@luda26 It is. If you already own a previous version of Reason, then you get a free upgrade to Reason 6. If you don't, you can upgrade Reason Essentials to Reason 6 using the Reason 6 upgrade box. We sell it through our online shop or your local retailer would have it also.

@VvRushvV I think many are incorrectly subtracting the cost of Reason Essentials standalone to arrive at the price they think Balance should be. That's not how it works. @superheaton Absolutely. Reason Essentials supports all of those and more. And on the flip side, Balance also works with all other software too. They aren't exclusively tied to each other. You can use Essentials with any interface and Balance with any software.
@PropellerheadSW So just to clarifty (before i go spend £340 on this) it will work with Cubase6 and Guitar rig 5? Im looking for a new interface and well lets be honest this thing is beautiful
can i ask what instruments does reason essentials have and what is the difference between the Full version of reason and the educational student version ? also can you purchase the interface seperate ?
@MrVirtigoDubstep Reason Essentials has Subtractor, Redrum, NN-XT, ID-8, and Octorex. There are no differences between the academic version of Reason 6 and the full version apart from the price. And no, Balance is sold with Essentials as a package.
@PropellerheadSW I was led to believe that you were not aloud to use it for releasing tracks and studio production is it just a cheaper way of buying the full version for students and is the same as the full version then ?
Im on about purchasing thats all just making sure that i can do everything that id be able to do on the full version of reason with no limitations :)
@MrVirtigoDubstep Full version. No restrictions. It's just nicer pricing for students on a budget. If there is any catch, I guess it would be that we don't have academic pricing for the upgrades so when you want the new version down the road, you'd pay full upgrade price but that's also already a major discount off the full version too.
@PropellerheadSW Im just looking now which one should i get the Student/Teacher version or educational version as i know that one of them you cant register as an individual and you cant upgrade the software when the new one comes out ?
@MrVirtigoDubstep That's right. You want the student/teacher edition. It's all explained on our website. @PropellerheadSW Reason balance just came 2day , my head is totally battered :(
Could really do with a full tutorial video or if you know of a good one please ?? I thought kong was included but cant find it and how do i control all the instruments ?? sorry for being dumb , i knew it would take some learning but i dont know where to start . An instructional manual would of been nice for £340 or even a piece of paper explaining how to make a simple song for a rough idea .
@tabulaerasae82 There is a multi-hundred page manual included in the documentation folder of the Program. There are also a bunch of video tutorials on Reason Essentials that are accessible through the software. If you go to Help menu and choose "Tutorials on the Propellerhead Website..." Kong is not included in Reason Essentials but it is in Reason 6, obviously. Good luck!
@PropellerheadSW thanks , im getting settled in :) its awesome . Any ideas why i keep getting breaks in sound through the balance interface ? its like little pauses and quite annoying . Thanks
Thumbs up if you just want to buy the Balance and not have to spend money on a program that you all ready have or just don't want.
" imagine how stoked you could make someone by gifting them Reason Essentials if you don't want it" Why the heck would I give something away that I bought? At that point why don't I just give someone 200 dollars in cash. Do you people think I am re-tarted?
@CharlotteBassPlayer I also suggested you could sell it on Ebay in that comment. it's a separate license capable of being sold. I also said that you get a free upgrade to v6. I think those are both cool. In fact, to use your logic, the Reason 6 upgrade is like giving you 169 dollars in cash and by giving you a Reason Essentials license to sell you're getting 250 dollars in cash. Which means... following your logic, that Reason owners are only spending a net of about 60 bucks for Balance! Whoah!
@bobkat321 I don't understand your question, probably. If you own Reason already there is a free upgrade to Reason 6. If you don't own Reason already, there is a highly discounted upgrade to Reason 6 from Balance with Reason Essentials. There is not "packed" version of Balance with Reason 6 but the upgrade path is certainly there.
@PropellerheadSW I had no reason software so i bought reason 6 now you are telling me to buy balance with reason essentials for 449? why cant I just buy balance it doesnt make sense. Reson essentials is useless when I already have reason 6.
Can you buy balance alone? According to the website I have to spend 500 dollars on reason essentials to get the balance. While I do get an upgrade from 5 to 6, I now have an extra program I don't want. I just want to to buy an upgrade and get the balance. Can I do that without having to buy the reason essentials?
