  • go on massive black.com their team is working on concept art they have a page full of art and characters

  • lol it is a prequel.. sry mate

  • I love the piano version of wan chai.......NICE :D

  • I don't understand why the maker of this video detests a prequel. I think it'd be a fantastic idea. The racism, the riots, the beginning of a new mechanical era, I would love to be part of that in the game :D

  • Thanks

  • 1:50

    It is a prequel.

    check the wiki/ xbox mags.

  • I loved the games can't wait for the third

  • 5/5 i love your analasys(?).

  • any longplay of that music?

  • i liked how you went back to unatco in invisible war, i thought that was cool

  • Im really looking forward to this

The lab kindof reminds me of the Versalife building in hong kong(?)

    I like what i see:D

(kind of ghost in the shellish)

  • deus ex was the best game i ever played hands down i got so drawn into cant i cant count how many times iv completed it, the graphics, dull cities sewers the lot, doubt they will ever be another like this cos deus ex 2 bored me.

  • What I hate about IW and DX3 concept arts is they are too futuristic. DX1 was based on present day fashion, art and architecture, DX2 jumped 200 years to the future. DX3 seems to continue this trend. I hope they know what they are doing.

  • so awkward

  • Somehow I miss the old graphics, lol. I can't stand the idea of a prequel either. A Deus Ex part without the Dentons would immediately become as bad as IW.

  • September 2010 is ETA for DX3.

  • some1 that no know the exact date when it will be come out??

  • at 1:44 i don't think it's a poke ball i think it is echelon's eye

  • I will be happy as long as it's very similar to the original and NOT Invisible War.

DX is one of my favorite games of all time, without a doubt. Just take what the original did and exrapolate on it. Give us many, many choices when it comes to our character and the plot and we'll all be happy I think.

  • i swear to god if they make this game another halo clone or fuck it up like bethesda did obliv......err... fallout 3 im gonna blow my damn brains out! why don't developers take a page from the original deus ex that game is legendary

  • I'm guessing the technology will be more advanced in Deus Ex 3 because the tuberculosis and spanish flu pandemic, the California Earthquake and Grey Death haven't happened yet.

  • I would be excited, if not for the fact that it's probably going do the same thing they did to Fallout 3: Casualize it by making it your generic, zero effort, FPS.

  • question: Is deus ex 3 coming in 2009 or 1010? and is it coming or comming?

  • 2009.

  • Wrong. It's estimated to be released September 2010.

  • @GlobalNode guess you were wrong :)

  • @GlobalNode Apparently not.

  • Cool, but I'll sort of miss the cheesy graphics of the origional. Note that I excluded the sequel in the previous sentence.

  • i hope this game is coming

  • Sorry that the following is a tad off topic. Does anyone have advice for using mods on Deus Ex that is running off of steam? Along with a mod that allows you to play a series of missions as a mech? I am interested on seeing how it is to be one in the original game. ^_^

  • Sleeves hanging? I'd rather think biotic arms?

  • Unless they flatout retcon Deus Ex 2 it will be a prequal.

  • dude its clearly gona be a prequal, its a mech-augmented fetus in the trailer, and on the forum's other images you can see are mech aug's, I belive a prequal is the right move for dx3 though, close time progimity to pressent and the use of mech augs - technoligy almost achivable at pressent adds to the belivability of the plot, which was what dx1 was all about, and dx2 was just lame at.

  • great job , :) DX forever !!

  • It may be what hapend if you did one of the other 2 endings thst idnt hapen in DX:IW

  • Perhaps this will be an alternate timeline to IW? Let's start with the first game, 2052. Then we have the Collapse. Then we have IW, 2072. And in an alternate timeline we have DX3, 2062. So the first ten years of post-Collapse history still apply, but at the point of DX3, the timeline branches off and so IW never occurs in the DX3 timeline. I said 2062 to continue the trend and also because it's halfway between 2052 and 2072, and this concept art seems to be pointing to a stylistic midpoint.

  • Music is definetly from Hong Kong. Where did u get it, in DX it`s not played by piano. I am almost certain it`s no tracer Tong lab, but more like a Versalife version of the future. For sure there`s bioengineering undergoing here, but not for transgenings, for humans I think. The symbol is definetly not an iluminaty symbol(no triangle),more likely it`s the equivalent of MJ12, abother secret organisation reaching for global domination.

It`s going to be great.Hope I don`t get my hopes too high :)

  • Sivak Drac - Hong Kong Sonata

  • Who made these concept art pictures, and also where did you get them?

