Evolution is a very intelligent design, indeed it's the only sensible design, given the relative scale and complexity of the project. False dichotomy?
If I.D. were true, wouldn't it be along the lines of extremely simple building blocks and the application of a (relatively) massive amount of energy to get the ball rolling, (and god knows what else) as opposed to a workshop scenario? Call it a religion if you wish, but you're wrong when you say it's an exclusively X-tian idea. I'm sure all indigenous people everywhere believe strongly in I.D.
Evolutionists: is it wrong to kill people? Is it wrong to kill animals? If we evolved, then isn't whatever property that makes humans sacred (not holy, i just mean violence is frowned upon) is present in every organism that preceded us? Or is consciousness a random mutation?
does evolution imply that the brain an the mind are a single entity?
I built an igloo out of snow. I didnt design it, just piled up the snow an dug it out, an then I made another section, and took part of it down, an so on. I never really designed it, i just did what seemed right. Is it conceivable that we are not random, but are not actively constructed by a single entity?
Had someone complete knowledge of a topic then they would be able to design and build something on there own if they had enough time and will to do so. So yes a single super designer could have done it.
How do we know that God is so powerful? It says so in the Bible and people believe it.
How can we know the Bible is correct on the subject?
So what, you want an identification of the intelligent designer? Can it be tested which one did what? Can't it just be possible an intelligent designer made something, without needing to know which one? What is the purpose of that question? If it is concluded by someone they think ID, you say what's the name and number please?
Each of the designers is complex and must have been designed by a team of super designers. Each of the super designers must have been designed by a team of super duper designers...
So to get finite life on earth we need an infinite number of intelligent designers!
bingo, the ID (creationist) idea is completely backwards...you take a hugely complex universe and say that something created it...well then that creator has to be more complex than the universe itself, and then the creator of that creator has to be even more complex...it's ridiculous...
I like this. I disagree with one thing, though. In Muslim countries, the ones where they're more or less run by extremists, they think that evolution is a Christian scam to pull them away from Islam. Creationism in the advanced world is a Christian political thing, though.

(i mean traditionalist indigenous people)...as well as some alienated, deracinated exogenous peoples who've lost their faith in materialism

you're reference is (a) humanoid designer(s). Why?
Why would it be? That's just nuts.
People as we know them working in their cubicles, etc, etc... punching their timecards, taking bathroom breaks?

(YOUR reference! I really don't have the knowledge to debate the subject, but when I.D. is dismissed in such a weak way it's so tempting...
'The universe is not only stranger than we suppose, it's stranger than we CAN suppose'

God said it is correct.... in the Bible.

fuck id. plain and simple. they are the 'science' of the gaps. it is not relevant, and they should be ridiculed and mocked.

Nice argument!
Now let's take it further:
Each of the designers is complex and must have been designed by a team of super designers. Each of the super designers must have been designed by a team of super duper designers...
So to get finite life on earth we need an infinite number of intelligent designers!
So much for a theory of the ORIGIN of species
