it's not about buildings specifically. that would be called architecture. In short It's about modernity. Modernity is a very complex thing to which there are whole fields of knowledge dedicated. Buildings and consumerism etc are only tiny parts of modernity as a whole.
Is it any wonder that Allen Ginsberg was so persecuted by the establishment back in the day? He died in 1997, but this man's words still ring true, today.
Moloch is a pagan God who people sacrificed their children to. The Moloch connection here is about the Bohemian Grove Woods, and this was written 54 years ago.
Well I really shouldn't say it's about Bohemian Grove Woods, that is just something that ties to this, it's probably more related to NWO or something, since the current part of the video is cut off, it's kind of hard to tell.
It has nothing to do with NWO or Bohemian Grove or any other crazy conspiracy theory of which Allen Ginsberg had no idea of it.
This is a poem where Allen is ranting about industrial society and consumerism. In this poem Moloch is the soulless monstrous machine that is society (or more specifically buildings), that consumes the free spirit and creative genes of men; which is symbolized as a child. And of course Moloch is the biblical demon that needs needs child sacrifices, thus the name.
I don't take drugs, but when I hear Ginsberg's poetry, my mind can see things like I'm wearing magic glasses.....
