Awesome tracks the kit is beautiful I'm a bit jealous now, getting a new Masters Custom in a few months would love to get the reference series but would mean id have to wait a few months longer for a new kit. Though that's the good thing bout pearl can't really regret any shell choice cause Pearl drums rock!

its funny i used to play a lot and then i got a job at Guitar Center and for some reason just stopped playing for like two years partly because i needed to get myself out of some debt from making bad decisions when i was younger. Tho i'm only 22 now so not that young i guess lol but now i feel more committed than ever to get out there and play consistently like i used to do.

i used to play a lot when i was a teenager but then i got a job at a music store that killed all my practice and playing time, then had a two year period where i barely played at all, but now im back into it more serious than ever. prolly cause i just started trying my hand at actual song writing instead of just being the drummer.

btw how do you like the snare drum, i havent heard too many reviews about it, one drummer i spoke to thought it would suck because of the combination of birch and maple but he didn't actually hear one live. how does it compare to other snare drums you've had?

Pearl makes fantastic drums! My kit is the discontinued SMX series, and they still sound good.

Yeah, All the reference snares are 20ply thick. This thing weighs a tonne, and everytime i turn it upside down, i still get a shock! its MASSIVE! its got more crack than lightening and more balls than a bull!! Its HOT!