@CharlotteBassPlayer We only sell Balance as a package with Reason Essentials but since you get a completely free upgrade to Reason 6 anyway, you can either see it as a Balance + Reason 6 package or imagine how stoked you could make someone by gifting them Reason Essentials if you don't want it. You could give it to a collaborator friend so they could send you ideas you could open and continue in Reason. If not that, there's always ebay for essentials I guess.
@bobkat321 I have the same question. I already have Reason 6 but I want to use the Balance interface. Is that possible? Or do I have to have essential to use that intercace?
Another major blunder seems to be that the input level controls on the device cannot fully attenuate the input signal - in other words, they don't start at 0. This means, if you've got a guitar with high output, and maybe then going through a wah-wah pedal, you may not be able to prevent clipping.
@HappySpaceInvdr I'm not sure what you mean exactly but the inputs have pad buttons on the back for high output signals. As to your other issues, please contact out support guys because they're experts at helping people. The meter/tuner thing is not normal and may be a problem. As for set up in Reason, it works the same as any other sound card so there's no specific documentation necessary explaining Balance setup. I'm sure we can help you if you contact us via our website's support page.
And, as far as I've got, I'm finding the integration to be buggy too. For example, the Meter/Tuner window flickers for a fraction of a second, but doesn't stay on screen so you can use it. Very disappointed.
Just got Balance this morning in the post. The documentation is completely confusing and I'm struggling to get a sound through my speakers (inputs are lighting up, but output are dead). There's documentation for Reason Essentials, but it barely mentions Balance. Then there's documentation for Balance which doesn't tell you how to set it up in Reason.
So lets say that you have reason and record, and you plan to upgrade using the special offer on a student budget. (if i could i would give you guys more money. You guys changed my life seriously.) do i still have to buy reason essentials with balance just to get balance. I am looking to upgrade my sound card, and balance is still i big upgrade from my old sound card.
If you made reason a full blown DAW I would use it more, if not all of the time. Having access to other VST's is a must these days. I would also like to be able to use other programs inside reason for tweaking the sounds without exporting them, exporting gets old... Back and forth, back and forth, just make this all work in reason.
Looks nice for people who need it. My workflow however is very different. As an Ambient/Experimental musician I'm rather using Reason for sound design as it offers the best mix between working with VST instruments and more advanced systems like Max MSP (which I also like a lot). My feature request: Please offer some kind of API access like Ableton did with Max4Live - that would be totally awesome.
Hello. This might be stupid question for you but can you please tell me will I need pair of stereo instrument cables to record my digital piano with Balance? Or normal instrument cables will do? As Balance have two stereo pairs of ins I am wondering which cables to use...Normal or stereo cables to get good result.
@jaycobtv Balance will work in everything. In Reason 6 or Reason Essentials you get the added bonus of the Clip Safe feature and bringing up the large meter/tuner from the button on Balance. But otherwise, it works on everything - all DAWs on down to iTunes and your computer system audio.
I'm a Reason 5/Record user. Balance seems like a great addition, and I'm really excited about it, but Reason 6 doesn't seem to have anything that I need. I feel like you're forcing me to pay extra money for software I don't want.
@nmalitz But if it doesn't have anything you want, don't upgrade. We're not forcing anything because it's your choice to upgrade when you feel the features are worth it for you. We obviously think it has cool features. That's why we're releasing it and proud of it but Reason 5 and Record 1.5 will continue to serve you well even though Reason 6 comes out.
@PropellerheadSW Thank you for your quick reply. What I meant was that I'd be happy to pay for Balance alone. However, correct me if I'm wrong here, it seems as though Balance will only be available to those who upgrade to Reason 6, or buy a Reason-Essentials/Balance package. Was the decision to sell Balance only with Reason 6/Essentials a logistical issue (the hardware won't work with previous versions of the software), or was the decision a more business oriented one?
@nmalitz I see. The decision was to sell Balance and Reason Essentials as a package. I wasn't part of that decision making so I can't really speak to the reasons behind it but Balance will work with previous versions of Reason as well as any other audio app. Features like ClipSafe, however, are only new to Reason 6 and Essentials. If you are a Reason 5 user, however, buying Balance would give you a free upgrade to Reason 6 so that cost would be $0.
