ive got a 6month old staffy and he is the most loving and most playfullest dog i have ever owned, he loves anyone, and would lik them to death, so its like what everyone is saying its not the dog, its how people bring them up, because obviously not all staffy and or pittbulls are dangerous.... oh yeah awesome movie by the way
I had a staffy most precious pet to us!!! One day he bit my daughters face i had him put to sleep. but before us he had a bad past. From pups these can be very loyal dogs and child friendly if the owner bring it up right. Beautiful breed!!!!
When my daughter was ablut six, we had a ST. Bernard. She rode him like a horse! In the wintwer she would lay in the snow, and pretende that she was in trouble. "Fido (his real name), would run up to her and lay next to her and try to "reveive" her! Great dog, but it liked to eat the kitchen (wallpaper, trim, chairs, etc. As it was growing, he would sleep under our bed, and one 4AM The whole bed was lifting up awakened us. He grew too big was stuck! Miss him. "Blitz" our SBT was a sweet doll.
My daiughter has had many Pit bulls (various breeds), and they all were sweat dogs. She is a sweet person, and it depends on their genetics and how they are raised. Right now, she has a smoke grey pit bull that is scary looking with HUGE jaws. His name is Mack. I haven't heard him bark once and he is so laid back, it's incredible! If someone expresses disdain (such as critisizing hij for stealing and chewing up their shoes, he retreats to a corner with his head down, looks sad-guilty.Very loving

My staffy was the loveliest dog in the world, normally she would greet visitors when they came to our house by attempting to shake hands and by looking adorable. But when there were kids over she politely kept her distance, and when the toddlers came over to tug her ears and tail she graciously took the abuse. Another young child mauled today... I know it's not the dog's fault. People have a negative idea about SBT's, and that attracts a certain type of people, who use these poor dogs to enhance their own self image of "toughness". It's disgusting. Some people simply shouldn't be allowed to own dogs.
There are so many of them being put down right now because of bad owners it literally breaks my heart and I cry for them. It is the owners that need to be rehabilitated, not the breed. If you have a child and you beat it from the time it is born and mistreat it and neglect it, they will grow up to be mean and hateful. Pitbulls were selected and culled on the traits of their gameness. The size of the animal was irrelevant. A smaller dog was often better SKILLED.

I wish people wouldn't make such snap decisions on a breed based on a few newspaper articles that are often one-side. Stafforhire Bull Terriers are well known for their indomitable courage, high intelligence, and affection. They are trustworthy dogs and extremely protective over their humans. And its because of their natural fondness for people that most Staffies are temperamentally ill-suited for guard or attack-dog training.
i have two staffys both under one and they are beyond soft they wud lick u to death and smother u with cuddles. they love jumpin in bed with me and my partner and goin under the covers and cuddlin up with us in the mornins. they are great with other dogs and children as i have my two younger sisters round on a regular basis they are great dogs and very lovin.
These dogs cost penny's, dog homes are full of them, people who generally own these dogs do for a hard man appearence, benefit scrounging drug dealers, who tease the dog to attack,they rarely walk it because they can't be bothered and when they do it's on the streets and don't clean up after it, I have never come accross a sociable staffy yet, a**holes own staffy's. A few facts there for you all to read, I don't hear people saying shih tzu, collie's, airedale's pug's are nasty dogs!!!!

Girl Recovering After Pit Bull Attack
An 8 y/o girl hospitalized after being attacked by a pit bull.
It happened when Kelcee was getting off the school bus.
He says the dog's owner, Clinton Woosley, saw the dog get loose.
"He saw the dog attack Kelcee, and he got the dog off of her and told her to run while he tried to hold the dog. The dog got loose from him, and attack her again".

