@LanceChui as someone who had to buy the game and play it to save face after acting like a video game bigot, only to have to change my tune when I actually enjoyed it, None taken :)
I've now decided that any game that follows after Wind Waker will inevitably be in my top three Zelda games
Whoever thumbed my previous comment from a week ago down is an idiot.
Your "perfect game" is practially a remake. Did you not see how many huge similarities there are? No, because you're too sensitive to accept that it is a near-remake and in no way 100% original.
I'm not sure if you've played Spirit Tracks, but I swear it, it's a brilliant game, and so is the music. I love it more than Phantom Hourglass, but maybe that's just me :P
you know, i hope to god that the zelda wii has a train in it, just to piss you off, and make me even happier.
i suppose even if there were say, a train heist, or a chase scene (both in the game) its still just a crappy little train? does it challenge your manhood or something?
if so, dont play assassins creed 2 its a ruined game because theres a scene where you have to drive a carriage, with another dude, infact. totally fuckin gay dude.
Dont know where the homophobic accusastions come from, but anyway:
A train is the exact opposite of the usual mystical atmosphere Zelda-games are supposed to create while playing them.
You can hate me all you want, lol, but I want a Zelda where Link is as close to a knight as possible, fighting it out with dangerous fiends one on one, with sword and shield. And not driving a train and solving Brain Training DS-like puzzles. But thats just me :)
mystical atmosphere? just because something doesn't fit in your definition of "mystical" doesn't mean it can't fit in mine. Need remind you of the mechanical/industrial feel of the Great Bay Temple in Majora's? Or the Matrix-like qualities of the Twilight monsters in Twilight Princess? Let's not forget the mine carts or the crazy stuff going on in Link's Awakening. I'm sorry, I just don't agree with you.
Ocarina of Time is practically a remake of A Link to the Past from plot to the Seven Maidens/Seven Sages idea, Zelda trapped in crystal, Spiritual Stones/The Three Synbols (even the same colours) in order to get the Master Sword, ect., ect., ect....
There's a near-remake of A Link to the Past for you. :/
It honestly doesn't. I have played all three games, and nearly everyting in Ocarina of Time is identical to A Link to the Past.
There are only two notable similarities between Twilight Princess and A Link to the Past: darker and lighter worlds and the Master Sword being in a forest grove.
Ironically, in the original version of Ocarina of Time, guess where the Master Sword was? I the lost woods!
Original version of Ocarina of Time? Do you mean before they released it? Or maybe TP? Cuz all versions of release, the Master Sword in Ocarina of Time was in the Temple of Time. The Master Sword was in the Lost Woods again in Twilight Princess.
They made clear it doesn't come on the adult timeline, leaving only one placment left.
The A Link to the Past Lost Woods theme also played in the Master Sword grove in the beta or Twilight Princess- says it all.
After The Wind Waker, everything that was old Hyrule was destroyed, the Trifroce and the legends became history and erased. A century passed, a a new Hyrule with new legends and new synbols came.
A Link to the Past tells the story of ancient Hyrule, the Trifroce, the Master Sword.
And as shown, the Master Sword was lost forever, Ganondorf was buried beanth the sea, killed, turned to stone, and destroyed. The Trifroce dissapeared, and the legends of Hyrile were forgoten and eraed from history.
In A Link to the Past, the Master Sword is found in an ancient pedestal, and the scenery of the forest seen in the officla artwork is exactly the same forest from the Master Sword grove in Twilight Princess, which never erased the legends.
i prefer TP. that game you can easily get more than 30 hours in the story. PH bosses were cool and harder but not a harder game at all. the puzzles in TP were tough in PH they were simple. PH is an easy game. Hands down to me Oracle of Seasons and Minish Cap are the best Zelda handheld games
I am surprised that someone would say TP's puzzles are difficult. I know the puzzle in PH is very simple and easy, but the riddle in TP is not hard at all either, compare to MM and OoT. Maybe is becuase we play Zelda series too much, that those puzzles can no longer burden us anymore. I've beated 4 swords and Minish map in merely 1 day when I first purchased them without any source of walkthrough, and never play them a second time LOL.(And it probably doesnt take more than 6-8 hours)
Well, they can't statisfy anyone. (I do like Wind Waker style a lot)
However, maybe you'll feel better if I tell you that Miyamoto stated that Spirit Tracks was going to be much harder then the majority of the portable games (exspecially Phantom Hourglass)
So, even if you dislike the style, at least it's gonna be a challenging game. ;-)
He said harder for people who have only played just Phantom Hourglass, and maybe a few others, but Phantom Hourglass was so incredibly easy, even though i liked the gameplay a lot. I think that Spirit Tracks will just be not that easy.
For some reason, I didn't find Phantom hourglass that much easier than Twilight Princess. XD
I found both of them to be challenging...
Actually, the only Zelda games that ever seemed significantly harder to me than the others (besides the firs two) were to Oracle games, due to the dungeon-layout... O.o
LOL Phantom Hourglass's bosses are much more difficult than TP's.(Much Higher Att points) TP bosses only deals about 1/4-1 heart per attack. PH's bosses deal around 1-3 hearts. The duel dragons boss killed me several times before I figured out how to damage them, Beside, I;ve beated TP with 3 hearts before(not too hard), but i dont think i can do it on PH. Even the final boss is kinda difficult in PH.(Gonan is just LAME)
The PH bosses did do more damage, but it was so easy to avoid them. Even the final boss was complete cakewalk. The only times I even got hit in the game I think where on the big stone boss, and Bellum's first form. The TP bosses actually stand a chance of hitting you.
Zelda: When you hear me sing my song Link: Ze-elda... Can I come and sing along? Zelda: My spirit's rising to the cloud-tops, breaking through all boundaries, I want to take you with me, beyond... this land of legends. Link: This is our new Legend. Both: Listen to the great legend.
It's a hobby of mine. I do that all the time. I even made my lyrics of the Molgera Battle theme into a video... which is supprisingly popular, despite my horrific voice. O.o
@shadicthahedgehog You can watch the trailer (but it's very spoiler-heavy) on gametrailers com. But there's is no version of the full song without the trailer's soundeffect yet, which is why I wish ZREO to orchestrate it. ;-)
I love this picture. I wish that there was a zelda game like spirit tracks, but with Twilight Princess-like graphics. It's probably the train fan in me speaking.

