I love the direction that WSSU has been going over the past few years. Great show and sound yall. Clean up the drum majors and get the dancers some white gloves on the field. Other than that, I enjoyed the show.
i like that the band changed, what happend did they get a new band director? cause this is not the same band i remember a few years ago. what an upgrade!

LORD...why hasn't Scarlet Lace hired a choreographer? They are AWFUl, A MESS, the worst danceline in the MEAC by far. Do you bitches not know what technique is, lines, anybody can drop it like it's out. Why hasn't Silky Smooth been dropped? They are actually worst than Scarlet Lace, which is saying alot since Lace is really terrible!

KNOWBODY wants to be like the 101 SCS"WHO" yall sound like crap. 280 something people and its all a waste. I guess HORN holders isnt a factor in yall's band cause if it was yall would only be like 150 if that. SCSU always trys to play people like they are the best. what the hell is up with the uncoordination of the drum majors? and why arent they directing the band? they should go pik up a instrument or something since they aint doin ish!!!
I dont think we suck. if we suck we wouldnt get house from other people or even respect from other band memebers who have seen us.Yeah we are small but that is it. That isnt a excuse that is the reality of our band period. Just know good things form over time and it seems our band is!!! So forget what others say we still hold our own

yea it does look messy sumtimz cz they usually do things one after the other. but this is still one of my fav shows we do.
and for the little convo's below...of course SCSU was louder they are much bigger. I'm in wssu band and i LOVE THE BAND but i don't know if i can say we were better. but i will say that our show was much much more entertaining, and that's what half time shows are for.
we watched SCSU perform first. when they finished i was like that's it?! i was unpleasantly surprised..
Please someone explain to me, I know that SCSU has more than 300 band members and winston has 140 so how do you compare how loud each band is. I was there and is in the band. I can say SCSU did a job well done and not being bias I just can say WSSU has done better than what many are doubting.We may not be 200 band,but we have heart.We do not back down no matter the size of the band. We may not sound as great as many bands,but we are getting there!!
As an former band member from the 80's, I have to say I'm very proud of the band! I was at this particular game against SCSU, and was standing up the entire time during the performance. I think our band was WAY better than SCSU's band. Even the SOUND was the bomb, I thought they was going to blow us out, but boy was I wrong! I did notice that the Drum Major's need some practice, so that they'll all be on the same foot and beat, but overall, GOOD JOB!
I'm gonna have to disagree with you. They sounded better than what was expected, that's why you think they were better. The old school songs was a good touch, but they were NOT better. I'll admit, they sounded good, but not better. They had you up because it's old school and EVERYBODY loves old school. By the way, the Jackson 5 thing was started by SCSU years ago. I really liked the show too, but overall, although they are bigger and better this year, they aren't quite there yet.
They sounded better, because they were better! SCSU has a lot of BRASS, something that WSSU doesn't and yet despite of that they sounded better than SCSU OUT! I was out of my seat because of their percision and formation, not because of old school songs. As a 40 something person who was in the band over 25 years ago, songs don't get me out of my seat, I look for formation and percision. They hit their marks and that's something that you can't take away from them.

I've been a fan of SCSU since they played the Meadowlands Stadium in NJ against Morgan State my freshmen year in high school (1979) in the Urban League Football Series. My highschool band performed pre-game.
So I'm not here to take anything from SCSU and their performance. Any band that practices hard deserves the roar of the crowd, this time WSSU got a bigger ROAR, from me!
*Looking at both halftime clips of WSSU ans SCSU and wondering what is this poster hearing* WSSU has made improvements but to come on here to say that WSSU was better than SCSU is just laughable.
Agree w/you 100%! I don't know what happened to them, the drum majors were off beat. They need some practice! But I LOVE my RAMS and I'm hoping it was just an off day for them. But they better get it together for HOMECOMING!
