i ask why? Tribes, generals , warlords fighting never ending wars against each other .when the population increases so does hunger and disease.The ideology is similar to a pyramid , each group trying to kill each other until one group controls food and medicine, that's as far as they get and the process repeats itself all over again.Peace should come from western powers or atleast arrange a cease fire and share the food and medicine

Ofcourse the Ugandan Army couldn't defeat the LRA because the LRA had it's camps across the Sudan border, to many Uganda Army incursions into Sudan would evoke a war with the much bigger Sudan. Bashir gave the LRA shelter and arms in return the LRA helped Bashir fight the SPLA. Since the 2005 peace deal between Khartoum and the SPLA the LRA has been expelled from Sudan. But unfortunatly Al Jazeera has confirmed with witnesses that recently the LRA has contacted Khartoum again in south Darfur.

If South Sudan becomes independant and inter tribal war overthere distracts attention. Bashir will again arm and shelter the LRA but than in return the LRA has to help Khartoum fight the Darfurians. That's why Khartoum didn't stick to their deal with Uganda. Uganda did, and killed John Garang, but Khartoum didn't hand over Koni to Uganda as was promised, they just expelled him (fully armed) out of Sudan. "Sorry, we tried but they escaped" Bashir said. "nice job with Garang's helicopter btw".

It's not just Uganda. Its Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Suda, Chad. With the Chinese gaining interest in Afria's recources as well, regardless of who if in charge of a nation, or what his policies are, I only see more military dictators, civil wars and genocides coming.