about 2 years ago i was given the great gift of buster a staffy who had been beaten and starved nearly to death all he needed was a bit of love and care.... he loved me and my family from the beginning, including my other dogs and my cats. he brings light to my life every day, from waking me up with a kiss in the morning to keeping me awake at nyt with his snoring lol. the only way he would ever hurt neone would be when he trying to sit on ure knee and lick you to death !!!! thanks for the vid x
We have now lost both of our Staffy's. Bella was nearly 18 and Trojan 15, It was like loosing two of my own children. When we had the kids they were like their gardians! I would not have any other breed and longing for the right time to have them back in my life. R.I.P Bella & Trojan. Gone but never forgotten!!!
@TheBettyswollocks I love you comment because it's pure truth, I've owned two English Staffordshire Bull Terriers in my life time, and both are great dogs. The only thing my first Staffordshire Bull Terrier did that annoyed me, was he would pull huge branches out of a mill pound I use to fish at and scare away the fish. Otherwise he was as good as gold., The press seem to paint every breed with the same brush. I hope you find a new Staffy soon. Peace.

my dad brought home aSTB/greyhound cross bout six months ago, and though i have to admit i was a bit wary at the beginning - they do look quite intimidating and being part greyhound he is HUGE - he is the sweetest and gentlest and smartest dog in the world.

Staffy's are marvellous dogs. They're nothing like trained pitbulls, they're loving and funny animals. And even well trained pitbulls can be lovelly dogs. I'm so glad these wonderful animals are legal here in the uk.
My girlfriend and i are talking about getting a dog, but we both have very different tastes in pooch, im more into german shepherds & dobermans. I previously owned a GSD until last Feb. when sadly she passed away. where she is into girly dogs like pugs and pom poms, however the staffy is the one dog we can agree on. What are these dogs like around the house and how easy or hard are they to train?
@84Masterofpuppets They're sweet, very loyal, and super goofy! Mine constantly makes me laugh. But, they do have a lot of energy, and NEED training from an early age. Just like a GSD they want to please their owners and have a "job" or else they get bored fast. Make sure if you get one when its a pup to socialize it, take it everywhere. The park, the store, the coffee shop. You have to make sure it has every kind of good experience with different people and other animals.
@84Masterofpuppets I've had my SBT since she was 8 weeks old, and we got her into puppy classes right away. She was not only the class clown, but also one of the smartest, and Im not just saying that cause shes my dog haha. She picked up the training very fast, but shes also pretty stubborn and likes to "test" us. So, around the house you have to stay in charge and keep them busy. I suggest lots and lots of the chew bully sticks lol. Hope that helps some!
ive had nothing but staffys and they are so loyal and would guard me and the family with he's life. They have SOOO much energy though so they need to be walked daily, and if you have floor boards they scratch the shit out of it. They just try run so fast and slip over etc, but they are the most fun dog. I personaly got the last in the litter, and he has alot of problems. But they are worth every cent and very freindly.
Lets see how many Christmas pitbull maulings there will be.

CHEYENNE — A woman was hospitalized for treatment of injuries she suffered when a pitbull running loose attacked her.
Sgt. Rob Dafoe identified the woman as 39 y/o Nicole Keller. He said the dog bit her on her lower body.
The intact, male dog charged at an officer, who fired at the animal with a rifle but missed it. Cheyenne Animal Control officers later found the dog at its owner's residence nearby.
Brilliant, owned staffies for 20 years, have 2 at the moment and found them to be the most loyal, sensitive, gentle and beautiful dogs....I wished most humans had their attitude....great video!

Anyway, kudos on the video. At my shelter 90% of the dogs are staffs and most of them have been really badly neglected and abused. They are really hard to re-home thanks to media scare stories and misinformation. Most of them are complete sweethearts and only long for the love they haven't yet received.

I think the problem is the 'TYPE' of people typically owning staffs, it's usually teen or mid 20's 'thugs' if I'm honest, obviously any type of dog raised under poor conditions probably will turn vicious since ALL dogs have the capacity to be violent! That said I love my staff to death he's a complete baby & wouldn't harm a fly!
WESTMORELAND COUNTY, PA - A local community held a fundraiser to help a boy who was attacked by a pitbull in Westmoreland County last month.
Hayden Stoll, 5, was attacked by the stray dog on Nov. 18 while he was playing in his front yard. Stoll suffered serious injuries and recently had a metal plate attached to his jaw.
Terrell County, GA - Two pitbulls attacked a flock of helpless sheep on a farm in Terrell County Monday morning. Twenty sheep were killed, and animal control officers are still out looking for those two white pitbulls.

