I only found there was a musical for LOTR yesterday, and this is simply one of the most beautiful pieces of song I ever heard. Totally true in tone and word to Frodo and Sam's friendship.
I looked everywhere for this song after I'd seen the musical and it never occured to me to check youtube... So I finally found it and eventhough I didn't even remember what it sounded like, I love it again!
tis song reminds me of all the friends i have and have had. i miss them soo much :( this song can either make me burst into tears or smile the biggest smile :D
James Loye was the original Frodo (in both Toronto and London), and James Byng was his understudy. I believe he eventually took over for Loye, but I could be wrong. You might want to check Wikipedia.

This should be Frodo & Sam's theme song. Such a beautiful friendship.

Of all the wonderful characters in these stories, Samwise is my favorite. He's so kind and loyal and brave and sweet, he makes me cry in his purity.

Best song in the show... shame the show was rushed, and the music wasn't as expected.

Yes, this is the version shown in London. I saw it in late June/early July, and it's the same people, believe me.
