they really should have a video in the visitor's center that others can "record". I had a digital camera and would have loved a few seconds of pics/videos of this event. I was good and didn't take any. This is someone else's home and they made it clear they didn't want and pics.
Happens all the time, I got so angry that I grabbed a camera out of a womans hand. To be honest I'm not very proud of that but why do so many people only think about themself even if nature is concerned and they tell you so explicitly?!
@paularps in what way is nature being harmed by someone taking this video? I'd say putting up the seats, the floodlights, the buildings & the carparks were far more harmful to the penguins than taking non-flash photos/videos is. They tell you so explicitly because they're selling photos and video of it and want to force you into buying them instead. I'm sure the money goes back to the facilities but not a good way to go about getting it.
This film clip was taken by using night view mode camera, so it means there was no flashing or any extra light resource had been used. It won't hurt any penguins at all!
I am amazed the warden didn't slap them for this. The joy is seeing the penguins, not filming the poor sensitive souls. I am with annesootybob on this one!
the way they waddle is so cute x3