I think it touches an often overlooked problem, one frequently overlooked in the "violence/video games" debate as well; violent people like things that have potential for violence. In reality, and even more so in media hype, the PB breeds have a physique (though not necessarily temperament) that gives exceptional potential in that area. Therefore the wrong people buy them, and the snowball rolls on.
1 of only 2 breeds recommended by the Kennel Club to have with babies and toddlers. The ignorance of people is painful, especially against such a fantastic and gentle breed of dog.

Ok i've read the comments on how genetics affect the dogs behaviour and could make them agressive or something like that.
A dog from when it's born is just a small animal that needs the right home to grow up and become a good friend. Unfortunately a lot of pitbulls or staffordshires end up in the wrong places where they are neglected and abused.
It's the owners that influence the dog and if a dog is severely aggressive, take a look at the owner before judging that the dog is naturally violent
Its all on how these dogs are raised... chiwawa's bite more people then pits, but they dont have a bad reputation like pits cause they can just be booted.
I own a pit an she is so loving and has NEVER bitten anyone.
Did you know that there was dog (a pit) that got multiple metals during (i think) WW1 or WW2 for rescuing soldiers?

I have this dog- she jumped up on my lap and licked my face. we were both smiling ear to ear. then she jumped down and instinctively waited by my feet for instruction- very smart and, yes, excellent with kids. My SBT has no bad bone in her body. I'll love this dog to the end. Beautiful- mine is all brown fauna color and black snout. this dog loves people- it's funny that you assholes who hate SBT don't even own one. If it was a bad dog, i would be the first to bitch...SBT ftw
@rickydaniele I have the same type you do, it seems. The one shown at .46 looks just like mine. She's been in the family since she was a little baby and shows us nothing but love. She's never been treated poorly and has certainly never struck, but for some reason, she cannot be trusted with other dogs or children. I wish she was the typical Staffy but she just goes crazy and looks like she could do some damage! I get so sad because at home, she is the most loving dog in the world!!

When my daughter was ablut six, we had a ST. Bernard. She rode him like a horse! In the wintwer she would lay in the snow, and pretende that she was in trouble. "Fido (his real name), would run up to her and lay next to her and try to "reveive" her! Great dog, but it liked to eat the kitchen (wallpaper, trim, chairs, etc. As it was growing, he would sleep under our bed, and one 4AM The whole bed was lifting up awakened us. He grew too big was stuck! Miss him. "Blitz" our SBT was a sweet doll.

My daiughter has had many Pit bulls (various breeds), and they all were sweat dogs. She is a sweet person, and it depends on their genetics and how they are raised. Right now, she has a smoke grey pit bull that is scary looking with HUGE jaws. His name is Mack. I haven't heard him bark once and he is so laid back, it's incredible! If someone expresses disdain (such as critisizing hij for stealing and chewing up their shoes, he retreats to a corner with his head down, looks sad-guilty.Very loving

My staffy was the loveliest dog in the world, normally she would greet visitors when they came to our house by attempting to shake hands and by looking adorable. But when there were kids over she politely kept her distance, and when the toddlers came over to tug her ears and tail she graciously took the abuse. But still parents would steer their kids away from her in the park and have the balls to look annoyed at our family. Dicks. I know I wouldn't ever get any other type of dog

There are so many of them being put down right now because of bad owners it literally breaks my heart and I cry for them. It is the owners that need to be rehabilitated, not the breed. If you have a child and you beat it from the time it is born and mistreat it and neglect it, they will grow up to be mean and hateful. You get out of dogs what you put in and it it unfortunate that just about any one can have children and own dogs.

