I find that the weight of the steel frame (1911 or not) makes it easier to stay on target. I like my handguns big and heavy, within reason. A jericho 941 or any cz75 clone is perfect.
I work at a shooting range where we rent all types of guns. We have a NH GRP for rent. This gun is awesome! We've gone 10s of thousands of rounds with this gun without any kind of cleaning, lubing, spring replacements, etc. This gun always runs and alwasy groups tight. Well worth the money. Probably one of the best 1911s I've come across.
its just you. Hes working the trigger reset. And regardless, with a SA trigger slapping is at times the preffered method. Just ask Rob Leatham, Bill Wilson, etc...
well it's easy to see this ain't joe shmoes gun, but all you glockaphiles get over it, nothing beats a modern fine tuned 1911, but who has 2k$ to spend, so poly it is. nice gun though. ps smith and wesson M&P is a sweet shooter, for a poly gun!
@SavageArms357 Yeah well, its just to bad that Glock cost 500 dollars and these cost between 2 and 3 thousand... Yeah, i'll stick with my Glock. These are nice but WAY overpriced.
@SavageArms357 Never got brand hate myself. As long as it does what it's supposed to do and doesn't go all saturday night special and blow up in your hand, every gun bought is another one to rub (figuratively) in the faces of anti-2A folks. Preferences are one thing, but I get some virulent hate for packing a 1911.
Stupid guns..... they make my wallet thin.

Sure it has 100% reliability but does someone like a cop really want to risk carrying this and getting it scratched?

Those are nice, but I could never justify the cost. Maybe in a 3 years when I have my doctorate! :)
Also, not to be a nit picker: is it just me, or is he slapping the heck out of that trigger at 02:00 ?

Unless you have to shoot people regularly what is the advantage of this over a .45 Glock pistol?
The Glock goes bang when I pull the trigger, I am a good shot and I doubt I can out shoot the gun.

Personal preference. The glock may be a lighter, easier handling gun, but some people prefer the weight in a 1911.

I agree with you. I carry a Glock 22 and I love it. I do plan to buy a 1911 within the next year.
My Glock goes bang when I pull the trigger; and that is all I care about. I point that thing at whatever threat is in front of me; and God help them.
1911's are GREAT guns!!! But they are not the answer to everything; and the same goes for the Glock.

this is a match grade gun. if you are shooting professionally its the little things that make the difference.
really tho these are for people with money who just want something really special.
