Alright, 2. As young as you are you play great. Keep it up. Might I suggest, as a longtime professional drummer, that you would benifit greatly if you lowered you seat a bit. While important to be comfortable, you unfortunatley have the physics of balance. You should sit with your legs level w/floor, making a 90degree angle with you upper body. You look like your leaning 2 much into the kit. SWEET!

I would ignore 80% of the BS comments you are getting. You need to tell your instructor to work on driving your heel instead of lifting your foot, you'll get much a much more fluid bass pedal action going. Also your grip is kinda jacked up, it's half Gladstone and half white-knuckle. If you go full Gladstone or full closed grip you'll probably be able to play for longer and you'll get a more natural swing to your forearm and shoulder motion. You're going to be great if you keep at it!

well I think you should buy a real drum set, not because im patronising you, only because you would be much better if you did with a electric one it's not half as good as it would be with a proper one. you should try doing some harder songs as well I think you could keep up easy. try to work your way up through herder songs until you get to a type of song that challenges you fully, playing songs like these is pretty easy.

A Yamaha DTX is a real drum set. Most modern drummers prefer a E-Kit to acoustic. You can change the sound to hundreds of different drum/cymbal combos. With an acoustic you have only one sound. Her kit also costs about $200-$400 more than an acoustic and she can lower the volume so her folks don't chew her out for practicing too loud. She'll learn more and be a more versatile drummer with this good Yamaha kit...She just needs to change the dolls in the back to Neal Peart and Lars Ulrich dolls.