  • I agree,the music is excellent

  • Excellent version of the Main Theme. Who recorded it?

  • Someone named Sivak Drac. Look up his soundclick page on google. I am prohibited from posting links.

  • I think this is the Hong Kong Market theme.

First is the conersation order, then ambient.

    Jeez, it's beutiful, eh?

  • Wait, stay with me here, what if this sequel is set if JC Denton, joined the illuminati, because that ending wasn't taken in I:W thus keeping the setting, keeping the time period, and keeping to the story, it wouldn't be a prequel because, it would just be a alternate timeline.

  • I think that would actually be pretty cool.

  • in any case this lab is very evolved to be a prequel

  • Look at the desks and architecture. Far more advanced-looking than the original Deus Ex. If it isn't a sequel, than they are going for what Star Wars did, everything is far more advanced in the past, which will suck. Any prequel will suck.

  • No, he wrote the songs and then performed them. At least, thats what I heard.

  • Man, you're great at depicting all of these tiny glimpses of deus ex 3. Keep up the good work!

  • I plan to.

  • also, where did u get this music, i hav downloaded from various places (legal of course), but none of them are amazing...

  • PM me with the name of the track you want.

  • I heard somewhere that this is likely 2 b a prequel, 2 was after 1 and this may b b4, explaining many unanswered question's and JC's past. This could explain the teaser, this could b an early prototype or JC's embryo. Watevr it is its' clearly man-made.

Ty for puttin this on here, i need that pic!

The graphics hav increased, like in 2, but lets hope, unlike 2 the physics and movement and ammo and loads more don't get WORSE... 2 was a disappointment, but its' still DX!!!

  • PM me.

  • omg this is sooo gd, where dis u get the pix.

  • Since Eidos are using a different engine from DX1+2 I think there is a chance of them failing, but I am being optimistic and hoping the do the best they can to get a succesfull game.

And the biggest thing i hope for, since I am a DXMP player/fan, would be DXMP in the game. I beg you Eidos, please have DXMP! :)

  • Such detail in analysis :P

I cant wait for DX3, but then again Fallout3 is coming this year :D

I can appreciate DX:IW for the story but bugs, glitches really took away from the experience. Really hope Edios can get it together and NOT stuff this one up and none of this "ship it, then on release day, work on first patch" (Bioshock comes too mind) no no no, a patch after 1 or 2 months I can accept. Obviously the DX franchise, after about 7 years and still generate interest theyd be crazy to F-up

  • Its probably a cybernetic limb fabrication plant.

  • Define "IW Flaming Barrels" please.

  • The IWar barrels that were flammable. Had to abbreviate it.

  • I got THAT, I just don't remember flaming barrels. Unless you're talking about trash cans that the omar like to stand around in Cairo

  • I abbreviated it so much I took it out of context.

  • No problem! The fact that we're discussing flaming and fire are enough. Pleasant, roasted, DX and IW memories:

1)The flaming kitty plummeting from the roof down the elevator shaft in the first Paris mission.

2)Return to the NSF Warehouse; why wait until sending the signal? Suprise turns to astonishment and fear as your fellow UNATCO employees go up in flames! Bonus: Simons is extra-pissy with you for taking out his troops beforehand!

    3) Escape from UNATCO: Mmm...roasted doberman!

  • 4)Making friends with the locals:

I'm sorry, I thought you said your name was 'Louis FRYING Pan'! He-Heeee!!!

    5) Mass Cookout: Leaving Hells Kitchen after our first meeting with Dowd. MJ12 brings the numbers, but JC brings the pain!

    6) The All-Time Masterpiece:

Pants-pissing hilarity? Flaming greasel be thy name! Delicious as a single serving; scrumptious in packs!

  • -> GlobalNode, lightbringerrr: 7) Maggie Chow on fire. 8) Maggie Chow breaking her glass window and falling all the way from her sky-high apartment to the ground below. 9) And living. 10) Why are we being so specific? The flamethrower doesn't get old! (You can't really use it on bots, though. Oh, well.)

  • Ahh yes; on to bots!!!

Q: Is there anything greater than demolishing one of those annoying little vacuum cleaners with guns at an extra-long distance with a bot-seeking RPG? A:

No. UNLESSSSSS...you count firing endless rounds of RPG goodness at Gunther from a distance while sneakily heading to the chopper on your way out of the airfield!

