  • I love your videos. I've been in the avian field, for 25yrs now. Having both wild & domestic species experience. And own a gray mutation IRN named Keiko. I'm thinking about getting him a buddy, but i wasn't sure on whether it should be a Cockatiel or Green-Cheek Conure. My Keiko is quite the talker, and i've had many Cockatiels in the past. Just not sure, how the two would interact with one another. Were your birds introduced at the same time, or separately...? That can make a huge difference...

  • @tomtalker2000 Yes, i had them at the same time and they've stayed in the same cage ever since...They get along really well but the cockateil sometimes seems jealous when i handle the ringneck for an extended period of time... And for the parrot you are planning on getting, i would say you get one you feel comfortable with and have more experience with.Green cheek conure are fun playful birds that don't make as much noise as the others, such as sun conures...

  • @tomtalker2000 But cockateils in my experience seem to be more independent and have beautiful variations in colors.(Mines a lutino). But i'm pretty sure which ever one you get, it will be fun for you and the parrot because of the experience you have with them...Good luck on your new parrot!

  • Thank you!!!

  • Beautiful birds!!!!
