  • Draco Malfloy is that you?

  • why there isnt pull up bars in every forest?

  • and can you turn up both two wrists?

  • Best demonstration of a false grip on bar- I can only find them on rings.

  • this is a fail version of a msucle up. if you are hanging you would struggle to not break your wrists doing a pull up with them especially if you are doing weighted muscle ups. make the switch to the proper palm position for the push on the fly not beforehand otherwise you could fuck your wrists bro.

  • coooooooooooooooooooooooool man now i know . keep uploading videos like this one.

one "simple " move that "us" the biginners don´t know make the HUGE difference- and yes... it did help. thanx

    Sure you can.

  • Thanks Dude, big help, it was the grip thing that I was missing!!! Al

  • this rly helped me thx,cuz i knew i had so much strenght to do it easy but i always failed with the grip

  • in russia this is called pull up with strength, plache is 2 years training for most ppl, deltas grow slow.

  • great video! you just solved my biggest problem. THANK YOU!!

  • that's a nice place to train

  • Oh WoW! Thanks for sharing! Really great form! <3333

  • Nice man!! Now once you have it with the "False Grip" you can start without the false grip and start doing it progressively as the way you go up! I guarantee! So you can do slow muscle up for pure strength and fast muscle ups for power!! I think.... Peace!

  • badass. thanks

  • The reverse video joke as pretty funny

  • nice D&B

  • i've never seen traceurs call this a planche...in case u didn't know, planche means board in french, and when you do a real planche you're simulating a board...makes a lot more sense than planche meaning a muscle up

  • @EndeavorParkour I guess you haven't seen that many traceurs then, or maybe only american traceurs. Again: do a youtube search for "parkour planche".

Why are some people so ignorant?

  • @abcd70 I think it's silly to call someone ignorant for disagreeing with the terminology you prefer. The planche has and still does refer in gymnastics to a position similar to a push-up, but with all of the weight on your hands.

I also find that most tracuers understand a planche as I do.

Regardless of the nit-picky things. Really good video. =P

    Keep on keepin' on.

  • @abcd70 He's right though, Planche means "board" and the use in english comes from gymnastics. Saying he's wrong because parkour people use it incorrectly is asinine.

  • @abcd70 It's easy to call Americans ignorant, but unless you actually visit the place you won't realize why most speak only one language and don't travel internationally much: America's huge and travel is expensive for us. So, while I traveled over 19,000 miles to train parkour all over America last summer, and have trained for four years with hundreds of people from at least 5 different countries, I have never heard or seen a muscle-up called a "parkour planche" until just now.

  • @abcd70 Because a muscle up and planche are completely different mate.

A Planche basically resembles the top of a push up, with feet off the floor and the entire body vertical. You should probably rename the video as it's pretty misleading.

  • @EndeavorParkour Planche in french can also mean bar! And you know when David Belle created le parkour he gave all the moves names, like "Saut de chat" (Monkey vault) "Saut de bras" (Cat leap) and Planche which he called the Muscle-up/Climb-up! So the reason why some traceurs call it that is because that's what David Belle calls it! Peace! :)

  • Extremely annoying song

  • I've been doing muscle ups for sometime now and it's the best instructional video I've seen yet, keep it up

  • Ok now i am going to my garage on the pull up bar :D if this work you will be my hero xD...

  • you found a pull up bar in the middle of the forest?

  • @bb33nnii Looks like he's in Sweden and we got bars along al running trails, not that most people use them ! :P

  • @bb33nnii why do you think apes are so strong ;P

  • @bb33nnii

Those are great and I appreciate your video and for those who try this and can't do it don't get discouraged as it takes alot of hard work and practice but just don't give up on trying muscle ups. Ps. Make sure u do a few pullups before trying the muscleup/ plyo moves so u don't pull anything OUCH!

  • thank you so much for this!!! very helpful, till I saw this video I thought it requires some immense strength to do slow muscle ups but its all in technique.

  • great video, but its not a planche though. look up planche its magnitude times harder :/

  • @Sinjid142 yeah i know what you mean, in the parkour world many people call this planche though...

  • @abcd70 yep ur rite , in parkour its called planche :) i do parkour too but im a beginner

  • @abcd70 No one in parkour calls this a planche :S :S

  • @abcd70 They call it a planche because it's a french word. The English way to say it would be muscle up.

  • @abcd70 It's amazing. I searched parkour planche, as you suggested, and you are right. this is a planche in the parkour world. so before everyone complains they should spend the same 20 seconds I did. thanks for the tutorial.

  • thanks man for the detailed explanation and the angles in the video.

  • good help fam

  • excellent tutorial, very informative and to the point thanks a million, im gonna go train for this now.

  • dude thanks! i was always wondering how i could get my hand on top of the bar and this just helped me! best one ^_^ i subbed... im gonna try as soon as i can :)

  • the best tutorial in my opinion

  • honestly one of the best videos on muscle up and the video quality is sweet. thanks man

  • you do not necessarily have to use a false grip to do a slow muscle up, check out the tutorial from these guys /watch?v=scNNMbx8Dzc they do it with a normal grip

  • i swear.. even though i can barely do two chin-ups.. i will do one of these proper muscle-ups before i die!!!

  • That's the best Muscle Up Tutorial,it helped me to do them and now i am able to make 15 with no problem

  • how many pull ups do i require to do a muscle up? and i want to increase my pull ups my record is 5 but i can something like 3

  • I thought this was very helpful. Thank you!

  • u are gymnastic ? how u learn this, u are skinny.

  • Song?

  • The best location for some pull up bars.

  • is it just me or is that bar slanted?