I am so glad you made this video. SBT's get just as bad a rap as pitbulls do. But people need to understand. Dogs are like babies. They will be what you teach them to be. If you fill them with fear and negativity, they will be mean. If you fill them with love and more love, they are the most loyal, loving and affectionate dogs in the world. I have a 5 y.o. @TheWarloghe Dogs are rarely (if ever) bred in favour of -aggressive- genes. Why? Because this makes them impossible to TRAIN. :P Breeding a fearless/protective line of dogs and breeding an aggressive line of dogs is NOT to be confused.
Many people do confuse these distinct traits, however, which is one of the reasons pitbulls have such a bad rap. If you look at the history of dog myths, you'll see how this silly fear mongering bounced from doberman pinchers to pitbulls. It's an old mistake.

I wish people wouldn't make such snap decisions on a breed based on a few newspaper articles that are often one-side. Stafforhire Bull Terriers are well known for their indomitable courage, high intelligence, and affection. They are trustworthy dogs and extremely protective over their humans. And its because of their natural fondness for people that most Staffies are temperamentally ill-suited for guard or attack-dog training.

Girl Recovering After Pit Bull Attack
An 8 y/o girl hospitalized after being attacked by a pit bull.
It happened when Kelcee was getting off the school bus.
He says the dog's owner, Clinton Woosley, saw the dog get loose.
"He saw the dog attack Kelcee, and he got the dog off of her and told her to run while he tried to hold the dog. The dog got loose from him, and attack her again".

about 2 years ago i was given the great gift of buster a staffy who had been beaten and starved nearly to death all he needed was a bit of love and care.... he loved me and my family from the beginning, including my other dogs and my cats. he brings light to my life every day, from waking me up with a kiss in the morning to keeping me awake at nyt with his snoring lol. the only way he would ever hurt neone would be when he trying to sit on ure knee and lick you to death !!!! thanks for the vid x

We have now lost both of our Staffy's. Bella was nearly 18 and Trojan 15, It was like loosing two of my own children. When we had the kids they were like their gardians! The only thing my first Staffordshire Bull Terrier did that annoyed me, was he would pull huge branches out of a mill pound I use to fish at and scare away the fish. Pitbull Victim Dies From Injuries
San Diego - A 76 y/o woman who was maimed by two pitbulls in June, died on Christmas Eve from complications of her injuries.
Emako Mendoza was bitten at her home the morning of June 18 as she went outside to get a newspaper.
Following the incident she suffered a heart attack, and her left arm and leg had to be amputated.

@84Masterofpuppets They're sweet, very loyal, and super goofy! Mine constantly makes me laugh. But, they do have a lot of energy, and NEED training from an early age. Just like a GSD they want to please their owners and have a "job" or else they get bored fast. Make sure if you get one when its a pup to socialize it, take it everywhere. The park, the store, the coffee shop. You have to make sure it has every kind of good experience with different people and other animals.

@84Masterofpuppets I've had my SBT since she was 8 weeks old, and we got her into puppy classes right away. She was not only the class clown, but also one of the smartest, and Im not just saying that cause shes my dog haha. She picked up the training very fast, but shes also pretty stubborn and likes to "test" us. So, around the house you have to stay in charge and keep them busy. I suggest lots and lots of the chew bully sticks lol. Hope that helps some!

They have SOOO much energy though so they need to be walked daily, and if you have floor boards they scratch the shit out of it. They just try run so fast and slip over etc, but they are the most fun dog. I personaly got the last in the litter, and he has alot of problems. But they are worth every cent and very freindly.

CHEYENNE — A woman was hospitalized for treatment of injuries she suffered when a pitbull running loose attacked her.
Sgt. Rob Dafoe identified the woman as 39 y/o Nicole Keller. He said the dog bit her on her lower body.
The intact, male dog charged at an officer, who fired at the animal with a rifle but missed it. Cheyenne Animal Control officers later found the dog at its owner's residence nearby.

Anyway, kudos on the video. At my shelter 90% of the dogs are staffs and most of them have been really badly neglected and abused. They are really hard to re-home thanks to media scare stories and misinformation. Most of them are complete sweethearts and only long for the love they haven't yet received.