@PropellerheadSW Thank you again for the quick response. Do you know what Propellerhead's suggested price will be for Reason 5 users to purchase Balance?
@nmalitz It's the same package you'd buy. You'd be buying the box labeled "Balance with Reason Essentials" but you'd qualify for a free upgrade to Reason 6 as a current Reason user. Suggested retail price for that box is different around the world for different currencies. In the US I think it's $499.
2. USB at lower latency settings has a long history of crackling, cracking up, crashing when projects get larger... how much can this card handle compared with other USB interfaces in the same price range?
How would it compare to say an entry level Firewire card like the Pro24 DSP from Focusrite?
1. It works with any audio app. ClipSafe and the meter/tuner buttons are functions that integrate with our software only. All the other stuff works with anything from other DAWs to basic stuff like system sound settings.
2. Our beta testers are very happy with the latency. They've been trying to push it to see where it gives and have been surprised with how much heavy lifting it does.
3. We'll let reviewers and testers compare but we're very proud of it's quality/performance.
ok, I'm sure you're getting bored with this question, but just to clarify - I am a Reason 5/Record user (upgraded from Reason 4) - what's the deal with getting the Controller and the 6 upgrade and I'm assuming it makes my Record/5 igntion key redundant. Sorry if this is repetition :) Really looking forward to the Alligator for some nice progressive padding work :)
@aroflex11 As simple as I can put it: Buy Balance/Essentials package = Free upgrade to Reason 6 for you as a Reason 5/Record 1.5 user. I'm not exactly sure what becomes of your ignition key. Balance is an ignition key itself so you don't need to have your current key plugged in. Closer to release we'll have all the details related to upgraders like yourself. I think they're working out the details right now in the office.
I'm confused here, Balance comes with Reason Essentials only right? Essentials is a stripped down version of Reason. So if I want this interface + the full Reason I have to buy Reason Essentials with Balance and Reason 6?
@jr92503 If you're already a Reason User, you'll get a free upgrade to Reason 6 with Balance. If you're not a Reason user of any kind yet, you can upgrade to R6 for a reduced price instead of buying it full. You definitely don't have to buy both a full retail price. Thanks.
@rsm2312 Balance has the ignition key built into it so there's no other dongle. And it's safe to say this isn't the last hardware/software integration we do. :)
thank you for making this. you are solving my problems. i'm so sick of all the different interfaces and recording software... i just want to make music. i already know reason so this will be a huge relief for me. THANK YOU.
@harrynben Thor is a very advanced synth with tons of oscillator types, a modulation matrix, multiple filter types, and advanced routing possibilities - not to mention the step sequencer, etc. It is a very tweaky synth... very powerful... very awesome... but not ESSENTIAL which is the goal of Reason Essentials. We wanted a package of devices that help you make music and capture your ideas. But it sounds like you have and love Thor so Reason 6 would be your upgrade path, not Essentials anyway.
@TheOriginalCreeper The suggested list price is $499 US. Not sure what the actual street price will end up being because that's down to the retailers to decide. But usually something less than that.
@PropellerheadSW if you have reason 5 and record 1.5 duo whats the discount of buying Balance if thats possible and you buy balance will u get reason 6 as a upgrade aswell
@PropellerheadSW Hi, I have Record 1.5 and Reason 5, will I get a free upgrade or I have to pay $99 USD for it? I've had mine since last year. Thanks.
@nfaguade It's actually on our SoundCloud page in full if you want to hear it. Youtube comments don't let me post links but if you go to soundcloud slash propellerhead and then add mattias-tegn-r-i-walk-away, you'll hear it. Here's a little piece of trivia too: All the music in that song is actually a collage of performances by the people who appear in the "I Am a Reason User" video we did. They all recorded little pieces of music which were then combined and edited to form this song.
This isn't anything I need, being that I'm not in need of a new interface, but the industrial design and ergonomics of the Balance unit looks fantastic. I wonder what it sounds like. Good job on the aesthetics though!
shiit u guys need more hardware u should look at making a midi controller slash drum machine slash sampler next its all about progression taking it to the next level smell me long live propellerhead peace
The true price of this audio interface should be $150-$200. That's the price that existing Reason/Record owners should be paying. Add to that $99 for the Reason 6 upgrade. Reason Essentials should not have to be bundled with it for existing users.
