  • Wow, nice tips.. :o

  • i find that calander pictures work pretty well

  • beautiful cat drawing major detail.

  • @narcovice Hi: Thanks for your comment. Cheers.

  • @pencilartnz amazing it, will help me a lot!. thankyou my best wishes.

  • Um... Yeah I wouldn't call that "drawing" I would call it more of, TRACING but yeah sure ok... I'll try to learn myself and NOT trace it. Practice makes perfect!

  • @WolfsRainBlue556

she/he just used a grid to get a perfect form but the real work is after the work with this grid. try to draw a cat WITH grid that looks as naturally as this cat she/he drew. ;D

  • Wtf?... How the f...... should I get the picture, well print it of a video!, Yeah... I nedd to go to my Maths classroom to get square PAPER! 'n grids, this is just squares are like eghmmm..... 16*16!.....

  • its not cheating its a refrene the grid doesnt do the lines for u, its hard to do it realistic... and its a good idea for begginers

  • i beive this is called Cheating

  • @de8struction

nothing is cheating if you can draw such realistic pictures.

just a helping to do ,,PERFECT" work.

  • @3lueChickeN Yeah its definitely not cheating.

    2 things 1 Dont trace.

2 dont trace and make a tutorial how to trace.

  • oh hey! my a teacher showed us this last year! i hadn't got a chance to try it and had forgot al about it! thanks

  • Great tip thanks. xx

  • music?

  • Using grids is just boring, I think, it takes away all the fun that drawing is really about.

  • @SimsShake I agree I never use any type of meausuring utensil unless it's my brain and only my brain because then I feel like I cheated. If I want to create my own art it needs to be from my own heart ,BRAIN, and soul. I don't hate on people who use meausuring utensils thought but my goal is to create beautiful art from scratch. Shading stinks though it's difficult... gahh...lol

  • @furiousjuffowup same here. i am a excllent drawer but i can't draw a stright ine. and rulers make it evn harder.

  • @SimsShake well its good if u o't have alot of time to wok on something. alot of times i draw and paint pics. for peope as christmas presents. this woud make self portraits or portraits of peopes pets or them go faster.

  • wow. i wish i could draw that good

  • your amazing i cant belive it!!! your realllllllyyyyyyy goood

  • why dont you show yourself actually drawing it.....that would be better.

  • I LOVE IT!

  • omg! your drawing looks like a photo! seriously...i wish i could do that

  • WOW!!!!! this is amazing!!!!! i cant belive i never thought of using a grid b4!

  • @Cop123lol Hi: Thank you.

  • you always need a grid to help!

  • @malik13ist Hi: Yes, I always use a grid. Cheers.

  • wow amazing

I'm in the middle of trying to draw a tabby at the moment but I can't get the texture of the fur right.. every hair seems to be a different shade which makes it pretty hard

    any tips?

  • I think a video would be great (fast motion). This video is great in directing one towards an easier time drawing a tabby cat but i think it would more beneficial to see how you draw the details! we also have the same way of drawing objects. I have a video of my own just like this without the tutorial. check it out!

  • Beatiful Work!

  • Looks like a real photo.

Sorry abaut my english, i come from suitzerland.

  • nice

  • Very cute <3

  • yah i think so!

  • D: You were way to fast for me :( but thats an awesome drawing

  • Thank you. Much appreciated.

  • @NoFacePerson

    yeah he is fast

  • this is very good but what about color??? and u didnt really show us HOW to draw a cat!

  • Thank you. Sorry, no color - I only work in graphite. Do you think a video camera would be more instructive? How about if I included some close-up views? Cheers.

  • O M G !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you.

  • wow how did you add so much detail to it?? i dont know how to do that. maybe. maybe not.

  • Hi. Thanks. Draw using the point of the pencil only ( keep sharp). The cat's fur can be reproduced as pencil lines that match the fur length and direction. Build up the drawing using only lines always paying attention to length and direction. For darker areas use a softer pencil or vary the pressure on the pencil. I use 2,4,6B. Any tone adjustments can be made with a putty eraser which will lift excess graphite. Keep making adjustments as required. Take your time. Have fun. Cheers.

  • thanx. so just time and effert? and the pencil point thing ? alright.

  • at first i thought it is calked from the photo, because of the grids and the lines drawn. But i suppose your technique with the grid makes it look like that.

    very good !!

  • wow!

  • This is my cat Green eyes all is

  • how long did it take u to do this pic?

  • It would have taken between 12 and 15 hours to complete. Cheers.

  • non Stop? or Pauses?

  • Hi: About two and a half to three hours drawing a day. Completed in about five days. Cheers.

  • so hard to draw..

  • a am trying to draw that
