Richard Brose owns a restaurant in my city now (Dothan, Alabama), called Richie B's New York Style Pizza. My friend applied for the job there, he said Richard is polite and mild mannered, a cool guy. Pizzas as big as the table you sit at.
I was a kid in the 1980's and yes I remember watching this great live show. Conan the Barbarian starred bodybuilder/actor Richard Brose and female bodybuilder Corey Everson. It was a fun show! I was there around 1987 or 1988. The show was removed around 1993 because by then Conan was seen as being too "80's" and not current. I was there during the opening of the E.T. and Back tothe Future rides and my favorite An American Tail the live show and Fievel's Playground. The 80s was fun!!!!!!
Why they got rid of this show (for the god- AWFUL Spiderman show) is beyond me. Amazing special effects that never got old, great stage combat, incredible audio and a dragon that never failed to take the audience's breath away. Just one more horrible decision on Universal's part right up there with the E.T. Adventure and Back to the Future The Ride. *s i g h* Damn shame.
My best friends Mother was Richard Brose agent in the late 80's. I remember he did a Kodak ad where he's holding a baby. Very nice guy. I have a couple of amateur videos of the Conan show I shot myself, back in the day. They should bring that show back. I also knew Mark Compary. Also very cool guy.
@red5conan : It would be totally radical if you could find someone to post the entire show on youtube. This was my favorite show at Universal as a kid. I even still remember what the theater smelled like.
@red5conan : I guess the theater smelled like cordite since there were so many special effects involving explosives and fire. I really loved seeing Conan. That and Miami Vice.

I LOVED this show as a kid! I also couldn't help but to stare at Red Sonja's sexy ass when she slid down that rope onto the stage... :)
Also... that dragon was so fucking COOL! I wish they had more shows like this @ USH nowadays!
