  • Epic ownage! Go Ron Paul! Speak the truth so these ignorant folks can understand!

  • Health care in the Netherlands

    /watch?v=YkLxk335cHs

  • i am from canada and i still think Ron Paul is right on this issue: 100% private health care is better than 100% public health care. health care in canada was more expensive than health care in the US before obamacare in many cases, and many people in canada have to go internationally to get health care without waiting years in line. and people who pay taxes end up, im many cases, paying for the health care of people who dont take responsibility of their own health

  • Ron Paul 2012!!!!!!!!

  • Ron Paul has been proven right about everything he's said the past 30 years. He could be wrong, but the odds would indicate that's highly unlikely.

  • @bosshog7169 So you're going to look at odds instead of actual arguments? Even if he was "right about everything he's said the past 30 years", which is a ridiculous claim, that would still mean nothing in regards to health care. Do you even know what the appeal to authority fallacy is?

  • Free healthcare? Read the fine print, nothing is free, and I will be paying for teenage crackheads to get abortions....no thanks.

  • Nobody said it's free, and I agree that you shouldn't have to pay for abortions. However, people who can't afford insurance need help from the government.

  • @Edgehead10075 The government cant help anyone, without the income tax and seeing as I am not for abortions, would it be okay for my money to go to something I see as wrong?

  • I agree with Ron Paul on almost everything. But he is wrong on the healthcare situation.

Not having free healthcare is satanic.. thats how i see it.

They need to copy englands healthcare system.

People blindly supporting Ron on this are stupid.

What happens when you find out your sick and you have no insurance?

Who will help you?...Nobody! You will have to die a slow painful death because you have no healthcare.. its inhumane.

  • @Demov12 government is why prices are out of reach. Ever wonder why doctors don't come to your home anymore?

  • if we should have free heathcare we should have free housing too see the problem with that

  • Well, there is government housing for poor people.

  • @Demov12 What you're saying is that we should steal money from other people (aka taxes, if you don't pay taxes, you go to jail, so yes, stealing) to pay for health care for EVERYONE... and because of that, it has gotten too expensive. If there is competition for health care it will be LOADS cheaper and people will be able to afford it. And if we have free health care, should we have free insurance too? should we all get free houses? free gas for our free cars?....

  • Taxes aren't stealing. They're our dues for living in a civilized society. Taxes are the common good.

  • @Edgehead10075 Taxes is not common good "If Congress can employ money indefinitely to the general welfare… The powers of Congress would subvert the very foundation, the very nature of the limited government established by the people of America." - Alexander Hamilton

  • @Edgehead10075 Taxes is not common good "No taxes can be devised which are not more or less inconvenient and unpleasant."

    - George Washington

  • @Edgehead10075 Taxes are not common good; "“All taxation is an evil, but heavy taxes, indiscriminately levied on every everything are one of the greatest curses that can afflict a people”" - Henry Brooks Adams, American writer 1838-1918

  • I don't support free anything. Just the government should help out those who are too poor to afford health insurance.

  • @Edgehead10075 and how should they pay for that? they have to take it out of our taxes. health care would be much more affordable for everyone if government was not involved. and those that cannot care for themselves, you cannot take services from others by law. they have to be given voluntarily by churches and hospitals. read up what ron paul says about that.

  • Everyone should have healthcare, but your notion that it's "free" is absurd. Nothing is free.

  • @Demov12 the government is stealing from you to pay for everyones healthcare. if government were not involved, it would not be so expensive. and yes there are people who will help. voluntarily and by churches. health care is a service, not a right. you should not automatically get health care like you should automatically have free speech.

  • @Demov12 Ron Paul supporters understand Whats happened to Health care system they r not stupid. Your implying that the role of government is to cure poor people's sickness because they cant afford. You need to understand that since the Govt Has gotten involved in health care they have turned it into a for profit system that only benefits the pharmaceutical industry. Health more than anything is a personal responsibility if its out of your hands turn to your community for resources.

  • poor try, none of Paul's statements were falsified in this vid

  • I don't totally agree with single-payer, but I do think that everyone who can't afford health insurance should be helped by the government. I also support a public option. Anyway, Ron Paul's solution is just plain lunacy. It's amazing how many YouTubers worship this idiot; there need to be more anti-Paul videos out there.

