When it comes to companions (of David Tennant, because he's, in my opinion, the best Doctor) I love the quiet romance between the Doctor and Rose. "Tell Rose...tell her...oh she knows.." My heart broke when they were separated. Then Martha comes along and to make up for the loss of romance, she's absolutely BRILLIANT. A friend who's selfless and badass all at once. Then there's Donna, who I like, but sometimes gets on my nerves with her shallowness. But she's a great friend.

it feels so good to find people who loves Martha in the same way that I do. I mean, I can't understand why a lot of Whovians doesn't like her, she was an amazing companion, she traveled around the world trying to give a message to save all the people and to save the Doctor, she's is brave, she's the cleverest companion, and she's one of my favorites.

I don't understand why people say Martha was a bad companion. why? Because she was almost as good the Doctor? Because she was clever and always figured out ways to get out of bad situations? Because she was strong and selfless? Because she saved the world on her own? Because she left the Doctor after realizing staying with him wasn't good for her anymore? She was the best companion Ten had in my opinion.

Martha is the personification of courage.

"The moral strength to overcome difficulty, pain, or evil without fear."

She always managed to do the right thing even if it meant sacrificing her dreams and personal happiness. Her sacrificial quality is not something you can find in many people these days.

Both Martha and the Doctor himself will always wonder "What if..." in regards to the other adventures she could have had with him in the TARDIS. But even as River says, "...you can't run forever."

watched the doctor and to have someone named Martha my name as a companion is so special and to have a tough girl with everything I ever wanted to be and wish I could be is very special. I may not be dark and dont look like her at all, but just the name of Martha as a tough companion not a cow or a chicken is great. Us Martha's are special, wish the world could see it. Thanks to the writers of doctor who.

Martha was fantastic because out of all the NuWho companions, she's the only one to date who has never really needed the Doctor. She's plenty strong and smart enough to stand on her own.

Martha was such a loyal companion, but she wasn't clingy like Rose was. Donna was a bit too distant, so Martha is my favourite companion. I find it annoying how the Doctor doesn't see Martha like she sees him even after everything that's happened. If the Doctor didn't love Rose, I reckon he would've loved Martha more than he loved Rose

I can't decide whether I like Rose or Martha better; they each have their good qualities. But I feel bad for Martha that the Doctor was so hung up on Rose he couldn't see what was right in front of him.

i did love all the doctor's companions but martha was by far the best. rose was always the damsel in distress and there was always the loving emotion between them both but that was it, donna was hilarious and a good friend to the doctor but martha, she was amazing, she was never afraid to disagree with the doctor and argue with him, and she went with him even when she knew he didn't love her like she did to him. and martha was the smartest, she left the doctor, all the others had no choice.

Donna went back to being superficial (which is sad but she didnt have to live with that knowledge)

But Martha left the man she loved because he didnt love her back and she had to live with that.

Also, I like Martha because she cares about her family as much as she cares about the Doctor. Rose and Donna normally put the Doctor first.

I read recently that Martha has got a new part as a prosecutor in the new British Law and Order. I read the BBC was not pleased because ITV is their rival and they dumped Freema from Torchwood. Somehow I felt that the BBC were not treating Freema very well. Torchwood is going to air only 5 episodes anyway and Freema will be acting in at least 12 for Law and Order. I bet she's being paid better too. I'm proud her and it's Doctor Who's and Torchwood's loss.

This is excellent. It took me a while to warm up to Martha (I was determined to be loyal to Rose's memory) but she is just too great to ignore. And in the end, I realized I relate more to Martha than I do to Rose. Weird.