  • Thanks for the info. I'm an expert at pull ups but haven't been able to do a muscle up. Adjusting my grip though has helped me to complete several muscle ups. Nice and simple :)

  • Thank you for the tutorial on technique.

  • 1 person(Moralezz91) don't liked this video.

  • i can do a muscle up just not with my wrist on the bar but when i do it the fail way you described its hard and i mean extremely hard but every time i try to with the wrist it hurts like hell

  • @hellzfury112 Train your wrists so you have strong wrists and forearms.

  • Very nice! You got skillz. Its easy ^^

  • song name?

  • Awesome man.

    Thanks.

  • Good! Great strength and technique.

  • ottimo! ;)

  • Thanks for posting !

  • When I do muscle ups I grip it just like a normal pull up, is that wrong? I mean I guess it's harder according to this video, but I manage to do it that way.

  • @MrBenlally The way you do it, you need to change grip half way up, as the finishing grip has a different grip to the start. Using the method shown here the grip remains the same (more or less) throughout the motion, giving a smoother look. As when you change grip, you either do it one hand at a time, or together n a fast jerking motion, either way, it doesn't look as slick, smooth or controlled. Just different methods, it doesn't mean yours is wrong.

  • hutch...

  • Great Tutorial. Many tutorials talk about the correct grip, but your is the first video that I saw that shows how to correctly get that grip.

  • @Moralezz91 of course you have to train hard, but a lot of people are already strong enough to do it and just need the right technique.

  • @abcd70

I saw this video and then I was like "aaaah!".

    - Did my first slow muscle up (actully my first any kind of muscleup variation :D) right after on my pullup bar.

    Thank you!

  • its hilarious, i just tried to do what u said by getting the knife edge of my hands above the bar and i muscled up easy ROFL. I could never figure out how i used to do em back when i practiced a year and sumthin ago, but I guess it was a matter of my body forgetting the technique. THX !!! =]

  • @abcd70 yea I can do like 20 perfect pull ups but I can't lift my fat ass for a mucle up so Thanks I hope this help me

  • @Moralezz91 that is true man !

  • @Moralezz91 lol no one would disagree that you need to train to gain and achieve your gouls but many would disagree to the shit part

  • The most useful muscle-up tip video i've seen on youtube.

  • Thank you for this great video. Gorgeus picture quality btw...

  • so its all about the grip, i thought i was just shit at muscle ups aha. fkn nice will get around to doing these!

  • hey Bro,thanks for the video! It really helped me alot ! :-)

  • Thanks man, great advice, keep up the good work!

Btw wrists hurt, im just starting to do it with this grip, is it normal?

  • Awesome Video!!!

Check my page i just made a Pull UP Video!!!

  • Great tutorial, Great tutorial and did i mention Great tutorial!

  • just got my first muscle up, thanks a lot man

  • Thanks..

    lam go practice ; D

  • Thanx so much for the Tutorial..

    thats really helped :)

  • I don't mean to hate or critique, but at 1:50, you switch your right hand AND then left hand, which in my opinion isn't proper, well I want to be able to do both hands at the same time. I mean that variation is much easier.

    like in this guy's video

    jokeryoule21

Some bar skill ( one arm pull up, human flag, muscle up etc. )

haha he wants to keep his method of training vague

cuz he's like "there's no specific training"

I just trained until I could do it....

    yeah not really helpful

  • @jrk987 you can do the muscle up fast or slow.

if you do it fast, you can use momentum to get on top of the bar and you don't have to use the grip i showed in the video.

if you do it slow though you have to change your grip first, and then pull yourself up. you can't change the grip of both hands at the same time.

in the beginning of the video i've already gripped the bar the right way so i don't have to change, later i'm showing how to change the grip if your already hanging on the bar.

  • @abcd70 I know. You're supposed to put the bottom part of your wrists at the top of the bar, which I have tried. I think my problem is the strength in my fore-arms, My wrists slide down when I reach the peak, they cant bend upward. I can do 12 solid l-sit pullups and 12 l-sit chinups in one set. I do 1 set of pullups, rest for 3 minutes, then do 1 set of chinups, buta not a single muscle-up; do you know any body weight exercises to strengthen the fore-arms? I don't like lifting weights lol.

  • @jrk987 the slow muscle up is very advanced. If you havent got a single muscle up yet, you want get a slow muscle up. This grip want work for you. Start with a regular grip then COMMIT!!! to the turn over, then press up. When you jump up to the bar you will have a natural swing coming back, use that to help you power up. Another thing you can do is get to the top of the bar and start up, the momentum going down will help you get that first muscle up. Everybody swing at first.

  • @lamainethetrain haha I got my first muscle up yesterday! I didn't have to put my elbows down on the bar, but it was REALLY hard on my wrists anyway. I literally had to put my ENTIRE hand over the bar to the point that my palm wasn't even touching the bar, only my wrist, which felt really awkward and painful lol, it wasn't with momentum though. I'll try posting a video next time I go to my gymnastics class next week. Usually they use a kip up and not a muscle up to get over the bar though.

  • @jrk987 cool. post that video man.....my new channel is trainwithlamaine

  • @abcd70 Hey I'm going to post a muscle up attempt, can you give me any tips when you see it?

  • @jrk987 ok

  • @abcd70 Btw when I do the slow planche, I have to "rest" my stomach or the bar before I can switch the grip. That's incorrect form right?

  • @jrk987 look at the first slow muscle up in the beginning

  • Comment removed

  • i can do that...but a lot of people do muscle ups with their palm...

  • Great, I'm off to the park to try !!

  • I cant get grip like that

  • best muscle up guide on youtube
