I'm probably gonna get condemned to hell for saying this but I personally think that Tarantino is overrated, sure his films are fantastic, but all of his film's are homages, Pulp Fiction is a homage to, well, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs is a homage to the crime genre, Death Proof is a homage to the grindhouse genre, Kill Bill is a homage to the kung-fu genre, Inglorius Basterds is a homage to the war genre, the list goes on and on, he makes fantastic films, but they're all pretty unoriginal.
@ComedyRoundTheCorner Homage or not he has his own style. Any one of his films could stand on his own. He's not overrated. He's an original. If you actually watched just one, just ONE of his films you would realize this. You know when you're watching a Tarantino film. There's no mistaking it. He has his signature.
@PropellerBusted Trust me, I like the guy, in fact, Reservoir Dogs is my 3rd favourite film of all time, but I think that he gets more praise than he deserves.
I read Vic Vega from RD is Vincents brother from this movie. It would be cool if it was true but Idk since some of the actors from RD are in Fiction it kinda defys it dont cha think?
Damn this film was amazing. Like Reservior Dogs, when the characters are having random, non-plot-related conversations (like the 'Like A Virgin' arguement in Dogs, or the talks between Jules and Vince about Europe and filthy animals), I could just listen to them all day and not get bored. That's what makes Quentin one of the GREATEST DIRECTORS IN HISTORY!
If you like Tarantino...check out Jean Luc Godard.
'A Band Apart' comes from Godard's film 'A Band Aparte'
Tarantino worships this guy. I'm not going to accuse Tarantino of 'stealing' anything...but he consistently pays homage to Godard. Check out 'A Band of Outsiders' and 'Contempt' if you like "Random, non-plot-related conversations"
pretty good movies..and i love all the actors in it...only....is this movie just supposed to be seen the way its shown?? or is there really a secret story behind this film....like the classic question what was in the briefcase..this mystery just kills me
