I don't know why people are making claims of antisemitism. The video is just recounting the facts of history. Christianity was not meant to be antisemitic- though, of course, Jesus predicted, and lamented the fact that they would reject him as the messiah. I implore any jewish person to read the book of romans, and notice the fact Paul pleaded for the jews, warned against gentile christians ever becoming arrogant toward them, and predicted their eventual restoration.

And notice the fact that nowhere in the new testament is there ever any command to attack, kill, forcefully convert, or mistreat jewish people. Instead, there is the command to be at peace with all men. Whereas the Koran clearly has commands for hostility, subjugation, and murder of Jews (and christians). The catholic church, in direct variance, and disobedience of the new testament, commanded terrible things be done to them- but I suppose the catholics need to answer for that, don't they?

Christians should not be anti-Semites. The Romans were not good, they were tools of God. Most Christians do not believe the Jews are evil. Everyone knows the Jews did not destroy their temple in AD-70. Christians believe Jesus-of-Nazareth was the promised Messiah. yes, in the main historic Christianity has always understood that AD70 events had significance, YET did not go hyper. It wasn't until the 1800s when dispensationalism grew up that Christians began to forget about the triumphant nature of Christianity. We don't need to go hyper to recover triumphantism in Christianity.

Why did you say this view is NOT in support of preterism? I am a preterist (not a hyper-preterist - I believe in the Second Coming and the Bodily Resurrection etc.)

An understanding of the significance of Nero's persecution (64 to 67 AD) as well as the siege of Jerusalem (67 to 70 AD) and the destruction of the Temple help us understand Daniel, Matthew 24 and Revelation. It also explains the book of Hebrews.

Because, historically "preterism" of ANY TYPE was NEVER a school of theology. What I hope to present is merely PRE-dispensationalism Christianity. You can look all through Christian history & see theologians advocating the thing some are now calling "partial or orthodox preterism". It is misleading to give this historic Christian perspective a new name, since it has ALWAYS been the position of Christianity from early on.

The problem is with your argument is that the terms: premillennialism, amillennialism, postmillennialism, futurism, idealism, historicism (and so on) are JUST AS NEW!

Prior to the Reformation there was the "COMMON CHURCH DOCTRINE" which had no name, but was various forms of amillennialism and postmillennialism (including preterism) and CHILIASM, which we now call premillennialism.

Preterism also refutes Higher Critics who say the Gospels were written AFTER 70 AD.

The Higher Critics cannot abide the existence of fulfilled prophecy. They say the Gospels prophesy AFTER the fact.

Yet Jesus is merely interpreting Daniel in the Mount Olivet Discourse.

It makes no sense that a Jew would write a history about fulfilled messianic prophecy (the Gospels) and not mention the Temple had been destroyed.

However, Barnabas, Josephus, and other writers do mention the events of 70 AD.