There's another thing where you can spawn endless characters while floating in the air and dropping them on Jock's chopper blades...good times!

  • More Fuzzy Memories: The Paris Nightlife:

Like you, I have NO time for snooty french doormen or bouncers. To avoid one of THE MOST excruciatingly boring conversations in all of gaming history, I recommend 'RPG to the booth'. This establishes right off the bat that you will be taking NO SHIT from these people whatsoever. Step 2:

Cruise on inside and switch to the flamethrower. "Burning Cage Dancer" is a sheer delight, and brings true relevance to the phrase "panic at the disco". He-Hee!!!

  • -> lightbringerrr: Or, if you have a mouse with a wheel, you should be able to just whirl the wheel (it works for me) to speed right through the conversation (except at "choice junctures", where you still have to click what you want to do).

  • Just carry a corpse in with you and he'll run away and open the door for you lol

  • ...what?

  • First, I completely hate you for your DX3 t-shirt. Unfair and unacceptable. Now I have to stage a Canadian guerilla raid to rectify this situation. I'm a busy man, damnit! Second, you've been mislead. The image at 1:40 is clearly the seal of my old friends and allies: The Confederacy Of Independent Systems. That is all.

  • there's a Deus Ex 3 coming out? :o I hope it's atleast almost as good as the first one. The first Deus Ex was one of the best games ever created

  • Hey! on 2:30 of this video i think thats a denton thingy that was in DX1 in page or area 51 or something. the thing where dentons were produced. and Alex was in it. i think ther's a shadow too! hope someone understands me lol..

  • lol

  • I know this is off-topic, but that music is beautiful. Is that taken from in-game, or is it remixed? I know the Hong Kong music isn't taken directly from the game (at least, the PC game).

  • Its a piano version of Hong Kong Synapse. Performed by Sivak Drac.

  • lets hope we see this level in the actual game. it looks very interesting :]

  • Is getting the GOTY of deus ex the only way of getting the soundtrack?

  • Your crazy man, but that's cool.

  • I'm russian Deus Ex fan ^_^

  • Me too, funny, huh?

  • Lol Nice

  • I'm David Anfossi, Producer of Deus Ex 3 and I'm very impressed by the passion shown by the DX fans!!

GlobalNode I think your efforts deserve an exclusive DX3 t-shirt. Do you have a private email we could use to communicate?

  • are you really the producer? is there anything you can share with us about the game? please sir

  • Nice video.

  • Well done.

  • The holding tank at 1:18 might not be a holding tank at all, since it has a kind of robotic arm (like the one above the tank, at 0:30) that can rotate all around the tank, above it. Perhaps it is a lathe for making the mechanical parts that you show at 1:50.

Also, I would like it if the developers at least sectioned the labs, for their different projects (like the Versalife labs, in Hong Kong), rather than have all the different kinds of projects running literally on the same floor.

  • Thats a good point.

Yes, to keep it from being messy.

  • Cant wait for this game, alongside Silent Hill 5 and Gears of War 2.

  • Not bad!

  • BTW, you prefer the responses/comments here, or on the DX3 forum?

  • Here, I can get honors :D

  • I should have guessed. Clearly you were trying to make viewers look for a conspiracy, with that flashing text right after 2:32. I actually spent a few minutes timing myself, for clicking the pause button... got a laugh out of what I saw (let's not spoil the chase for the other viewers).

  • 1. It's an unintentional error.

    2. It's the same ending text.

  • Yeah, I wanted the others to spend the five minutes, as well, so I didn't mention it.

  • While I agree with you that the computer screens look too advanced for a prequel, somehow it seems to me like they are working on interfacing augs with neurons. That would explain the big blue tanks (shown at 2:14), where it seems that the devices are being put under very controlled conditions, in a fluid environment (since interactions with neurons will also have to be in a fluid environment). That would strike a cord with some current biomedical engineering research.

  • At 30 seconds: Note the robot welding arm. It reminds me of the robotic laser welding arm at Ocean Labs (DX1), where JC first commandeers a submarine. So, maybe this tank is where little spy bots are tested/repaired?

    Thanks for the analysis.

P.S. Excellent work with the music (I don't have words to say how much I liked it)! Where did you get the remixes?

  • My response was deleted because I linked you to a dx music website. I'm far too pissed to retype it right now.

  • You can PM me later, or, better yet, put up the link in the thread on the DX3 forum that you linked to this video.

  • Very detailed, thanks for the upload!

    Kaid.
