  • @PeterParkerisded Trees are my favorite target. Fun. Plus they had been looking at me funny.

  • @PeterParkerisded i do have a $300 shrine sword from handmadeswords. that has only one purpose, the cheap model is what i use to get used to the real sword. I just wasnt learning with bokken.

  • @PeterParkerisded And its an $80 sword, hell yeah i practice on maple and bamboo, its a cheap CUTTING sword. You can shame me when its a $700 sword.

  • @PeterParkerisded i mean really, what the hell else are you going to practice on? This just baffles me that i prepare a proper bamboo target in place of tatami, prepared to the hardness of a wristbone, and i get called an idiot? Or did you ASSUME that the bamboo was cut fresh? And by the way, bamboo isnt a damn tree, its a breed of grass. If you going to call me a retard, dont start your insult with a false statement. Maybe do a little self reflection on that "idiot" comment.

  • @PeterParkerisded Well come on over, we'll see how well it works on its intended purpose. Are you serious? You must be a psycho to think that someone should practice on PEOPLE! Cause thats what the katana was designed for . Bamboo and tatami are common cutting targets for a sword. I mean honestly, do you even know about the martial arts world? Tell you what, you stick to practicing on your neighbors, i'll stick to properly prepared targets.

  • i like how you are "NOT" biased. great review

  • @WhitePureTrue Life look good from your highhorse? Its called training, trial and error. Nowadays my sword has gone through countless cuts, mostly through 10 inches of bamboo with perfect cuts each time, with a repetition of 4 cuts in 1 second. Martial arts is marred by you arrogant shits putting down people who are beginning. I'm an axe user by heart. Anyways, enjoy your highhorse, i'm sure you are a true master with swords to pass judgement so loosely.

  • Just bent the junk outta my blade on 7 inches of a maple tree lol. got the first cut flawlessly, second cut, did it wrong, now the blade is basically useless lol

  • Yes, but does it blend???? lol on a more serious note, is this full tang?

  • I bought a Chiness kodachi from SBG, I love that little sword, nice little cutter

  • Same thing happened with mine. Full of dings at the edge when cutting hard objects, like dried bamboo or plastic pipe... I love it though. Amazing sword overall. Can anyone reccomend a similar sword that wont get damaged like this one? PM me please.. thanks!

  • dude.. i miss judged a thick branch cut.. it went through the branch n kept going to the fence.. metal fence had a gash. no rolling, flatning or ne damage to the blade edge wht so ever.. i love this f**king sword..

  • @mickkidoTV Yeah I have cut through bamboo with mine, and branches two inches thick. No rolling.

  • @lordpoee yes! makes me hope that musashi swords stays around for a good long time. :)

  • im sorry but i love your face on the first tatami cut haha

  • my $60 musashi handles dried bamboo

  • @FatGuyWithAKatana Lies :o

    - Rev

  • @TeHGoodReverend you got the elite tempest!? lucky duck! which tanto ya get?

  • @FatGuyWithAKatana I am ordering the Tempest next week :), I'll send you a PM about the tanto.

  • wow not bad for 80 bucks

  • bambu? jajajajajajajajaja

  • how an u tell if the hamon is real or not?

  • @john1112112 (I'm not an expert, but) One clue is that fake hamons are often too regular and simple in shape. A lot of fakes look like a perfect sin wave. Real ones are more organic.

  • what about detecting fake damascus? that appears to be harder to do.

  • Comment removed

  • I was wondering why you re-uploaded that vid, now you opened our eyes to the catch of this katana!

  • Great video, Mr Paul! Thanks for an honest critique, yet again.

  • Thanks for the video.

My wife bought me this sword for our anniversary. Sadly, she paid way more than $80 for it (damn you, Cutlery World) and it's not what I would have wanted for my first sword*. However, I'm glad to see it can cut.

*I'd have wanted to go with that Ninja-to I saw on the SBG site

  • Whats the shipping price to Colorado?

Trade you a Native american Dream Catcher =D

  • Depends on where you are buying from. I would say do it from Wiwingti.

  • U IZ BAAAAAAAAAAAACK

  • cool sword for 80$