  • I like Ron Paul and I gave his point of view a shot but I just cant agree with it, mostly because I am in a country where we have socialized medicine. In an age where we CAN solve all these medical problems so easily it shouldn't be that some can't get it because others want to make ridiculous amounts of money of it. People used to die of diseases and disorders because they couldn't do much about it. Now that we can relatively easily it should almost be a right to have cheap health care.

  • You shouldn't like Ron Paul. He's a fucking asshole.

  • Ron Paul is either dim or dishonest, no other way around it. What a bunch of mindless cultists his followers are. Worse than Obama's fans.

  • Just think of how cheap healthcare would be if we transferred all the wealth we put in health insurance to actual health providers. That is the RP way. Only under a true free market can humanity's compassion flourish.

  • Herberthoover2009 = twat.

  • I would trust Ron Paul who is a doctor on Health Care.

Yet this fool says Ron Paul is wrong.

  • So all doctors are geniuses? Lol. Just because he's an M.D. doesn't mean his solution to the healthcare problem is feasible.

  • I think the subtly of this issue is that these things need to be handled on the local level/ State level at least currently, the Federal gov. is bankrupt, and it really cant handle this especially with the rampent corruption in campaign financing and corporatism/ lobbyist strangling the capacity for elected officials to govern. Our government is obscenely top heavy, be need to handle the debt, and give back power to the states the way this country was structurally made to work. DR. PAUL 2012

  • Fuck Ron Paul. Single payer is a success in Canada, and it's a success in France. Our health care system is a murderous, twisted system.

  • @LiberalJerseyman So the French citizens match the income of Americans, or did the 30% gap go to healthcare?

  • @gotitans999 The 30% gap comes from the bottom 90% of French having more income then Americans but the top 10% having less. Also the US spends about twice as much on healthcare per capita compared to any 1st world nation, yet it has a system that's worst then all of them as well as many developing nations.

  • @LiberalJerseyman Is that why several Canadian provinces have started to move away from the single-payer system? Quebec started in 2008, and has had a drop in wait times, and the care is the same. I Agree with you. our current system (almost completely created by the evil symbiosis between idiot lawmakers and the drug companies who buy them) is horrible. That's why Ron Paul wants to change it!

  • @nikolaib Bullshit. Single-payer grants care to everyone at high-quality. Some Canadian politicians are going against single payer because they want power and money from pharmaceutical companies and health insurance providers.

  • I know it's hard for morons to understand, but the government has made health care and insurance expensive by over regulation.

Then the government comes in with a solution for the problem THEY created.

It's a scam you fucking rocket scientists.

Government is not the answer, LESS government and a REAL free market will make healthcare affordable for everybody.

    RON PAUL 2012 !

  • If the free market were allowed to work, health care would be cheaper and attainable for everybody in the U.S. Today, all we have is the government colluding with the medical corporations to keep out competitors and keep prices high. We DON"T have a free market health care system, so don't think this is the product of capitalism.

I used to live in Germany. I had TMJ, and had to wait 6 weeks to see a physical therapist. It was free, but I couldn't chew solid food for a month and a half.

  • Ron Paul is a Senile idiot! Old fuck needs to give it up!

  • Not like they'll tell you the dirty truths...

  • Uploader: A Dumbass

  • everyone agree that healthcare is a big problem with their wasteful money too many allocations that impede many from getting covers. healthcare needs a serious reform because we need, our current healthcare under Obama administration was passed on the fly and thousands of pages that no one cared to read. now that's the problem. the regulations on the healthcare plan is a joke. what don't you get? get rid of it and pass a real healthcare plan, if you work you should be able to afford it.

  • Stop depending on the federal Givernement to take care of you! Its LAZY!, Unconstitutional and for Govt to provide something to somone they have to take it from someone else. The gvernemnt doesnt have the authority. STOP TRAMPLING OWN MY COUNTRY! FOLLOW THE CONSTITUTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Create a system in your local community that works your local area reuest to pay the tax necessary to establish a 24 hr clinic equipped with DR, surgeon, physcian, nurses 24/7 JUST STOP RELYING ON THE GOVT!

  • Shut up. It's government's responsibility to take care of those who need healthcare. It's called the "common good." You don't just let them die.

Unconstitutional? The Supreme Court doesn't seem to think so.

