Are you considering manufacturing a Pocket Jib that can tilt the head manually? Would be perfect for those of us in the music video world. If you could manually tilt the head I and many of my friends would buy it!!!
Thanks. No showroom locations at the moment. Hopefully we will have the first small batch available in a month or two. Keep an eye on our website, Twitter, or Facebook for updates.
Our standard cranes have the ability to be configured for 5.5', 8', 12', and soon 16' lengths. Our standard cranes also allow for the manual tilt function.
wow, i've been looking for something exactly like the pocket jib for a long time. looks fantastic; exactly what i need and i can't wait to get my hands on one!
Given the dolly's estimated weight handling (25lbs) what are the risks/preventions needed to keep the tripod from falling over if the camera dollys to the end of its "track?"
It looks like the Pocket Jib also includes the features of the Pocket Dolly.
I'm wondering if one were to get a Pocket Dolly (assuming it comes out significantly sooner) would there be an upgrade kit or update policy if one wanted to move to the combo device.
I think you need to be careful about the names you chose so it's clear that you do have a combo device.
I think you may be confused. The Pocket Jib™ & Pocket Dolly™ are two different products that can be used together. There is a jib (Pocket Jib™) and a slider/dolly (Pocket Dolly™) which can be mounted to the jib, if you so desire.
What is shown and described here is the Pocket Dolly™ mounted to the Pocket Jib™.
The jib looks really good, I like that it can extend. The only think I don't really like is that it is wide...although I know why you did this(for larger cameras), but this would keep me from strapping it to my tripod back and taking it into the field with me. without an extra person for it. If only it could collapse in width also.
Thanks for making a facebook page and a dvinfo account.
hey i looked at your website! i know this must sound like a stupid question but when it sais crane only does it include tripod?

Perhaps you will sell a pocket to put these pocket products, for particular people? I wouldn't want to put pits in my pocket products.

The Pocket Dolly™ should be available next week @ a price of $499.95.
The Pocket Jib™ is still a couple months out, probably. We'll keep sending updates out via Twitter.

Can the pocket jib be converted into the 8 or 12? THAT WOULD ROCK.
bennybriceno 2 years ago
No. This is strictly a small compact jib.
Our standard cranes have the ability to be configured for 5.5', 8', 12', and soon 16' lengths. Our standard cranes also allow for the manual tilt function.

sorry to ask such a "lame-o" question, but would this whole setup work with an hvx200a?
pilotwes247 2 years ago
Yep, should not be a problem. We are still doing our testing, but the "functional" weight capacity while probably be somewhere around 20 - 25 pounds.

About a month ago you mentioned a $400-$500 price range but the video only showed dolly use. It this new dolly/jib combo still in that price range?
seecraig 2 years ago
No, the $400-$500 price range is for the Pocket Dolly™ only. We are still working on a price for the Pocket Jib™. Hope to have that soon.

Absolutely confused but that cleared it up.
So one can get Pocket Dolly and get Pocket Jib at a future point and mount Pocket Dolly to it.

How heavy of a camera would you be using?
KesslerCrane 2 years ago
Right now I'm just using an HV30 with a wide angle lens. When I graduate in May and find a good job I hope to get a scarlet sometime in the future.
