"if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, must me a duck..." lol Obama must be white, cause he walks like a white, talks like a white, and damned if he doesnt dance like one...
For 20 years, Obama belonged to a church in Chicago which gave a lifetime achievement award to the racist Louis Farrakhan. Obama himself is a racist and Al Jazeera should be discussing this in addition to looking at right wing racists.
Well, he could belong for 20 years to a racist Black Power church and have an anti-white preacher baptize him, marry him and his wife and baptize his two daughters for starters. A man is judged by the company he keeps. Accordingly, Obama is leftist radical and an afrocentric racist.
As for as the alleged racism of the church, there was nothing I ever heard overtly stated that was patently racist against whites. There was a lot said about the country and what people perceive to be injustices done by this country. The truth is you would be pressed to find any African American church that would totally "rah rah" about the US government and with good reason. Not that I except you to empathize with African Americans, because I know you don't.
African Americans live in the greatest land of opportunity on the planet. One can start out with nothing, work hard, and live extremely well. Like Barack Obama, Jesse Jackson, and Jeremiah Wright have done. They are all millionaires. Few nations work as hard as America does to correct injustices and yet, racists like Obama, Jackson and Wright make careers on putting down the very nation which has made them wealthy. What a country!
I agree with you that this country offers potentially everyone with the greatest opportunities on this planet.
But of course you totally ignore history. Of course I am expecting you to tell me that slavery ended about 130 years ago. And officially it did. But as anyone knows there was this very really thing called racism that prevented African Americans from voting, getting an education, getting decent jobs, earning a decent living and living the American Dream in general.
Blacks were not universally allowed to vote in a nationwide presidential election until 1968. Prior to that, only Blacks who lived in certain states could and those in most Southern states, where the majority of African Americans lived, they could not.
I would love to debate with about concrete the American Dream is for all even today. But that is another issue.
Many groups in America over the years have been subjected to injustices. But America unlike many other nations has tried hard to correct those problems. Racists like Farrakhan, Jackson and Wright work hard to keep blacks angry and disassociated from America when America needs racial harmony more than ever. Obama also incites racial disharmony for the sole purpose of gaining political power and I find this particularly disgusting from one who would be President. He is very bad for America.
So is it your perception of African Americans that closes your mind about Obama? That African Americans somehow refuse to assimilate into what you believe to be the "mainstream" of American culture?
And are you stating that even though Obama is half-Kenyan and half-White American, and therefore, not even technically share the same ethnic or family history of African Americans, that he is still guilty by racial association?
My mind is closed about Obama not for racial reasons, but for who he has chosen over the years to associate with. He associated with members of the Weather Underground and the PLO, who are not blacks, for instance, and these were close associations which Obama is lying about now. Obama is a far left radical who will be elected not because people like him or his radicalism but because they hate Bush's policies and performance.
Barak Obama was only about 6 or 7 years old and living in Hawaii and then Indonesia when the Weather Underground was active.
He sat on a community board with Mr. Ayers years later along with other prominent community officials from Chicago in the 1990s. The Community Board was founded by a politically conservative group. It was not a collaboration between Ayers and Obama.
Many people, not just foreigners and not just Blacks, hate Bush's policies for very valid reasons.
Also you should know that it was African American leaders along with like-mind Whites who brought about racial justice to this country. This country would still be practicing Jim Crow in many parts of this country if it were not for those who worked for change.
And it is really a lot of bs to lay the blame for America's issues with race on the doorsteps of Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson, Rev. Wright or Barak Obama.
That problem has been with us even before we were a country.
I am not laying America's issues with race on the doorsteps of Farrakhan, Wright, Jackson, or Obama alone. But if black racists are to assume the ultimate political power in America, don't we as citizens have an obligation to speak up in protest? You seem to want to excuse this disaster in the making because of past injustices against blacks. Two wrongs do not make a right.
Once again, I ask you, why do you have this fear of a Black man leading this country? Why do you think that Blacks are inherently racist?
I am just curious to know. I once heard an older white person say that his fear was that Blacks would someone day gain power and do to white people what whites once did to blacks. Is that your fear?
And what do you think there is to gain by that twisted, backward reasoning?
I've made clear my opposition to Obama is based upon his associations with racists like Wright and Jesse Jackson and with far left radicals like Bill Ayres and Rashid Khalidi. This has nothing to do with Obama's skin color. It has to do with his judgement and his opinions solely. Why do you seek to excuse Obama from normal scrutiny by insinuating that any opposition is racist?
Once again, with the Rev. Wright issue notwithstanding, your linking Obama with Jesse Jackson, and certainly with Bill Ayers and Rashid Kahlidi are all stretches. Serious stretches.
And I hope you do know that McCain helped to fund Mr. Khalidi and his organization. McCain, as chairman of the International Republican Institute founded Khalidi's organization $450,000 in 1998.
Please be careful when you try to connect the dots. You never know where they might end up.
