On the last corner when he said gentley gentley I would have pulled the handbrake and floor the car and drifted it to be sure I aced the test : P but if it's taken like a low flying pilot pass near an ATC tower like in Top Gun and not seen like a Tokyo Snow Drift then I would be screwed
I'm sorry who ever said ken block is the shit... He sucks!!! On the WRC he only managed to complete like two stages without writing off his car!! He may be ok at fancy gymkhana but actually rally driving and racing he is truly aweful.
And to that other guy... in a manual yeh if ur breaking u will need to downshift to keep revs within the optimum torque-band.
If I was an instuctor, I'd let the students drive without me telling them what to do and when to break. Then after they've gotten they're own feel for the car, start teaching them techniues such as the scandanavian flick, handbrake turns, left foot breaking and just simple cornering control over the car. I don't find this instuctor very great at all. Buddy should have more speed throughout the course. But that's just me, I like sketchy speeds and turns.
question...i notice the instructor saying break break alot...but the driver doesnt down shift
so heres my question when braking in a manual transmission car,,slight braking as seen here is it necessar to down shift opr will the transmission catch up so to say
Did you noticed, that guy didnt changed a gear once? At the end, when there was a longer straight, he absolutely forgot to shift and he hit a rev limiter. Absolutely useless driver used to drive automatic gearbox car. (My opinion)

so we get time in a crap jap front wheel drive POS whilst Audi quattros tromp the closed track with 130 hp and prolly lap this loser, umm by the by, my Son has an Audi 4000 quattro 2.2 litre turbo 350 hp, this video is BORING, ever drift in an all wheel drive car?
I think i'll sign up once I get the money. I got info on the school a few months ago and i've been fascinated by rallying and its techniques for a while now.
I love Team Oneil, place looks just like I remember it. I love all their old school Audis, I hope to take their course and someday run my oldschool Audi in a similar style.
Ive watched this video countless times in anticipation of my upcoming class with Team Oneil. Hopefully I'll have a similar video up post class. Good Stuff, thanks for getting me hyped!
Hey sorry it took so long to respond. But yes I did like it. It was very cool. I took the 3 day course. Alot of hands on driving but most of the rally techniques learned cannot be used in daily driving. Although there are some real world scenerios that are taught. Btu just being able to drive like that was extremely exciting and was an adrenoline rush. Peace
NO ROLLCAGE?
