The band is superb but sorry, but I think she should stick to the music she usually does. It just somehow doesn't sound right here with the phrasing and timing feeling kind of wrong if you know how the originals are sung. I adore this band - I have all their cds but she just doesn't fit in here. I liked SDO's Bettina Hermlin singing this with her smoky voice much better. That really got to my head.

Now, is there not a single native speaker (singer) who can do this right?

I struggle to get the sense where she is from...which maybe is just the spice that makes her performance so unique and mysterious. Somthing that you cannot learn or even try to copy - it is just her. So refreshing... Sure, she sings a song from the great Billy Holiday but then again it does not sound exactly like her...Finally someone out there with characteristic voice - THANK YOU!

Super Sängerin, super Orchester! Authentisch bis ins kleinste Detail kommt der Swing der 30 / 40 er Jahre zurück. Ich wüsste keine Band, die heute etwas Vergleichbares in dieser Qualität bietet.
