God bless her soul. She was a goodhearted person she supported the gay community and had love for them instead of hate. In an "industry" where that was not a popular attitude among her close peers I'm sure. Jim Bakker now he's another story. What a shlub. My heart goes out to Jim and Tammy's children the scandal and Tammy's death must have been very hard on them.
Aww, I miss her! I knew her from the scandals, makeup, etc. since I was a kid..... it wasn't 'til 'the eyes of tammy faye' that i truly saw her as the beautiful person she was. I'm an agnostic, but if there IS a heaven, I sure hope she's there.
I used to watch her for "shock value". I thought "What is she trying to sell now?". You don't know what you have until you lose it. She is intelligent, ahead of her time and a Christian in the true sense of the word.
I found a great picture with Jim and Tammy standing next to the gospel singer Mahalia Jackson. . . her career spans many generations and she made a deep impression on many people in many ways. She was a genuine soul, who stood up against the Religious Right and defended principles. . . not dogma.
If you read the bible it states somewhere that if one in a marriage has committed adultry the other is free to divorce.Tammy Faye was free. As for her theology ? She lived her life just as each of us do. This interview is historic and , honest. Cancer had taken place in Tammy's body, why in the world would she have a reason to lie in this interview.
Tammy was the most faithfilled, true, and gracious woman, that I ever knew. I am so proud to have been able to call her my friend. I still think of her courageous battles. Such dignity.
u know the effects of cancer changed her so much her face got alot weaker her voice was very slow and it seems diffcult for her to speak without taking big breaths its a shame what happend to her
Tammy Faye was quit a character. I am a Witch not a Christian but I enjoyed watching her on t.v. (I like to educate myself about other religions). I was glad to see when she got into secular telivision. I feel she was genuine in her faith. Rest in peace Tammy Faye.
Tammy Faye said Jesus loves you, really loves you. It was a revelation to me that He did love me. I repented and he saved me. Since then, I know the PTL did many things that were not right. So I am sure Tammy and Jim had tthings to repent for.
Their sins are between them and God. Who am I to judge anyone. I am a forgiven sinner too. Thank God for His mercy and grace! If he could forgive me, I know He will forgive anyone.
She is in heaven...however, most of you will never even get close...unless you repent and be saved. Repenting is a continual process...you never give up! If you refuse...you have chosen poorly. The choice is yours and you will decide...one way or the other. Please choose heaven.
Thank GOD somebody besides Larry King is doing the interviewing. I mean, please! Enough already with Larry and his 5-packs-a-day-for-fifty-years voice.
This interview was only 3 years before her death, had terminal cancer here...and the Larry King interview she did was 3 days before her passing into life to be with Jesus.
how can anyone "love" anyone that stole from people that saved all their lives, only to be robbed by tammy and jim...??? they stole millions from people...he did time and she got to spend the rest....
Who, tell me who wouldnt spend the money, she made way more on her recordings, that was always put back into HERITAGE USA- Tammy played mistress to JIM'S DREAM, being THE PTL CLUB. She owned nothing, and what was in her posession was taken by another minister-
I loved Jim and Tammy and the whole vision of the PTL movement and the grand legacy of what Heritage USA was all about. I also loved Tammys sense of style, her wardrobe, and that mascara look that only Tammy could pull off. Sad to say it proved that money is the root of all evil,...It had so much potential to be a franchise much like the Gaither empire,....sadly it is now but a memory,...
Jan 19th 2005 - The interviewer says it when she is introducing Tammy Faye. I was amazed at the (mine?) misconception's of this woman. She was displayed by the media, back when the Jimmy/Jessica incident came forth, SO differently than what she really was. She was really a lovely, kind, fun woman and I am glad that the real Tammy Faye was exposed before her death.
Tammy's courage in the face of so much adversity, and alway had a smile on her face! She made us laugh until the end! Her openess as a person is very much admired by me.
I suppose when wanting a complete archive wit no holes you have to, relutantly, perhaps grudgedly, show all -the accomplished,as well as the failures...the celebrated, as well, the notorious...the beautiful, as well...the ugly. Good grief archiving must be hell sometimes.
Jim and Tammy are (were) human beings made of flesh and blood fully able to "fall down". There was only one man who walked this earth who was without sin. Jim and Tammy were a wonderful couple and Tammy was, quite frankly, a hoot! Jim has paid his debt, according to the law and Tammy repented and led thousands to Christ before her death. Remember, the whole world was with her that week!
I just found it....We're Blessed. Love that song....

I liked Tammy Faye. She was no push-over, she was what she was-take her or leave her. She seemed sincere, and she always appear to be so kind.

I thought she was a lovely woman but she doesnt seem to happy here. I think she must have been sick here and maybe was unaware of it.

Though I disagreed (still do) with her choices** and her views on homosexuality, I am attracted to her personality-a well balanced one..
**She had no business leaving Jim when he needed her the most.

I agree with you 100% on everything you said. Her theology wasn't sound in the least., and
her divorce wasn't Biblical. Although, at this point, I bet Jim Bakker is rather relieved that she divorced him. Just a thought.