Rashid Khalidi is a close personal friend of Obama's. Khalidi is an operative of the PLO who used to babysit Obama's children. Obama is much closer to Bill Ayres than he admits. He's attempting to cover up his ties to both Ayres and Khalidi because Ayres and Khalidi are close personal friends and because they are way too radical for American tastes. Kind of reminds me of Nixon as a man prone to covering things up, Obama does.
The character assassins are just stretching too much on the Bill Ayers connection. And it is not working. Really it is counterproductive to your cause.
But I am happy to let you shoot yourself in the foot.
And now you want to bring in Rashid Khalidi. As bad as he is supposed to be, or at least you want to make him out to be, he and his group were directly founded by McCain.
Having said that, Palestinians, like Israeli Jews, have a right to defend themselves.
Oh, so telling the truth about the connection between cop killer Bill Ayres and Hussein Obama is "character assassination?" The only reason Obama is probably going to win isn't because Americans want Obama but rather because they hate Bush and the Republicans. People don't want Obama's radicalism either, but McCain may be so closely identified with Bush that they'll vote
The thing is you state all these reasons why you won't vote for Obama and the problem is they are all based on lies or distortions of the truth: he was not born in the US, he is a Muslim, he hates, white people, he hates the USA, he is close with Bill Ayers, he has close ties to the PLO, he is a terrorist, he is a socialist....
Come on.
I really do think that in the end you do have a deep seated fear of a Black man becoming your president.
You have not stated 1 reason why U support McCain.
Of course Obama is Muslim. He admits his father was Muslim. So under Islam, he takes the father's religion. Where's the birth certificate? Why hasn't he produced a birth certificate? You mistake the truth for lies because you've fallen for Obama's propaganda. You are so excited about a black man becoming President that you can't see what Obama is or what he stands for. That's a racism I see all too much of these days.
1.) Hawaii is actually a U.S. State - Obama was born there. He is an American citizen.
2.) Americans have freedom of religion. It is in the Constitution of the US. Amendment #1. He can choose any religion he wants and not be just be stuck with the religion of his father who he barely knew.
3.) All the accusations you have leveled against Obama are contrary to verifiable facts.
All of my accusations against Obama are 100% verifiable. I realize you view Obama as the second coming of Jesus Christ so when he takes office and you find out that he's just another in a long line of lying politicians, I hope you keep a stiff upper lip. Stay strong.
You are a scared child. You are afraid of people who look different from you and who don't see as "one of your own."
Look around. American is not a nation of small towns with a homogenous population anymore. The time where the main requirement for running president meant that one would have to be a WASP is coming to an end. And I know that makes you fearful. Hence, all the lies about Obama. All the fears of what he will do to you and your "wonderful" mythical America.
So because Obama's black, I'm supposed to worship Him? I'm supposed to accept all the lies His operatives are putting out like you do? Oh, hell no! And if I don't accept Him, then I'm a racist and immature? Don't you realize how ridiculous you sound? You're a gullible fool who shouldn't be allowed to vote. America's full of gullible fools like you. Stupidly, they voted for Bush four years ago and now like idiots, they are supporting Obama. Losers.
You are saying that you are not believing a thing he says and that you find him suspicious because you do see him as black.
Let's face it: all the negative traits that you associate with his "blackness" is in your head. You see every word that comes from his mouth as a lie because it is coming from a black man.
You have not posted one SUBSTANTIVE objection to Obama's campaign promises or platforms. You reject him because of your on visceral reactions to his blackness.
To you because Obama IS black, you pay no attention to any of his associations which prove Obama's lack of character. He associates with far left radicals including Bill Ayres, Cop Killer and Reverend Wright, racist Anti American. If McCain had associated with Ku Klux Klansmen or had a preacher who preached white racism, you'd reject him out of hand as would I. You are cutting Obama slack because of his skin color which is part of the mass racism bringing Obama to the White House. Pathetic.
speaking aganist raci--m does not make one a racist -- if King, Mandela, malcolm did not speak againist it --black folk would still be living under the same conditions -- and whats wrong with being muslim any way your words are entrapping u
Nothing is wrong with being Muslim. However, Obama is Muslim and lying about it. That's what's wrong. You blame whites for racism. What an ignorant statement. Astounding.
Racism was how Africans found themselves in this country that is not an opinion its a fact--and the partakers of this evil trade were confessed christians --now a lot of progress has been made since then --but we should not ignore the triumphs and tribulations that has got us here --by the way i also heard obama is an Arab -)
Black Africans sold their fellow Black Africans into slavery. The descendants of those slaves now are lucky because now they live in the land of opportunity where a person can through hard work and dedication build a prosperous life. However, slavery has absolutely nothing to do with this year's election. Obama, himself, interestingly has no slaves in his ancestry. His father was an East African Muslim. Slaves imported into America came from West Africa.
I guess the thing that amazes me is that you say it is not about race, but you insist that Barak Obama is a racist.
Wouldn't it make sense that someone who is racist would totally abandon and disown his family. After all, he was raised by his mother - she was white. He lived and was also raised by his grandparents - also white. He had little to no contact with his father and his family most of his life until later on.
