Actually, this version really shows the maturity of the band as musicians. It's a great groove--a little digression from the original, but still very Police. People are talking about Sting's voice, but I think he sounds great. Most bands that reunite sound pretty good, but they're a smattering of their former selves. The Police rocked this stage hard and showed everyone in one song that they still have it.
Bands seldom sound good let alone great on any award show but the Police sound great now matter where they play. I can't believe how great they sound after not playing together for so long.

There are some amazing drummers around, i love rock drummers like portnoy.
But stuart copeland is technically brilliant..was a huge inspiration as kid for me many many years ago..
Its when he plays little quiet sections his nuance and control is just stellar.
Its all fine and well just going for it..but when it comes to just playing..
He is the man...

Actually, this version really shows the maturity of the band as musicians. It's a great groove--a little digression from the original, but still very Police. People are talking about Sting's voice, but I think he sounds great. Most bands that reunite sound pretty good, but they're a smattering of their former selves. The Police rocked this stage hard and showed everyone in one song that they still have it.

I seen these guys at the Hollywood Bowl in 07' for "FREE" .As a kid I would watch these guys videos on MTV (early 80's) and would think how it would it feel to listen this band live!...............................The best concert I've ever been to !!!!!!!!