  • @Edgehead10075 No actually you are incorrect Govt is not responsible to take care of any1's health. That responsibility is left up to the community and if they dont have to resources they must explore their immediate regional options and if that is not enuff they must go beyond whats available and explore more. Sumtimes Health problems can be easily fixd if we just were more conscious of our health. when government gets involved say good bye to your freedoms whether sick or not.

  • No, I'm right. That's how the general welfare clause has been interpreted, and we're never going back. What do you mean by "community"? Government IS the community. Do you mean people knocking on neighbors' doors, asking for some money to pay for healthcare? That is fucking absurd.

Some people AREN'T conscious of their health. Are you saying we should let them die?

  • @Edgehead10075 The general welfare clause in the constitution has be misinterpreted jus like the bible. "We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution." - Abraham Lincoln. When I say community I mean a tight network of citizens who have concentrated and focus whats important to them at a local level not a federal level. Governement today is a Community of Scum bags.

  • @Edgehead10075 A true functioning community has the ability to work w other communities to gather resources to combat illnesses for everyone. Knocking on a neighbors door is 1 way. Benevolence is also affective. Since the govt has got involved it has turnd HC system in2 a for profit system benefiting only Drug Industry. Govt today is not the general American community they are Rich lawyers or Wallstreet slicksters. They dont care about our health they just want our money.

  • I believe in Americans keeping their freedoms. I'm not really for a government takeover of healthcare. I probably disagree with a lot of Obamacare, so I won't be bothered if it's tossed out. However, people who can't afford healthcare deserve help. Why do you think Medicaid and Medicare are so popular? It's because those people wouldn't be insured otherwise.

  • @Edgehead10075 insurance was never really needed till govt got involved making Health care expensive. the large industry of Insurance involved in health care is a symptom of high pricing due to central banking and inflation. Back in the day people were able to pay their Dr without insurance. over a period of bad policy making and giving more power to the Fed Reserve has made Health care expensive. The real problem is not enuff govt help. the real problem is Bad Govt.

  • The guy that uploaded this video is a fucking moron.

  • If you watch the Cafferty File section...Comments by "J.S. from North Carolina" ironically demonstrated the exact reason why socialized medicine is a bad idea. She live in the UK and she has "free" health care because he is an American Citizen paying nothing into the system. The questions, do the doctor and nurse that helped him worked for free as well? NO! It's free because cost was covered by the taxes people give. Basically JS just took advantage of people who pay taxes in the UK.

  • "When we have removed 47 million uninsured Americans out of the line why would not the waiting line be shorter?"

Truth is, socialized medicine increase wait time because when people perceive health care to be 'free', they tend to take advantage of it. You have people who don't really need medical care going in to see the doctor for every little cough. The average wait time in an emergency room in Canada is 4 hrs. I've waited more than that before...

  • Ron Paul, dead right!

  • You don't understand WHY health care is so expensive in the first place.

    It's because of government regulations.

You can't ignore the facts. Delete this silly video.

  • Well think about this. Government doesn't really seem to do much of anything right and now you want them to control your healthcare?? Your going to have some politician or establishment czar decide what kind of treatments you can or cannot have?? Next thing you know it's manditory vaccination. You get tested for something only when they say you can. You get only the medication they will allow for your certain illness. U think healthcare is bad now just wait and see.

  • I'm not for them "controlling" healthcare, but people who can't afford health insurance should get help from the government. It's called "compassion." I'm totally against rationing, which is a problem with Obamacare. I don't support Ron Paul's silly solution, thouygh.

  • @Edgehead10075 I agree to a point. What I'm trying to say is that government intervention in the healthcare industry is 1 of the leading reasons why the poor cannot afford health care in the first place. Insurance companies surely play a role in this but programs like medicaid are what causes prices to spiral out of control. Just look at college tuition. Allowing a more free market solution to healthcare would help the poor more than any goverment program. I agree with the intention.

  • Well here (Finland) medical care is basicaly "free" but if you want care from the private sector you can also pay.

heh also if you unemployed you get dental coverage from the gov :)

  • Why doesn't the government cover private physicians?

  • @Edgehead10075 why should it?

  • Why should it not? "Single-payer," if implemented in America, would cover doctors working in government hospitals as well as private practice physicians. Your system would basically discourage doctors from working privately.

  • @Edgehead10075 well the private sector is smaller ofcourse but on the otherhand their pay is bigger.

