So, there must be some differences in the DNA then, I assume. A clone would have the same fingerprints, presumably, but even in cloning there is some degradation, and therefore some difference however small.

No, there will be a very few minor changes in their sequences however which won't affect much differences. What is difference is how often these genes that are part of the
DNA are expressed due to environmental factors.
