Um... Yeah I wouldn't call that "drawing" I would call it more of, TRACING but yeah sure ok... I'll try to learn myself and NOT trace it. Practice makes perfect!
she/he just used a grid to get a perfect form but the real work is after the work with this grid. try to draw a cat WITH grid that looks as naturally as this cat she/he drew. ;D
Wtf?... How the f...... should I get the picture, well print it of a video!, Yeah... I nedd to go to my Maths classroom to get square PAPER! 'n grids, this is just squares are like eghmmm..... 16*16!.....
@SimsShake I agree I never use any type of meausuring utensil unless it's my brain and only my brain because then I feel like I cheated. If I want to create my own art it needs to be from my own heart ,BRAIN, and soul. I don't hate on people who use meausuring utensils thought but my goal is to create beautiful art from scratch. Shading stinks though it's difficult... gahh...lol
@SimsShake well its good if u o't have alot of time to wok on something. alot of times i draw and paint pics. for peope as christmas presents. this woud make self portraits or portraits of peopes pets or them go faster.
I'm in the middle of trying to draw a tabby at the moment but I can't get the texture of the fur right.. every hair seems to be a different shade which makes it pretty hard
I think a video would be great (fast motion). This video is great in directing one towards an easier time drawing a tabby cat but i think it would more beneficial to see how you draw the details! we also have the same way of drawing objects. I have a video of my own just like this without the tutorial. check it out!
Thank you. Sorry, no color - I only work in graphite. Do you think a video camera would be more instructive? How about if I included some close-up views? Cheers.
""Thank you. Sorry, no color - I only work in graphite. Do you think a video camera would be more instructive? How about if I included some close-up views? Cheers.""
a video camera would be awsome! Yes, close up-views too!! Get started, I want more!
Hi. Thanks. Draw using the point of the pencil only ( keep sharp). The cat's fur can be reproduced as pencil lines that match the fur length and direction. Build up the drawing using only lines always paying attention to length and direction. For darker areas use a softer pencil or vary the pressure on the pencil. I use 2,4,6B. Any tone adjustments can be made with a putty eraser which will lift excess graphite. Keep making adjustments as required. Take your time. Have fun. Cheers.
at first i thought it is calked from the photo, because of the grids and the lines drawn. But i suppose your technique with the grid makes it look like that.
in my opinion the drawing was better than the actual photo... :D
