But seriously, the government should provide a prominent website where Australians can vote for policies, comment, and raise issues. A thousand LIKES on a suggestion should be raised to 'issue status' by parliament administrators. Each area's population should raise the value of a person's vote if they are from a low population electorate. All ages should get a say, not just 18+
@ImmortalDust Driver licence number and password would be sufficient ID for drivers, and a vote card could be obtained by anyone else, based on birth certificate. This website could be set up within one month. Then we would all know precisely what people want. Not that people are all intelligent, but it would be a good guide. Any referendums could be completed within 24 hours or less.
And this is about the mentaltiy of it all. I can't believe they act like little kids in a class room. Were lead by a bunch of children that never grew up. It wouldn't suprise me if they threw spit bombs at one an other. Our Parlament is a total embarasment. Now and then one has to go sit in the corner. Its real 2nd year high school all over again.
