Dottie had a way of singing, that really made you feel whatever emotion she was feeling. Here I can feel pain and regret, and in songs like "Country Sunshine" I always feel nothing but pure joy. Why is she not a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame? She is one of the great forgotten ladies of country, like Donna Fargo and Wanda Jackson and many others.
She was wonderful and the sad thing is that she wouldn't have a chance in today's country market!