lol I don't understand why people think people dying makes a game not kiddy.
And the bad guys -usually- die in video games. It would be weird if they didn't.
Why are people so unable to see how these DS Zeldas are so much kiddier than other Zelda games?
Arguing about this is getting boring.
My opinion = I think Zelda is kiddy.
Your opinion = whatever.

i'm not saying it's a terrible game, but i really just don't like these newer zeldas.
i like the older ones, like a link to the past and ocarina of time... and even link's awakening was awesome o_O
the kiddy-ness in spirit tracks is especially evident in some of its cutscenes, particularly the ones with link/zelda.
i mean... i think there's something in the storyline referred to as THE LOKOMO... (as in locomotive - that's vague enough not to spoil anything)

"No company has had a huge gaming revolution in a long time."
I'm gonna have to disagree with that.
Xbox360/PS3 revolutionized online console gaming.
CoD4/Halo3 revolutionized online FPS's.
Sony's revolutionizing multimedia capabilities on their PS3/PSP right now.
Nintendo is TRYING to play catch-up with their DSi... but I don't see that happening.
I don't own a 360, so I can't comment about it as much. o_O

There are only two notable similarities between Twilight Princess and A Link to the Past: darker and lighter worlds and the Master Sword being in a forest grove.
Ironically, in the original version of Ocarina of Time, guess where the Master Sword was? I the lost woods!
XxXLucozadeXLoverXxX 2 years ago
Original version of Ocarina of Time? Do you mean before they released it? Or maybe TP? Cuz all versions of release, the Master Sword in Ocarina of Time was in the Temple of Time. The Master Sword was in the Lost Woods again in Twilight Princess.
ryuuseiSoul 2 years ago
It is in the Temple of Time, in the lost woods in Twilight Princess. In A Link to the Past, the ruins are almost gone and only the pedestal is left.
In Ocarina of Time, the Master Sword and Temple of Time were originally intended to be in the Lost Woods.
see: Forest Temple, the would-be Temple of Time & Master Sword in the woods.
XxXLucozadeXLoverXxX 2 years ago
That's assuming TP and ALTTP is in the same timeline.
ryuuseiSoul 2 years ago
They are, if you haven't guessed.
XxXLucozadeXLoverXxX 2 years ago
The creators haven't said anything about it, so it's only a theory.
ryuuseiSoul 2 years ago
They made clear it doesn't come on the adult timeline, leaving only one placment left.
The A Link to the Past Lost Woods theme also played in the Master Sword grove in the beta or Twilight Princess- says it all.
After The Wind Waker, everything that was old Hyrule was destroyed, the Trifroce and the legends became history and erased. A century passed, a a new Hyrule with new legends and new synbols came.
A Link to the Past tells the story of ancient Hyrule, the Trifroce, the Master Sword.
XxXLucozadeXLoverXxX 2 years ago