I think the problem is the 'TYPE' of people typically owning staffs, it's usually teen or mid 20's 'thugs' if I'm honest, obviously any type of dog raised under poor conditions probably will turn vicious since ALL dogs have the capacity to be violent! Ok i've read the comments on how genetics affect the dogs behaviour and could make them agressive or something like that.
A dog from when it's born is just a small animal that needs the right home to grow up and become a good friend. Unfortunately a lot of pitbulls or staffordshires end up in the wrong places where they are neglected and abused.
It's the owners that influence the dog and if a dog is severely aggressive, take a look at the owner before judging that the dog is naturally violent

Its all on how these dogs are raised... chiwawa's bite more people then pits, but they dont have a bad reputation like pits cause they can just be booted.
I own a pit an she is so loving and has NEVER bitten anyone.
Did you know that there was dog (a pit) that got multiple metals during (i think) WW1 or WW2 for rescuing soldiers?
Not to mention they used Pits in multiple movies like "The Little Rascals" and many others.

I have this dog- she jumped up on my lap and licked my face. we were both smiling ear to ear. then she jumped down and instinctively waited by my feet for instruction- very smart and, yes, excellent with kids. My SBT has no bad bone in her body. I'll love this dog to the end. Beautiful- mine is all brown fauna color and black snout. this dog loves people- it's funny that you assholes who hate SBT don't even own one. @rickydaniele I have the same type you do, it seems. The one shown at .46 looks just like mine. She's been in the family since she was a little baby and shows us nothing but love. She's never been treated poorly and has certainly never struck, but for some reason, she cannot be trusted with other dogs or children. I wish she was the typical Staffy but she just goes crazy and looks like she could do some damage! I get so sad because at home, she is the most loving dog in the world!!

All this propaganda about saving pitbulls is around because pitbulls are the animals who are mauling and killing. If there wasn't a pitbull attack every day, there wouldn't be a push for BSL against them.

I own and have owned Staffs (not pitbulls) all my life and Id trust them with mine, if a dog bites try looking at the owners. Yet anyway, who cares if a dog gets aggressive, like humans dont? Humans are the most violent species on the planet, we dont own it and should stop acting like we do, Id choose a Staffs life over a humans any day of the week :) Im done with wasting energy on u

@zioxic The only thing better about "rehabilitated" pitbulls is that they have been given some exposure to other humans and pets.
Pitbulls, raised from a pup may not exhibit any aggression until 1.5 to 2 years of age. I've read where the mauling started as early as 9 mos.
Those owners are usually in denial even after their beloved pet mauls or kills something.
I'm not saying all pitbulls pose a threat, but unfortunately, an unacceptable percentage do.

Pitbull owner attacked by own dogs in Rockford
IL- A pair of dogs described as PITBULLS were captured after they attacked their owner.
The woman had suffered serious injuries during the attack and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

When a little dog bites (like they do all the time) it doesnt make news cos you just think "ouch!" and forget about it, but when 1 pitbull bites its national news because their jaws actually work.

@TheWarloghe The problem with pitbull attacks in the USA is that the majority of so called pitbulls there are big 70pound plus animals produced by mixing in mastiff type breeds with pitbulls, the dogs now look like BIG pitbulls but have genes from breeds used to fight against men in olden times, like the Neapolitan Mastiff.
We've had pitulls in ireland from the beginning, our forefathers took them to the USA, but we don't have pitbull attacks in the news here, have to ask why??

Any and all dogs need to come from a non inbreeding breeder, and need to be treated with love for them not to be aggresive. Pitbulls were BRED to be ANIMAL AGGRESSIVE. Because of unethical breeders many are attacking humans and are mentally unstable. Sure you can train a dog to do many things, but it will always have it's natural instincts.

Staffordshire Bull terriers do take a lot of flack, and it is because they don't get feed, walked, or any attention.You need to play with them, and you need to walk them lots, and feed them proper food. Then you'll have the best dog around. Most of those dogs are labeled Staffordshire Bull Terriers, but they're not, they are crosses, who didn't grow up in a good environment.
