i have the 89 voyager turdo 5 speed, i put an intercooler-3 inch exhaust and all the gauges with a manual boost controller - that little van flat out screams !!!!!

Dude, I know you can do this to these engines, but what you said you bored it to a 2.5l, the 2.5s had a longer stroke, not a bigger bore, & besides why would you do that, the factory turbo cars came with a 2.2 because the 2.5(with it's longer stroke)woudn't hold up to high rpms

Boost was controlled by the computer from '86 on all 5 configs I beleive. I know its mecanically limited in '84 not sure on 85's. Its simple to manually control boost on these engines if your carefull you can go up to about 14lbs. on a healthy stock motor.