@ASB259 Clip safe is a feature of and a function of Balance. It is enabled through a button on Balance and uses the circuitry inside Balance to work so it will only be possible to record clip-safe takes through Balance. Thanks for asking.
And also, i would like to praise James Bernard of your company. My Production skills and DJ skills have increased dramatically because of his 52 Reason/Record tips videos, and his wise words. Please could you send him mine and probably many other watchers of his videos suggestion of doing more of his 52 tips vids; they gave me serious amounts of inspiration in my music and most likely many others productions. Oh and kudos on being the best. Thank you
You guys are not making this clear at all. If Balance is not sold separately but with Reason Essentials which Reason+Record users dont need, then...whats the point? Your site puts Balance with Reason Essentials at $499.... O_o what? Thats like buying a half baked Reason package for the Full price of Reason...Really? How is that deal better than the Reason upgrade for Reason users at $99? Please explain cos as much as i want 'Balance' i aint shelling out $499
I saw that reason 6 has the interface.....what if I already have a interface...I use a saffire 6 usb device...with reason 5.....If I already have a interface will that work wirh reason 6.....
@betatestersrule08 Whatever interface you used with Reason 5 will work with Reason 6. The mixer is the same as the one used in Record. I use it. So i can assure you it will work.
Will Balance be available minus the software (for previous reason/ record users)? What will the price for that be? Also will the free upgrade to reason 6 be available to previous reason/ record users who just buy the hardware?
@skilla4hire Balance is being sold with Reason Essentials only, not as a separate hardware-only package. However, current owners of Reason will get an upgrade to Reason 6 free if they get Balance.
Very exciting! Very curious how the sound is compared to the avid mbox mini 3 or the Duet.. Thinking of upgrading to eithet the latter two but saw think and am very interested if I should wait.
another question , should I assume the reason essential does not include the "live sampling" feature of reason 5 ? No mention about it in the website.
propellerheads is like the apple of music software imo...
Music software has come a long way.... Back in the 90s, when i was trying to make music with the software of the day I'd get so frustrated - within 3 to 5 minutes that i walked away from it - it made me hate the process because things didn't work like i wanted it to. You could hear the creativity being sucked away.
Propellerhead, you've done it again! I have been using Reason for at least 10 years, and it just gets better and better. I'm probably only even using 1/16th of what it can do as a recording musician, but I love love love it. I just bought Reason 5 last year and that Thor synth man, whooph! Killer! Can't wait for this bundle in Sept. AND every engineer/mixer I work with is always impressed with my arrangements. Why? Because I use Reason!!! xoxo
if you dont own reason or record, do you get a discount if you buy this hardware for upgrading to reason ? just like Ableton Live Lite i mean. Also how much this audio interface going to cost ?
@thekilon Yes if you don't own Reason or Record, you'll get a discount if you want to upgrade from Reason Essentials (which comes with Balance) up to Reason 6. If you DO own Reason/Record and you buy Balance, you'll get a free upgrade to Reason 6. Balance/Essentials will go out for a suggested retail price of 499, but I'm not sure what that means for street price.
@PropellerheadSW WOW that sounds great, I am now very motivated buying this. You may want to tell the website maintainer to post this information I am sure there loads of people out there that dont own any P's products and would like to upgrade to REASON 6 after buying this interface. I am surprised its not mentioned in the website at least I was not able to find it. Price seem reasonable too (pun intended) for Balance. Well done P , you surprised us once more with good quality product.
It had everything I was curious to know about the interface itself (and now the comments cleared the upgrade issue. Free R6 for Reason/Record users buying Balance, that's what one would expect from Props ^^
@Koshdukai You'll be happy to know that Olivia has provided her song (Like Snow) as a free download on her site today in celebration of today's announcement. Head over to oliviabroadfield [dot] com!
