  • excellent! and the 12" remix too!

  • I love the refreshing feeling of a major key (well, almost) every once in a while :D.

  • Love this.

  • i love clan of xymox tunes, love the dark wave so it is nice to hear new wave for a change, more lighter than darker beat

  • Their show in Houston was so amazing! I love this band and seeing them live made me love them even more!

  • drove to the peace corp training 1200 miles listening to this...ac went out then the tape player broke... hahah

  • awesome, interesting, creative, i love clan of xymox tunes

  • I love this song...

  • Ahh the memories. Use to fight with my ex boyfriend and listen to this cassette driving all around LA. Thinking how much this song related to me and the time the things that were going on in my life.

  • Clan of xymox is Anka & pieter, no darkie shiters...

  • I like the version on the 12" much better.

  • @mightyguf

I agree, wish it was on youtube.

  • Responder a este vídeo... salud!

  • The best track from 'Twist Of Shadows', and yes, I know this isn't the album version, but I love it, and even worked out the guitar and keyboard parts for fun. Again, better than NIN, full stop.

  • It's not the guys on the pic who played this song (except for Ronny). The rest of them don't even know how to repeat it... :-)

    BTW Isn't the EP version?

  • @Tubularek I hate it when people post a brilliant song and display a picture of a totally new lineup, as we see here. This brilliant song is a result of EARLY Xymox...not the new COX you see above. Thanks for exposing this!!

  • @PositiveLastAction

CoX was REALLY great in those days... Cheers!

  • you either feel it or you don't

  • The B-side was BRILLIANT as well........................

The first band i saw, when i moved from The Hague to Delft in 1985. I still remember that gig. The projection of the spooky graveyard ..and the charming Ankie Wolbert. Glad I've seen them in oct2009 in Leiden. They played for at least 100 minutes...

  • Christ, look at the state of them, but I remember this from 1987, I bought this on 12" had a cracking b-side, those were the days.

  • the members of this band are all completely horrific by my standards..... but they have been writing some of the best music i've listened to for many many years....

  • That red head is quite the beauty,

  • ummm by the way i'm 28 . . . old to some . . . i feel fine .you're old when your mind feels old and tired and boring. enjoy life. meet people and be safe. have fun.

  • this song. oh yes right? well i'm just a freakin' huge muthaf fan . . . i have been in the scene for years. still as inlove with the band as i was when i first heard them back in the day

  • which ones are dudes and which ones are chicks?

  • está bueno, che

  • Beautifull song... so touching... souvenirs souvenirs.... If men can return history but we are to Fade to grey..

  • very nice 5 stars =)

  • This song takes me back to 89. I bought the tape in that summer after High School. The good ol days. A good song.

  • @kevsanchez1

I was only half a year old that summber.

  • @kevsanchez1 Saw these guys with Moev during this time... The first time I heard "Louise" was live... great show!

  • @blzbug242 ...love MOEV!

  • Point blank: I want to fuck the red-head

  • ask your sister to change colour of her hair :)

  • damn u

  • the redhead in the picture really does it for me!

  • This music reminds me of falling in love for the first time as a teenager in the late 80s.

  • @calisway me too! except it was the 2000's ]x

  • id like they come to Mexico

  • Love the song, nice pic, thanks!

  • posing faker you are jordimla.

  • TMI !!

I am hetero and have some sex stories but don't share with all the world.

    Why are homos so outspoken?

Like any of us need to know the name?

    Sicko.

  • wow

  • wow a gay goth, how unique of you. who cares.......

  • obviously you do, hence the reaction! STUPID!

  • just that it appears a cry for attention and possibly acceptance. it's a waste of comment space and it's pretty lame ...... but everyone is entitled to their comment, no matter the circumstances.....

  • let's broaden that a bit. "wow..a goth..how unique"

i remember what this band looked like back in the day. they just look ridiculous these days (especially the two ren faire rejects that brought their boyfriend, azreal abyss, to the photo shoot....).

  • I remember when this came out back in 89. It brings back old memories of the 80's. The good ol day's. It reminds me of the summer of 89 right after high school graduation at Valencia High School in Placentia CA. A good song for sure.

