a bell, nor does the Rorschach mask.

Anyway, great film series. I always thought the Question would be great on the big screen.

  • didnt you see or hear about watchmen? it just came out on dvd and had a HUGE release back in february. rorschach was based on the question. were you living under a rock? its been rated the greatest graphic novel of all time. it was written 20 years ago.

  • Well, actually I WAS under a rock.

Never read the graphic novel, so I didn't get excited about the movie. Should I?

  • then do yourself a favor. get out from under your rock and explore. look up watchmen and see what youve been missing.

  • Your reply made me laugh.

  • the hits just keep on rolling. i really appreciate the quality and enjoy your work. the costuming is amazing especially showing us the mask you developed isn't just a face stocking. awesome!

  • its watchmen inspired?

  • actually this is the opposite. rorschach is based on the question. do some research and see what im talking about.

  • Well filmed. well written. Voice does not work. Too high, does not work for Question. I like it, all in all, good fan film.

  • Very, very well written. You're clearly a fan. Thank goodness for that!

  • "I've never been chummy with anyone--"

    i lol'd there.

"--as if we might've been partners in another life time."

    watchmen reference?

"I would've done the same, but then again I don't have such a prominent public image."

I just love the tone/way he said this for some reason. ;]

    very nice job.

  • I get what your saying:

    Question & Blue Beetle = Rorschach & Nite-Owl.

  • @NIGHTCRAWLERisdashit Actually the another life time is a reference to that Q and Kord were both characters of Charlton Comics in fact Q's first appearance was in Blue Beetle

  • see, now THIS was kickass. question obsessing over theories and conspiracies, while inadvertantly finding answers where no one else could see.

    pure question motif. kickass.

  • well this was part 1. putting this into context with part 2 and 3, it might help make for a better story. one that might appear more thought out (which it was). you were complaining about part 2 without seeing part 1 or 3. doesnt make for a good arguement when you've only seen the 2nd part of a of a 3 part story.

  • .... dude, before i even commented on any of your videos, i watched ALL three of them. i just came back to this video to show you an example... this was a good video. is that what you wanted to hear?

  • Is the video based on episodes of Justice League or Justice League Unlimited, or is it based on photoscans of pages from Justice League comic books?

  • no. its my own story.

  • If you maka "Who killed the Peacemaker?" you'll rock even more

  • sounds like a class act idea.

  • what comic is this based on? because this is really interesting, i wanna read the comic...

  • its based on the dc characters question and blue beetle. but its not based on one particular story.

  • so the story line was original? if so...you guy did a fantastic job

  • yes it was. thank you.

  • Wasn´t Rorshach inspired in both, the Question and Steve Ditko´s Mr. A?

  • yes

  • "A is A"

Hahaha I feel like such a nerd for getting that.

  • You know a lot about Watchmen, considered doing a Watchman one like this about Rorshach, just a suggestion, but would be awesome

  • FUTURA FONT FTW

  • Reminds me of Watchmen, Blue Beetle inpired the Nite Owl

  • yep. question, blue beetle, peacemaker, nightshade, captain atom and thunderbolt were inspirations for the watchmen cast.

  • Great video. really well done. How did you do the face mask and what music did you use?

  • music is listed in the credits and a how to video about the mask is posted a couple of inches above in the response videos.

  • sorry, *slaps forehead* just realised.

  • I love how everything is a conspiracy with Question

  • Great interpretation of Q. You made a live version of the character believably, and the mask is well done. Also, great photoshopping for the characters not yet featured on film. Looked good. Also- the voice is realistic. If you had tried to deepen it, it would have sounded stupid. I enjoyed the pants off of this. Props to the Watchmen nod with "feeling like we might have been partners in another life."

  • 'Props to the Watchmen nod with "feeling like we might have been partners in another life." '

Oh yeah! I totally forgot how Nite-Owl and Rorschach (who worked together) were based on Q and Blue Beetle when listening to that dialogue.

    Nice catch dude.

  • Thanks. I'm actually a dudette, but I can't expect you to know that. :)

  • Ah.

Well then, apologies and nice catch dudette. It's actually kinda refreshing to come across a girl who knows about comics.

  • No need to apologize. There are some of us out there, lurking in the shadows and pretending we aren't really THAT nerdy.

