As a former TSA employee that got fed up with their complete breakdown of security, I can tell you with 100% certainty that it is NOT against the law to film the TSA in the performance of their duties. The only thing that is prohibited to film in a checkpoint are the Xray monitors, for the privacy of the individual being screened. What the TSA is doing is wrong, plain and simple.

Its is NOT against the law to film anyone in a public space, no one has an expectation of privacy especially law enforcement. It is against tsa policy to film the video screens.