  • Even if their pay is bigger, I'm sure that the government payout would be the same as it is for public healthcare. The rest of the funding would have to come out-of-pocket or from secondary insurance.

  • @Edgehead10075 yeah, well i'm not entirely sure how private physicians operate here.

  • you said 47 Million Americans are kicked out. that still leaves over 250 million. In Canada the population is 30 million. And the lines are terrible(ive waited over 10 hrs once...)

  • your a fuckin idiot..........my father pays over 110,000 a year in mal practice insurance, and the reason its cheaper in other countries for many reasons is just becasue of that! fuckin Dumb ass this bill will increase taxes and kill jobs our country is bankrupt....leave iraq...leave afganistan....stop spending...cut goverment !

  • Socialized medicine costs is zero? HA!

Remember, theres no such thing as a free lunch.

  • Pffft, your argument is terrible. He said people come over from Canda. your counter argument is people go elsewhere... Not go to Canada.

  • Totally, but Ron Paul's comment about Canadians is flawed as well. You can't prove that the Canadians using our system are wealthy or not. More than likely, they are and that makes sense for them to shop around.

They also used to buy appliances from the US and ship them back to Canada. My mom worked at Sears when I was growing up and always complained about their black socks and sandals.

  • @timpedersen Actually, Canadians are able to come to US for medicate care because of a very popular insurance product called "Critical Illness" which pays the insured a good sum of money if a particular condition is diagnosed. I used to sell these policies like hot cakes and one of the BIGGEST selling point?

"Get the money, and get health care in the states..." ^^

  • What an absolutely compelling argument! *sarcasm*

29% would go abroad? Yeah, 50% of the population is below average intelligence! Let's all listen to the lowest common denominator!

  • I am a physician. The assertion of this video completely ignores the issue of WHY DOES HEALTHCARE COST SO MUCH??? The cost of Government is the reason for inflation in the entire economy, including healthcare. The solution is NOT to increase government spending and control in healthcare. There is no such thing as "FREE" healthcare. The cost is hidden somewhere, and you just can't just ignore that fact.

  • Yeah, I'd love to go to a country where the water isn't even safe to drink to get medical treatment .

  • It's not that the water isn't safe to drink in Mexico, it'll just give you the shits until your body gets used to the crazy new bacteria.

By then your facial reconstruction will be healed and you can return to the US and reap the rewards of your post-mortem record career, bank bailout cash and/or all night ragers at bohemian grove.

  • Nationalized heath care brings us one step closer to communism.

  • Nationalized heath care brings us one step closer to communism.

Every single developed nation in the world which by the way all have national health care system have become Communist nations. Dumb fuck

  • you need treatment......

  • @HerbertHoover2009 You're really cool breh

  • @HerbertHoover2009

    Switzerland don't have "one payer"

  • Why did you name yourself after a failed President who raised tariffs during a depression?

  • @HerbertHoover2009

I still witnessed the Soviet Union and today European Union is just a modern version of the first - with all it regulations and nonsense. Socialisation of healthcare is only one step of many that it take till you awake in communism/fascism - one form of socialism in short. If you wish to travel on Bismarck's road be free to be foolish.

And to be served quickly in Canada's free healtcare - pay cash and you recive a prime service.

  • Ok, so you basically repeat exactly what I just commented, and then you call me a dumb fuck. You are an absolute moron. Good luck with that.

  • and just for the record I am absolutely confused by your idiocy. Look what I wrote then look at what you wrote. How do you justify this AT ALL!?!?!

  • @nwofailure This stupid fuck Ronnie the Senile moron is a joke! Government can't run anything but what Ronnie the Senile idiot fails to remind you paulbots of is that he himself is on GOVERNMENT Run Health Care provided to him through Congress! HA HA! What a Senile old Fuck! Hey Ronnie, how do you explain the fact that People file for bankruptcy because of medical bills while people who go to county hospitals accumulate 0 debt? This senile idiot is a fucking joke! " HA HA HA HA

  • Actually Ron Paul has refused his healthcare benefit and salary.

  • @Edgehead10075 Proof?

  • I can't find it at the moment, but that's not the point. I actually agree with your position, and I believe that Ron Paul is totally wrong on healthcare, regardless of whether or not Paul receives government-funded healthcare.

  • @nwofailure You Sir, are an idiot.

