It means that he is not someone who sticks around. He uses you and leaves you. He never really loved her. She has a great voice.  I saw her live in Philadelphia opening for Garth before they were together and I thought something was going on with them at that time. I was right.

Joe could be his name or it could be just a reference that people use to talk about a person....i.e. Joe Public....or as burnt into our mind over this past election.....Joe the Plumber. Simply Trisha's best song, absolutely beautiful. I had always thought her duet with Don Henley on Hearts in Armor was brilliant, but this solo acoustic version surpasses it.

Oh yeah... definitely. In an old interview (I THINK with Ellen) she had said alot of what she went through in her past she wanted to keep to herself, so she didn't select songs that illustrated her. I LOVE how she does these.... and the new stuff is just as good.... she holds herself to a high standard and I LOVE IT!
