Oh my...this has allways been my favorite. I remember being shoved down in the floor board of my sister's Firebird with an 8 track so that she can cruise alone, blaring LoverBoy and CCB. Oh, what memories. I came along in '76....but I loved what I had of the 80's. It's so nice to see a sweet, fun, loving couple and then the babies....and how they make life so much fun...and the whole marriage looks so happy and they look so in love. CBB were the soundtrack of my life in the 80's - I was so in love. married the most wonderful man and we had a beautiful clever boy. Sadly he was murdered in 1996 when he was just 40 years old and I miss him every day
Yes, thanks for asking. It took 9 years to find his remains and then within days they arrested the guy - and would you believe, all this 2 weeks before my wedding to my 2nd husband. After 9 years of not knowing what happened it was traumatic but a relief to finally know what happened.
You kids are so lucky to have parent who even have pics like those :) Some of us wish we would have had that kind of lovin our house! XOXO to you... It's sad for some of us whose parents never even went to parent/teacher conferences etc... so kiss eachother! Nice you did this for them,, I'm crying feeling sad about my craapy ubringing.

I've watched this video so many times in the past. It's my favorite love song, and by far the best video on youtube. Incredible family, Mom looks like she just stepped out of a photo from their wedding, still. Dad hasn't turned out too shabby either, one of those "well aging" guys. I laugh when I see this because I also have the good fortune of marrying a woman who just continues to defy time and the birth of three kids. Myself, you can tell by my hairline that I have three daughters now.

You kids are so lucky to have parent who even have pics like those :) Some of us wish we would have had that kind of lovin our house! XOXO to you... It's sad for some of us whose parents never even went to parent/teacher conferences etc... so kiss eachother! Nice you did this for them,, I'm crying feeling sad about my craapy ubringing.

Hi there Iowaswimmer746, I basically had the same kind of upbringing you did probably even worse but I still remember the wise words of a friend who told me "When you have your own family, mold it into have you want it to be" and do you worry about where you came from but focus on where you want to go!!
P.S. Eventhought I am from Texas, I attended graduate school at the University of Iowa from 1994 through 1996!! Go Hawkeyes!!

I've watched this video so many times in the past. It's my favorite love song, and by far the best video on youtube. Incredible family, Mom looks like she just stepped out of a photo from their wedding, still. Dad hasn't turned out too shabby either, one of those "well aging" guys. I laugh when I see this because I also have the good fortune of marrying a woman who just continues to defy time and the birth of three kids. Myself, you can tell by my hairline that I have three daughters now.

Great video and a great gift to your Mom & Dad. What a wonderful family. It made me cry, thinking about my own parents and how they had 44 & 1/2 years together before we lost Mom this past November.

what a nice video! i can see LOVE all throughout the pictures and i had this silly smile all throughout the video, as if I am in love too! It was also nice to see the how your family has grown over the years. It is so nice! Your mom is so beautiful! It's like she hasn't aged at all. I can see your father is a good man. My sister sent me the link to this video because she thought it would be a good song for my band to cover. I too, like so many others, was moved by the video. It's a wonderful blessing from God that through him you've touched so many people with this expression of love for your family. This is beautiful. Your mom is beautiful! I think this is an amazing thing you did for your parents. You and I are probably around the same age, and this really touches my heart and makes me think about how lucky I am to have a great family too.