  • @nwofailure Learn what communism is before you comment dumbass Public health care does not equate to an authoritarian communist style government

  • all I know Is I dont want the government running the healthcare system. theyve proven to be very inefficient at helping anyone but themselves. Anyone remember Hurricane Katrina???

  • Have you been to the DMV lately? Because that's how health care is going to be with government intervention. Long lines, slow service, and it's not going to be cheap either.

  • Is a VA hospital like the DMV as you describe it? do you think that Congressmen and Senators wait at DMV style health clinics?

going from absolutely nothing to waiting in a room for treatment sounds like a step up to me.

  • You should be blaming the government for the "absolute nothing" option. It was they and their intervention in this market that made the costs so high, only insurance could pay for it.

People have a right to be able buy whatever level of serice they can afford, to deny them that right goes against the constitution.

  • Know anyone that's flown on a plane lately? Its one of the SAFEST ways to travel and its REGULATED STRICTLY BY THE GOVERNMENT. Oh wait...they cant do anything.

  • If universal health care is so bad, Ron Paul what health insurance company are you with? Oh I forgot it is the governments.

  • Doesn't mean he can't try to change it. Its lke people that say "You hate the government welfare system so much, why do you cash your SSI check."

They've already stolen your money, this is the only way to get some of it back. Doesn't mean you agree with the original theft.

  • Americans are retarded.

We are all laughing at your pathetic health-care system.

  • We're not all retarded, it is just that we have some greedy retarded people in America who love the health insurance companies.

  • We hate insurance company beurocracy but not as much as government beurocracy. Besides, it was earlier government interventions that put insurance companies in the drivers seat.

  • Jerry Agar, a canadian immigrant, was the afternoon drive host at WPTF in Raleigh. He moved on in 2005 and ended up on wls and wabc. so he's a fairly significant media figure,

His Dad actually died while awaiting Canadian governmental approval of a simple surgery that would have saved his life,

Barack and Co have admitted that one of their plans to save money would be to reduce care to the elderly, the ones who have supported the system and need care the most.

    YOU are DEAD WRONG !!!!!

  • Ron Paul: "We should remember that HMOs did not arise because of free-market demand, but rather because of government mandates. The HMO Act of 1973 requires all but the smallest employers to offer their employees HMO coverage, and the tax code allows businesses but not individuals to deduct the cost of health insurance premiums. The result is the illogical coupling of employment and health insurance, which often leaves the unemployed without needed catastrophic coverage. "

  • Ron Paul: "While many in Congress are happy to criticize HMOs today, the public never hears how the present system was imposed upon the American people by federal law. As usual, government intervention in the private market failed to deliver the promised benefits and caused unintended consequences, but Congress never blames itself for the problems created by bad laws."

  • Ron Paul: " Instead, we are told more government in the form of universal coverage is the answer. But government already is involved in roughly two-thirds of all health care spending, through Medicare, Medicaid, and other programs."

  • Whoever posted this is a fucking moron. First of all reading emails is not a fucking in depth report or understanding of the systemic problems facing healthcare in the states. Second none of that health care was free you stupid shit! The working taxpayers of the nations paid for it. God liberals are so fucking dumb. 3rd! I don't care what scenario you draw up it is a violation of your basic human rights to have your private property taken from you at gun point. But u realize it won't be you.

  • Who would trust the opinion of someone posting under the alias "Herbert Hoover"?

  • Most of the uninsured are young or between jobs. The rest would most likely qualify for medicare/medicaid. They just don't apply.

The problem with health care isn't insurance. It pricing. Go see what Dr. Rand Paul (Dr. Ron Paul's son) has to say about prices in medicine.

  • Socialized health care isn't "free." You're paying a lot of your tax dollars FOR the government-run and funded hospitals, whether you choose to or not.

  • Once the government is in charge of your healthcare, they will require you to exercise, forbid you to smoke or drink, forbid you to eat fast food, and dictate to you what foods and behaviors are acceptable. Enjoy!

  • The problem are these philosophical extremes.

All anyone of any belief system or "party" has to do is follow our national contract which is the constitution & bill of rights.

I can't stand the perversely intrusive ignoring the boundaries of church & state, equally, the gov't intruding so insultingly on our health decisions.

Separate is the usury cost of healthcare & the inside-out FDA & drug co double/triple costs.