@eerereps If you were to compare this interface to other interfaces and wondering what is different, I'd say there's a few feature differences... one major one is clip safe, a technology we have in our interface that means tracks recorded in Reason can be fixed if they clip and brought back from the distortion zone. The connectors on the back are pretty cool too. By providing multiple inputs, the 2in/2out interface can still handle all your gear being plugged in instead of swapping cables.
hey guys you know wen we getting some new synths please lol,, but how is the sound quality of interface sound going in and sound comin out monitors? and can you use with other programs?. been a reason user since version 3, but i would like to see more synths please, and recycle integrated and to be able to drag a wave or mp3 right off the desktop right into the sequencer for chopping that would make reason a competition killer hands down
@PropellerheadSW but will there be a significant improvement concerning the ease of mixing vocals, or will we be trading one hard to use interface for another?
@nmalitz Not sure what you mean by the question. Interfaces are using during the recording of vocals, not the mixing of them. One thing is for certain, though. This is certainly not a hard to use interface. It's about as intuitive and simple to use as you can imagine. There's no separate driver to install, no control panel, preferences, no settings buried somewhere weird. Just plug it in, hook up your gear, and go for it.

Thumbs up people!!!!
CharlotteBassPlayer 4 months ago
@CharlotteBassPlayer I also suggested you could sell it on Ebay in that comment. it's a separate license capable of being sold. I also said that you get a free upgrade to v6. I think those are both cool. In fact, to use your logic, the Reason 6 upgrade is like giving you 169 dollars in cash and by giving you a Reason Essentials license to sell you're getting 250 dollars in cash. Which means... following your logic, that Reason owners are only spending a net of about 60 bucks for Balance! Whoah!

Can you get Reason 6 packed with Balance,
the full version, not essentials.
bobkat321 5 months ago
@bobkat321 I don't understand your question, probably. If you own Reason already there is a free upgrade to Reason 6. If you don't own Reason already, there is a highly discounted upgrade to Reason 6 from Balance with Reason Essentials. There is not "packed" version of Balance with Reason 6 but the upgrade path is certainly there.
PropellerheadSW 5 months ago
@PropellerheadSW I had no reason software so i bought reason 6 now you are telling me to buy balance with reason essentials for 449? why cant I just buy balance it doesnt make sense. Reson essentials is useless when I already have reason 6.
lanreisnotw 4 months ago
i only have Balance and Reason Essentials.
can i upgrade it to reason 6 or do i have to buy the full version?
TheAdriaanP 5 months ago
Can i get Balance separately & use with Reason 6,
or is there a upgrade for Reason 6?
bobkat321 5 months ago
@bobkat321 If you already own any version of Reason, there is a free upgrade to Reason 6 for people getting Balance.
PropellerheadSW 5 months ago
@PropellerheadSW
CharlotteBassPlayer 5 months ago
@CharlotteBassPlayer We only sell Balance as a package with Reason Essentials but since you get a completely free upgrade to Reason 6 anyway, you can either see it as a Balance + Reason 6 package or imagine how stoked you could make someone by gifting them Reason Essentials if you don't want it. You could give it to a collaborator friend so they could send you ideas you could open and continue in Reason. If not that, there's always ebay for essentials I guess.
PropellerheadSW 4 months ago
@bobkat321 I have the same question. I already have Reason 6 but I want to use the Balance interface. Is that possible? Or do I have to have essential to use that intercace?
MrCbolden 4 months ago
Another major blunder seems to be that the input level controls on the device cannot fully attenuate the input signal - in other words, they don't start at 0. This means, if you've got a guitar with high output, and maybe then going through a wah-wah pedal, you may not be able to prevent clipping.
HappySpaceInvdr 5 months ago
@HappySpaceInvdr I'm not sure what you mean exactly but the inputs have pad buttons on the back for high output signals. As to your other issues, please contact out support guys because they're experts at helping people. The meter/tuner thing is not normal and may be a problem. As for set up in Reason, it works the same as any other sound card so there's no specific documentation necessary explaining Balance setup. I'm sure we can help you if you contact us via our website's support page.
PropellerheadSW 5 months ago
And, as far as I've got, I'm finding the integration to be buggy too. For example, the Meter/Tuner window flickers for a fraction of a second, but doesn't stay on screen so you can use it. Very disappointed.
