@shotgunmasterQL Yep, it does, but having to concentrate on an enemy's position, due to bad lighting (such as this map) and a darker model, is a waste of what's between your ears. The brighter models makes it a lot easier to spot enemies and differentiate between enemies and allies. Picmip is just a personal preference; I've used to play Quake 3 on lower settings to keep the FPS at a steady 125 and as such I've gotten used to less detail. Then again, it's also less distracting.

actually this is why quakelive isnt brilliant in FFA mode, shotgun is just way too strong now, in many situations its stronger than rocketlauncher :P