Hands down to me Oracle of Seasons and Minish Cap are the best Zelda handheld games
kirbycutta 2 years ago
I am surprised that someone would say TP's puzzles are difficult. I know the puzzle in PH is very simple and easy, but the riddle in TP is not hard at all either, compare to MM and OoT. Maybe is becuase we play Zelda series too much, that those puzzles can no longer burden us anymore. I've beated 4 swords and Minish map in merely 1 day when I first purchased them without any source of walkthrough, and never play them a second time LOL.(And it probably doesnt take more than 6-8 hours)
mic01851165 2 years ago
guess what? there are harder puzzles in ST, win!
hcig 2 years ago
I'll agree that PH was harder than TP, but that was just because of the controls in PH. They weren't bad.. just too unique for me x.x

Well, they can't statisfy anyone. (I do like Wind Waker style a lot)
However, maybe you'll feel better if I tell you that Miyamoto stated that Spirit Tracks was going to be much harder then the majority of the portable games (exspecially Phantom Hourglass)
So, even if you dislike the style, at least it's gonna be a challenging game. ;-)
OtakuNeni 2 years ago 2
He said harder for people who have only played just Phantom Hourglass, and maybe a few others, but Phantom Hourglass was so incredibly easy, even though i liked the gameplay a lot. I think that Spirit Tracks will just be not that easy.
daboyakasha101 2 years ago
@daboyakasha101
Ah, OK. Doesn't discourage me.
OtakuNeni 2 years ago
You're right. Actually, I found PH more difficult because of the Temple of the Ocean King. TP was just so easy... even Ganon.
Supermariofan14 2 years ago
@Supermariofan14
You're joking right? Phantom Hourglass harder than Twilight Princess? You actually has a chance to take damage in TP!
MrBowserPuffi 2 years ago
Well, not the puzzles, but the enemies were much more difficult.
Supermariofan14 2 years ago
LOL Phantom Hourglass's bosses are much more difficult than TP's.(Much Higher Att points) TP bosses only deals about 1/4-1 heart per attack. PH's bosses deal around 1-3 hearts. The duel dragons boss killed me several times before I figured out how to damage them, Beside, I;ve beated TP with 3 hearts before(not too hard), but i dont think i can do it on PH. Even the final boss is kinda difficult in PH.(Gonan is just LAME)
mic01851165 2 years ago
@mic01851165
The PH bosses did do more damage, but it was so easy to avoid them. Even the final boss was complete cakewalk. The only times I even got hit in the game I think where on the big stone boss, and Bellum's first form. The TP bosses actually stand a chance of hitting you.

OK, call me world's hugest nerd-fangirl, but I actually wrote lyrics to the song because... my head just wanted to. x-P:
Zelda:
The earth is trembeling under my feet
It makes me start to feel like I would disolve
I have been waiting long for a miracle
Link: Princess, Princess, may I please, play my pipes for you?
Zelda:
And now it turned out: That miracle was you!
Link:
Come on, please, take my hand, I'll promise, that we'll do it, even if it seems impossible!

It's a hobby of mine. I do that all the time. I even made my lyrics of the Molgera Battle theme into a video... which is supprisingly popular, despite my horrific voice. O.o

Nice music! But personally, I think Link in a conducter's suit will just' fuck up the game. He'll be in a train :(
archiesonic 2 years ago
@archiesonic We get ghost Zelda as helping-hand for him to make up for it. Have you seen the trailer?
Besides, he wears the conductor's outfit for, like, 30 minutes or so.
OtakuNeni 2 years ago
Peaceful build-up, followed by heroic music with a train pace (how fitting).
Seen how perfect it fits Link travelling the open fields with his train?
Masterful music.

@shadicthahedgehog Yeah, the newest trailer for the game features it! It sounds absolutly fantastic!^^
OtakuNeni 2 years ago
Awesome! Is there a link to download it?
shadicthahedgehog 2 years ago
@shadicthahedgehog You can watch the trailer (but it's very spoiler-heavy) on gametrailers com. But there's is no version of the full song without the trailer's soundeffect yet, which is why I wish ZREO to orchestrate it. ;-)