They are both outrageous violations of our freedoms. HOW DARE THEY.

  • Where I disagree w/Paul is that I believe a civilized society should protect their weak, jobless (especially in times like these when our jobs & treasure have been stolen from all of us) & disabled.

Out of basic kindness & decency We all have times of trouble & health crisis can be exceedingly difficult to get back up from w/o time & assistance.

I would gladly pay taxes for this instead of WAR & ELECTIONS

Any society that ignores such human needs is a cynical one I don't wish to live in.

  • The more the goverment helps people, the more they expect to be helped. The US now expects the goverment to do everything for us, to run healthcare, auto companies, insurance, banking. I mean, where does it end. The government needs to stop babysiting people and let them help eachother out in times of need.

  • I think the healthcare thing goes with tax dollars replenishing the people who pay them. A return on your money. Something we don't get here. Sophisticated cultures get that and it's not a one-way sucking out the back door into foreign wars & politicians openly stealing our treasure.

I know of NO ONE who supports bailing out auto, insurance cos or banks. That is a very separate WELFARE costing us trillions of dollars.

Sure, help one another, but with what economy?

  • Of course, this entire video and Cafferty and Blitzer's snide implication ignores the fact that piecemeal governmental intervention in health care causes the prices to be as high as they are in the States. The allowance of price fluctuation and competition without government interference would cause prices to go down while the quality remained the same or got better, all without bankrupting our nation further and taxing us all to death.

  • Corruption is so systemic all 3 gov't houses have to symbolically burn down.

Especially & including the supreme court.

We have to burn them down by hitting "ignore" "delete" and living our lives the way we damn please according to the consitution.

There are too few voices left, they are too far gone to be salvageable.

Obama just handed over more sweeping powers to the Fed Reserve.

The time HAS ARRIVED for non-compliant revolution.

    THIS IS IT.

  • It's odd that only about 20% of the people said they would be willing to travel abroad, but all of the e-mails that he chose to read were in favor of traveling abroad for medical care. It seems like most reporters would show the e-mails of people with both points of view, instead of just one.

  • So how would government health care be better than what we have? All these examples of "it cost nothing." or "zero" are misleading. There was cost (great cost) just not to the one receiving the payment. Which means someone else paid for it. Someone who did not receive the medical treatment, which is theft. Taking from one, and giving to another. It's Robin Hood, and he was a crook too.

  • a vacation that makes you feal better, sounds good

  • it cost someone its never zero

  • That's not proof of anything stupid. You can't make your case off of a youtube video? lol!

  • The American government doesn't believe in HEALTHCARE, it believes in WEALTHCARE!

As only the rich will be able to afford it!

The US has just come out of the BUSHIT era, now they've 'changed' (a ha ha ha) to the NOBAMA era; methinks ROCK BOTTOM shall be upon this planet very very soon.

    World War 3 anyone?

  • i was going to argue but then i saw the sn herberg hoover so why bother! lol

  • Good, you stay shut up and just listen to us.

  • Ok, I'll we'll listen to a guy on CNN reading from a teleprompter and comments from people who can't understand how their dental work cost 1/5 of what it costs here. It's all agenda, it's all hype. I love my insurance and it will absolutely be dissolved once these Statists get their way. BTW, why don't we ever hear about the age groups of people who claim to have no insurance?

  • Just because your HMO bureaucrats has been able to clamp you down and enslave you doesnt mean everyone else has to willing be enslaved to HMO bureaucrats.

By the way wait till you get a serious disease or a medical condition to see how HMO bureaucrats will drop from their rolls and leave you twisting in the wind to save some bucks for their HMO.

  • Brother. Brother. HMO are government regulated. A TOTAL failure. Now you want the government the FIX in the problem THEY CREATED by taking the WHOLE system over????

The US constitution was designed to RESTRICT the power of government for A REASON!!

We have not been following the constitution for the last 50 years!!!!!!!

RON PAUL IS DEAD RIGHT!! RIGHT!! RIGHT!!

  • The Democrats created the HMO's.

  • Why must healthcare be nationalized with single-payer? I disagree with some parts of Obamacare, but I like the idea of the government helping out those who can't afford health insurance while keeping the private insurance companies in business and letting them compete. People who like their private coverage shouldn't have to give it up for a single-payer system.

  • lol sheeps.

Obama nationalizing healthcare is like giving a candy wrapper to a kid without the candy...