What I am saying you make no sense on that issue. Really.
Also remember that Mcain voted against having a Martin Luther King day and he even voted against sanctions against aparthaied --u feel me i dont see the media folk saying he is not fit to lead of he is a hater etc etc why ????? i dont know
Usually, elections involve choosing the lesser of two evils. What's worse--a right wing dummy or a far left liar? I think a dummy is better because a dummy (McCain) can be advised. But a liar (Obama)cannot be trusted.
But on that subject, here you have a man who has worked hard all his life. He did well in school. He went to college. He worked hard and got into Harvard Law School. His professors and peers at Harvard elected him to head the Harvard Review because of his leadership and intellectual abilities. He worked hard to help those who were not as fortunate as him. He ran for office and won.
And now he could be elected to the highest office. Yes, the American Dream is still alive.
And besides attacks against Barak Obama on your precieved notions, what do you really know about where he stands on issues like fixing the economy, getting people jobs, about the health care system and a host of other issues that were discussed during the debates?
Why are you voting for John McCain and why do you really think you would be better off under McCain than you are now?
Perceived notions? Sitting in a racist church which awarded Louis Farrakhan a lifetime achievement award for 20 years and not resigning from the church in protest isn't a perceived notion. It's a cold, hard fact. Now promises by politicians about what they'll do once they get into office, now those are perceived notions. They bear no resemblance to reality. Obama's promises at this point are pure hot air which doesn't excite me.
Louis Farrakhan may have some despicable views about Jews, however, he is not the only "religious" leader out there with questionable racial views. Farrakhan's actions have been more constructive within his own community to offer an alternative productive life to those who were caught up in a life of crime and drugs. I am no supporter of Farrakhan, but I do know enough about the man to know that he nor the NOI have committed any acts of violence against whites or Jews.
Worse yet, you act as if Obama personally awarded Farrakhan an award. You hold that Obama and Jeremiah Wright are on a mind meld and have inseparable views and philosophies and life experiences.
But the thing is, you have not told me what makes that particular church so racist? I am sure you don't know because you are just repeating what you heard from some Neoconservative blog or radio show.
Obama belonged to a church for 20 years which thinks the racist Farrakhan is an honorable man. Farrakhan incited others by his own admission to kill Malcolm X. Farrakhan is a man of hate and violence. Please explain why Obama would belong to such a vile church.
I would certainly agree with you that Farrakhan is a man who inspires hate. However, it is more hatred towards him and Blacks in general because he gives whites a reason to express their fear and loathing of African Americans. And Jews certainly have a good reason to despise him because he often targets Israel in his speeches.
But Farrakhan did not belong to the Church. He is a Muslim.
The Church is vile because it was built from a church of less than 100 members to a church of 30,000 members over 30 years by Reverend Wright, who traveled to Libya with Farrakhan and who thinks highly of Farrakhan, a racist hate monger. Why would Obama associate himself with a church which glorified Farrakhan, the man who incited others to murder Malcolm X?
So the growing a Church from 100 to 30,000 makes it a racist Church? Traveling to Libya, although not politically prudent, is racist too? Unlike racists like David Duke, Jesse Helms, Strom Thurmond, Jerry Falwell, and John Hagee, Rev. Wright never singled out a particular group for ridicule and hate.
It is interesting that you are saying that Farrakhan is a seething, violent racist, yet you only point to the murder of Malcolm X. He did have red hair and freckles. But he was a Black Man.
Obviously, Farrakhan, Wright, and Obama have gotten wealthy from fanning the flames of racial hatred. In that way, they are no different from Falwell, Strom, Helms and David Duke. Their activities destroy the racial harmony which is required for peace and justice in America. The Presidency is no place for such men, including Obama. I wouldn't have voted for Falwell or David Duke either.
The only one there I would agree with you there is Jesse Jackson. He is a crook, hypocrite and extortionist.
Farrakhan got rich from his own followers. Shame on them.
Obama made his own money. That you can look up. He cannot be lumped into the same category. And if you have paid any attention at all Jesse Jackson and Obama don't even really get along. But that is beside the point.
You have stated all your feelings about Obama. But why are you supporting McCain?

Please explain why Obama would belong to such a vile church.
electango 3 years ago
I would certainly agree with you that Farrakhan is a man who inspires hate. However, it is more hatred towards him and Blacks in general because he gives whites a reason to express their fear and loathing of African Americans. And Jews certainly have a good reason to despise him because he often targets Israel in his speeches.
But Farrakhan did not belong to the Church. He is a Muslim.
Why do you think that the Church is vile?
FlatulenceFox 3 years ago
The Church is vile because it was built from a church of less than 100 members to a church of 30,000 members over 30 years by Reverend Wright, who traveled to Libya with Farrakhan and who thinks highly of Farrakhan, a racist hate monger. Why would Obama associate himself with a church which glorified Farrakhan, the man who incited others to murder Malcolm X?
electango 3 years ago
