Makes sense. You can usually tell if a guy is a MMA fighter by looking at his ears. So many young guys claim to be MMA fighters and the first thing I do is look at their ears. If they don't have cauliflower ears, I say you must be a beginner! lol Even the best MMA fighters have cauliflower ears!
Because MMA its a popular sport in Brazil, and many fighters came from there... Silva is the biggest "family" in Brazil (even the damn president have last name Silva), they are all portuguese descendent!

Brock has nothing to hurt Fedor with. Brock takes fights to the ground. Fedor would submit him in no time - break an arm or leg free and have Brock tapping in round one.

He is already progressing....mir, one of the top 5 at submissions in the heavyweight division, couldnt submit him. Brock has a very good chance of beating fedor; watch the brett rogers fight again. brett rogers, with no wrestling experience, powered out of fedor's submissions and controlled him in the clinch. I made my comment a year ago and it actually still holds up today. Fedor, despite slowing significantly, would probably still beat Brock. And Fedor's legacy will remain. Come back in five years with another completely banal comment.

@19mumsie46 Fedor lost to Werdum and Bigfoot Silva in completely devastating fashion. Granted, Werdum's win was slightly lucky and partly Fedor's over-aggressiveness. But Bigfoot Silva dominated Fedor and rearranged his face. Don't get me wrong, I love Fedor and I'm not taking anything away from him. But he just simply cannot compete with the new breed of MMA heavyweights anymore.

Hong Man Choi is listed at 352lbs on Sherdog. He weighed in as high as 367lbs and in more recent fights as low as 330lbs. At 7'2'' I doubt he will ever fight at 270lbs.

ya kno...ive been watching more fedor fights, and i notice that unless he knocks his opponents out or submits them really quick...his "performance" in the ring lacks from time to time...but as far as the rogers fight...he rocked him a couple times leading to that knockout victory...but rogers was giving his ass the business for a minute though...he just made the mistake of giving fedor space to strike...and lyoto has dissapointed me since he's had that damn belt...lame

Indeed, Rogers took the 1st round, bloodied Fedor's nose & gave some solid head-shots. He also reversed Fedor's holds & easily & repeatedly pinned him to the gate.
THE FIGHT COULD'VE GONE EITHER WAY.
I'd bet $1,000 Rogers could win within two more match-ups.

I would of given the first round to Fedor, Rocked him with that big left hand, dominated most of the fight, slung him to the ground a few times, reversed a ground and pound with an armlock. 1 lucky punch that happened to cut Fedor, didn't rock him at all and a small ground and pound for a few seconds before being reversed, with pushing Fedor against the cage looking like your gassed and doing nothing, isn't enough to take it. The fight was Fedor's all along

The judges gave Fedor the first round dude. go follow up on your MMA. you don't get points for making your opponent bleed. the "some solid head-shots" pretty much covered all that Brett did in 5 minutes. Fedor dropped him with strikes, took him down 3 times and had 3 submission attempts. Fedor was the aggressor not Brett.

He was fighting a guy who KTFO Andrei Arlovski, a Ex-UFC champ who Dana wanted to extend his UFC contract who was also ranked in the top 10 who has years of experience under his belt who is also trained by the best boxing coach, Freddie Roach. Enough said. Brett Rogers was 10-0 finishing all his opponents under 1st round. I can trained 30 years and still would lose to Brett because Brett is a monster. He's ranked #6 on sherdog for a reason.
