can you please tell me where exactly is this place and what month this was. i will be visiting Mexico in winter and would LOVE to see this. I am thinking of getting a monarch butterfly tattoo and seeing them live would make it more meaningful.
@claudiamontes16 maybe is little to late, but is in the state of Michoacan in the Municipio de Angangueo, like 2 hrs from Mexico City, the season is between Novermber to March, is better if you ask in a Tourist agency about tours speak in english because many locals just speak spanish. I WISH A GOOD TRAVEL IN MY WONDERFULL CONTRY!!!!!!!!!!!

This is, in my opinion, the most beautiful video in youtube. When I walk into the gates of heaven, this is what i want to be welcomed with... Thank you for posting :)
Wow, a figure i'm about 6 hours to the northeast and to not know of this idyllic place,......i frequently go to morelia but i don't know where this place is, is this near tingambato, there's avocado trees and pines here.*****
I went there on a College road trip! I learned more spanish on that trip than I ever learned in school. Must have been the butterflies! Thank you for your beautiful vid of this amazing place in the world. :D
Hi happy people. I posted this. The song is "Cielito Lindo" (Beautiful sky) by Marta Gomez. The monarchs are in a part of Mexico called Michoacan, and they're there for the winters. This video barely does it justice.
The kickoff event is from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 11 at the refuge's Doeskin Ranch on RR 1174. Groups must register. Most activities are free. good luck (;
Ok, I recently read about the Monarchs in Mexico and feel like I have been living under a rock! How amazing!!! I love the video! When is the best time to visit Mexico to see the Monarchs and where do you go? Any info or direction to info would be greatly appreciated! :O) I have to see this in person someday!
I have been there, walked that path, practically breathed the butterflies. I've seen them weighting the limbs of the conifers until they hang straight toward the ground. This video is very nicely done, including the choice of music, and captures the magic of this incredible place.
