I'm curious what this song's about. At first I thought it could be about a suicide over a break up. Such as a guy who was so depressed over breaking up decided to give a day's notice before getting behind the wheel and taking his life.

But then I thought, maybe it's about a guy who loses his wife/gf in a car crash? Hence time stood still ever since, he's taking things a day at a time, still sees her reflection. Perhapse the broken clock also represents the spedometor?

@U2fan24 - this song is about a close friend of Jason's who was hospitalized & dying. I saw LH in PHX years ago before this song was out to the masses. He shared the story with the audience before playing it. I suppose one could definitely relate it to broken relationships though - I guess that's the point of music, right? Anyway, I remember this song & the story behind it vividly. Jason said it was a kidney transplant I think, and he felt broken/helpless. Half the audience was in tears...

the look of going to cry i think is because when he sings this song he thinks of why he wrote it. and from what i've heard on here before, he wrote this song for his friend at like 3am one night, who was waiting on a kidney or liver transplant.