  • We aren't that nerdy . . . really.

    *slinks back to shadow*

    *lurks*

  • i absolutely love it, rip original blue beetle and hell yeah the question so under rated!

  • the guy looks like the guy from watchmen

  • rorshach was inspired by the question.

  • Comment removed

  • Great Video!

  • It's amazing how the actual DC plot is insane enough to pass for the Question's conspiracy theorist rambles.

  • oh holy F! That was almost perfect!! Bravo!

  • To put it bluntly this is very well done.

  • Great job on the makeup. Really well done.

And some people bitch about the voice, but, I think it has a certain sincerity and believability.

  • You need a deeper voice for question

  • i did my best.

  • I think you did well on his mannerisms though.

  • Definitely. She's perfect for Wonder Woman, or even perfect if she's not Wonder Woman. Sorry, started drooling just then. This video is awesome bro. I'm working on a Batman fan film, and would love to have it be the best quality fan film out there. You seem to be onto something. Any tips would be appreciated.

  • Awesome, man. Did you use Jennifer Connoly as Wonder Woman? Spot on!

  • yes i did. shes perfect right?

  • A film Noir masterpiece.

    WARNING!!!:

I know this is a fan film and you dont sell or profit from them but, youtube is coming down hard on all films that conflict with copyright laws and your account may be in trouble?

  • Hollywood dosn't have the stones to answer ' The Question'

  • cool movie.and you are the reason i joined youtube

  • thanks.

  • What!?!?!? Bruce is only worth 6.9 Billion???? ,and all this time I thought it whould be more like 750 billion. Hell the Wachtower must be worth that much alone.

  • BRAVO!! the question is my favorite super-hero

  • Referencing the Old Charlton comics relationships that inspired Watchmen. Pure genius Since no one seems to draw on there partnership post Crisis!

  • O.O fantastic. And even better, your Question is actually an Objectivist! *dances* I'm totally looking forward to your future films!

  • I love these films! Your quality is amazing. The lighting, camera work, and background detail are some of the best fan film work I've seen on YouTube.

  • This is one of the best comic book related fan films I have ever seen. Absolutely spot on. Thank you for making it.

  • DID HE FART SMOKE IN THE ELEVATOR?

  • do you not read comics? perhaps you should and then you probably find your answer.

  • I have one question, how did you make the mask?

  • second that question

  • watch the response video.

  • look in the related videos, this question gets asked so many times he made a video on how to do it.

  • Don't get me wrong, I'd love to hear your replacement. In fact I can't wait to hear it. Obviously you are a genius for choosing her because other people have picked the most absurd choices. But how can you replace a goddess like Jennifer Connelly?

  • oh i hear you. i met her once, she is truly gorgeous, but for obvious financial reasons, i cannot include her in my next fan film, so i have to make due. when i release the pics of my new wonder woman actress, i think you will be pleased. i hope you will be pleased.

  • AWESOME!!! I LOOOOOVE your Jennifer Connelly choice too. Lord have mercy if she ain't Wonder Woman who is?!!! Too bad she lost all that damn weight. Remember the Rocketeer days? The was the em "body" ment of PER-FECTION!!!

    Thanks

  • im with you on that. but fear not, i have a pretty good replacement lined up.

  • Awesome. The voice is right on, the lighting, even the small details!

    The Question has super-jouralism powers

  • nice. i like the "we might have been partners in another lifetime"-- a reference to rorschach and nite owl's partnership?

  • yes. and to their time spent together in the charlton days.

  • that was awesome!!!...

  • What's the music that's playing in the beginning from?

  • its from man on fire, by harry gregson-williams.

  • The Question rocks

  • its cool, but you made him seem more like rorschach than the question...

  • if you watch part 2 then you will see thats the idea.

  • That was great. You really hit that one out of the ballpark.

  • how long did it take to create those fake photos and news articles for the questions office? and jennifier connelly really does look like wonder woman so props on that match up, i wouldn't of thought of it.

  • it took about an hour or so. its funny right? its the little things that always catch your eye.

  • This si great!

The second part has some audio problems, I'm gessing that you didn't had a lot of experience with sound before this (usualy noone has), and it sucked the idea of the gun; but overall you kick ass!