  • Look for other great bands from Holland too like I Spy, Secret Sounds, Viva Voce, an Social Security and The Meteors. Why in heavens name arent there any clips to find of this 80's super bands from Holland....? Im so sad I only find out until know that Xymox was a dutch band.....

  • The picture doesn't fit with the original COX-Blind Hearts Line up. This was the Medusa-era on. Show us the REAL 4 AD COX. I have an autographed promo-set with this photo/1994. Furthermore, this is the 4 AD version-remix of the Blind hearts that was released through Cleopatra in the US. The 4 AD single is fairly barren, minimal. This is a mash-up mix of the early 4AD/Twist of Shadows 12" version. The best song out of all of the TOS lp.

  • beautiful!

  • I second that motion -- this song is the shit! Have not heard it for nearly 10 years. XYMOX XYMOX XYMOX

  • Hells Yeah!!! This song is the shit!

  • I love Clan of Xymox !!! Great Electro-Goth ! Superbe !! J'adore !!

  • One of the best Techno electronic songs from the eighties hands down

  • the best screw is the one in the back, trust me

  • I screw all of 'em, mate minus the mooring bros. all look very pleasing to me eyes. Mix yr. colours-Red, short, long blond and wavy. three darling birds, all of them.

  • NIN sucks balls btw.

  • there was and is no such thing as electro-goth. nor did "darkwave" even exist in the late 80s. coldwave did but not darkwave. deathrock(bauhaus, sisters of mercy, misfits, chameleons uk, etc) is completely different than electro/synth oriented stuff.

  • synth is right. i was totally into the industrial/d-rock scene in the mid to late 80s (ex: meat beat manifesto, a split second, consolidated) synth's d-rock examples are spot on. I worked in record stores from 1983-1995 and i never heard of the term darkwave. Clan's best album to me is Medusa. I was lucky enough to find that on a French import cd many years ago. Thanks for posting this song. Nice to know that I am not the only 4AD fan on the planet.

  • in Europe "Dark Wave" would be the right term, it is still in use in the goth scene for darker electronic wave music. and there was stuff like that in the 80s, a lot of now classical german darkwave/goth bands startet in the 80s like Deine Lakaien (very very good darkwave band)

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    yes i do

  • My fave from 1988 LOVE it reminds me of when I got divorced !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The best COX song!

  • guilty pleasure, I still love it!

  • amazing band, love it!!

  • great song! love this version.

  • I have it on a Radio Netherlands Transcription Services promotional disc from 1988, cool stuff!

  • I bought the cassette in the summer of 1989, and I still listen to it once in a while. Great album!

  • I actually listened to this song while driving a tank in the first Gulf War!!! Memories my friends, memories.

  • i've always wanted a german tank, one of those big panzers or tiger.

  • this is a great song because it's not goth music per se. it's a mixture of styles.

  • yes it has new wave elements. Though true new wave tends to be edgier and brighter. less gloomy.

  • john foxx, gary numan(old stuff, not new), etc.

  • it's not new wave. it's goth in it 'root form'. they have maintained the heart of goth music, holding on to the original element of all that is goth.

  • SORRY IT WAS A POOR COMMENT

  • no efbanach you are correct. this isn't goth. it's electronic. early 80s new wave did sound very dark like this. And at least the club mix version of this song is closer to that, not the "Death rock"-goth side to it. sorry goths but you'll have to face reality that xymox was best when they were elctronic-wave.

  • Fuck, this song is as old as me. I don't know what to say other than I love their music. It's so beautiful. They know how to be deep but without pissing me off like The Cruxshadows and other gothy bands. Now those guys really overdo it. So damn corny and not in a good way at times.( I still like them though.)

  • One of my favourite songs of all time. Definetily one of their best songs.

  • this song is so 1988

  • as if thats a bad thing!

  • did i say it was a bad thing ?i was just pointing out the obvious

  • so true.

  • this song actually sounds pretty advanced today if you listen to it again. i never really considered it but it's not stuck in 88'