People already have a hard enough time finding Primary Care Physicians to the point that they have to travel cities over... imagine if EVERYONE and their mom automaically had health insurance? there would be no health care physicians avalible; people would have to travel counties or states over to find a PCP.

    Say no to Obaummunism.

graze well my woolly brothars... graze well.

  • also if/when we get this government health care the government will be able to exclude anything they want!

  • A free market knows way more than central planners.

  • As a Med.Prof., I can say that insurances are to blame for high cost, doctors are to blame, and patients are to blame, but NOTHING worsens the cost of care more than Medicare/Medicaid.Medicare"sets the bar"for the costs of care, but they themselves only pay a fraction.Meanwhile,Medicaid doesn't even cover the costs of services.Get to know your (private)doctor and pay cash. You'll see your prices drop as you patron the same doctor.Oh...and stop thinking you should sue if something's missed.Ask to fix.

  • No one is entitled to FREE healthcare...NO ONE! Work save your money and pay for it yourself...maybe that would keep people from stuffing their faces with McSausageBiscuits.

  • ya it costs people nothing because they aren't citizens of those countries.

RON PAUL IS RIGHT ON HEALTH CARE!

  • wait til the gov takes over health care.....it will be great. heh heh heh

  • Huge Ron Paul supporter but I've never agreed with his health care policy of an unrestricted market. I'm a Canadian. Our system is messed right now because of the meddlesome insurance companies and big pharma. Both from the US, they bribe politicians and policy makers and are ruining our system up here, which actually does work if people don't screw with it. Americans deserve health care but it won't happen till you ditch the hmo's and middlemen. Nothing but moneysucking ghouls.

  • RPs point was since government in the business these have evolved many elder americans are able to remember affordable healthcare before HMOS & and the new system in place. Note Canadas healthcare is paid by it citizen & economy, while foreign demand is the only thing that allows your economy to be 7th or 8th mayb 6th in the world, unlikely but if that went away domestically you cant pick up the slack. unlikely as I said. Canada resourced commodities producer will do good...

  • Are you say America has always had HMOs? If we both agree their system is flawed; but do you assume america has never had good healthcare? Many elderly remember as I have read if you do your reasearch, when healthcare was out of pocket, your source of income was never asked, churches had their own hospices which since late 60's early 70 have vanished since government, HMOS & conglomerates were not in existence before this, government. a church cannot deal with govt reg, costs like an HMO can.

  • Did*, strike:Are

  • HMO have profited hugely because no one can compete. small practices use to dominate like their use to be a 1000 individual automakers.

  • quite misleading and bad edit.

  • Ron Paul Right ON Healthcare.

  • Yes, letting people die for lack of health insurance is "right" on healthcare.

  • This is one of the few things I disagree with Ron on. The main problem is that pharmaceutical companies are out of control. And health care is one of the few things that require heavy price regulation. It should be cheap, and our military should be, too.

  • Nice clip cutting-you malign an honest statesman very well and support what is probably a Moore inspired necessity. I watched SicKO, and was able to see the dangers of health care consortiums protected (and ENCOURAGED) by the government. Did you see that, or just only another (taxpayer funded) service provided by an ineffective, overpaid, corrupt organization? The development of HMOs with the help of the Nixon admin

  • I have a solution. Government should tax those who do not have health care, and set aside the taxed money for them when they go abroad for health care. Actually government should tax them a little bit more than it costs to send them abroad in order to pay the salaries of the employees who take care of this taxation, and arrange or their travel abroad.

  • and also the argument that the US has the best state of the art health equipment, is a flawed argument.. because it doesn't matter if you dont have access to it.. You could say the US has the best space program too.. it doesnt mean that you are going to be hopping on a space shuittle anytime soon..

  • no proof that single payer has ever been benificial...WOW that is a pretty broad and wrong statment..Ron why is our health system being used by canadians instead of americans? but lets see americans go over there and use their system.. lets see how well that would work out..

  • This video is a joke. If you listen to what ron paul had to say fully, you would not have made this video.

Mr. Paul's main point is that U.S Government has been involved in the medical business for over 25 years, having a direct influence on the ridiculous price of both medical care and insurance within the United States. If they stopped interfering and let the market forces determine the price of medical care, the problems would be fixed a lot more easily than having nationalised medicine
