This isn't a love song. Its about the relationship between performer and audience. They put a girl in the video and cranked up the prettiness to sell it as a power ballad. Decent for what it actually is, but this did represent the band's most blatant stab at commercial success. Still heads and shoulders above what Queensryche turned into, but yeah, FW'd done better before and would after.

I can't pay attention to anything other than Awaken The Guardian. It's the most metal album. The rest is sort of pretty-boy soft rock.  Good music, but not for me.

I heard "Eye To Eye" on Syrius XM's Hair Nation. Love that song. The band has a great style and sound. They kinda remind me of "Queensryche" just a little bit.

Wow, i just rediscovered Fates Warning after YEARS... I was listening to Redemption's Snowfall on Judgment Day (Ray Adler's other band) and came over here and, wow, I just forgot how much I loved Fates Warning.

Fates Warning never really fit in after John Arch left. The old guard smelled a sellout and the new fans never really materialized. However good songwriting is good songwriting and let the music speak not the Fanboys.

Fates Warning still kick ass and they are pioneers in progressive metal. look how many live concerts they have done and sell out all the tickets in a matter of hours! fates warning don't need MTV and other media..they have faithfull fans who follow them wherever they are.
