I really, really love Margaret Tudor and especially Mary Rose Tudor. Tudor history is hogged up by Henry VIII and Elizabeth I, but these two women were stunning in their beauty during their youth and were unconventional. They defied the laws of state due to their positions as princesses and queens, and married for love regardless if their brother approved or not. New novels or biographies on them are long overdue!

I heard that too. The author also gave Katherine black hair and a thick Spanish accent, lol. The best novels on Henry VIII's sisters are still Jean Plaidy's "The Thistle & The Rose" (Margaret) and "Mary, Queen of France" (Mary). They were good reads.

I have to point out that I love the Tudors show before I say this; Henry had two sisters, the real Princess Margaret married King James of Scotland, and his other sister, the younger one they reference in the show, is Princess Mary. She married the elderly king of France, and then married the Duke of Norfolk right afterwords.

Its wierd that the wrighters combines both mary and margret into one person....by calling he carracter margret they totally fecked up the historical facts.....it would have been more accurate if they named her Mary...but it was too much hastle having 2 princess mary's(henrys daughter)Shame....

no her name was mary tufor but they used her sisters name margaret instead so american audiences wouldnt get confused with mary boleyn an Henry's daughter mary. Mary tudor mariied the old king of france then charles brandon. Margaret tudor was sent off to marry the king of scotland before Henry came to the throne