HappySpaceInvdr 5 months ago

WestChiLo 5 months ago

And one more thing: what type of ins Balance have - balanced or unbalanced? It has balanced main outputs but what about ins?
Kind Regards and Thanks
Benton7395 5 months ago
@Benton7395 Balanced inputs. 1/4" TRS jacks. It would be kinda weird if "Balance" used unbalanced inputs, right? :P
PropellerheadSW 5 months ago 5
Hello. This might be stupid question for you but can you please tell me will I need pair of stereo instrument cables to record my digital piano with Balance? Or normal instrument cables will do? Thank you very much

I feel like you're forcing me to pay extra money for software I don't want.
nmalitz 7 months ago
@nmalitz But if it doesn't have anything you want, don't upgrade. We're not forcing anything because it's your choice to upgrade when you feel the features are worth it for you. We obviously think it has cool features. That's why we're releasing it and proud of it but Reason 5 and Record 1.5 will continue to serve you well even though Reason 6 comes out.
PropellerheadSW 7 months ago
@PropellerheadSW Thank you for your quick reply. What I meant was that I'd be happy to pay for Balance alone. However, correct me if I'm wrong here, it seems as though Balance will only be available to those who upgrade to Reason 6, or buy a Reason-Essentials/Balance package. Was the decision to sell Balance only with Reason 6/Essentials a logistical issue (the hardware won't work with previous versions of the software), or was the decision a more business oriented one?
nmalitz 7 months ago
@nmalitz I see. The decision was to sell Balance and Reason Essentials as a package. I wasn't part of that decision making so I can't really speak to the reasons behind it but Balance will work with previous versions of Reason as well as any other audio app. Features like ClipSafe, however, are only new to Reason 6 and Essentials. If you are a Reason 5 user, however, buying Balance would give you a free upgrade to Reason 6 so that cost would be $0.
PropellerheadSW 7 months ago
@PropellerheadSW Thank you again for the quick response. Do you know what Propellerhead's suggested price will be for Reason 5 users to purchase Balance?
nmalitz 7 months ago
@nmalitz It's the same package you'd buy. You'd be buying the box labeled "Balance with Reason Essentials" but you'd qualify for a free upgrade to Reason 6 as a current Reason user. Suggested retail price for that box is different around the world for different currencies. In the US I think it's $499.
PropellerheadSW 7 months ago
@PropellerheadSW Thank you very much for all of your help.
nmalitz 7 months ago
@PropellerheadSW In addition, if I want to buy Balance and upgrade to Reason 6, how much will that cost?
nmalitz 7 months ago
1. Can I use the Audio interface with other apps?
2. USB at lower latency settings has a long history of crackling, cracking up, crashing when projects get larger... how much can this card handle compared with other USB interfaces in the same price range?
How would it compare to say an entry level Firewire card like the Pro24 DSP from Focusrite?
Cheers, all looks wonderful
vStylerJohnG 7 months ago
@PropellerheadSW
not so impressed with the Lily Allen wannabe clone. :|
vStylerJohnG 7 months ago
@vStylerJohnG

Sorry if this is repetition :) Really looking forward to the Alligator for some nice progressive padding work :)
aroflex11 7 months ago
@aroflex11 As simple as I can put it: Buy Balance/Essentials package = Free upgrade to Reason 6 for you as a Reason 5/Record 1.5 user. I'm not exactly sure what becomes of your ignition key. Balance is an ignition key itself so you don't need to have your current key plugged in. Closer to release we'll have all the details related to upgraders like yourself. I think they're working out the details right now in the office.

I'm confused here, Balance comes with Reason Essentials only right? Essentials is a stripped down version of Reason. So if I want this interface + the full Reason I have to buy Reason Essentials with Balance and Reason 6?
jr92503 7 months ago
@jr92503 If you're already a Reason User, you'll get a free upgrade to Reason 6 with Balance. If you're not a Reason user of any kind yet, you can upgrade to R6 for a reduced price instead of buying it full. You definitely don't have to buy both a full retail price. Thanks.

Theres no Thor!??
harrynben 7 months ago
@harrynben Thor is a very advanced synth with tons of oscillator types, a modulation matrix, multiple filter types, and advanced routing possibilities - not to mention the step sequencer, etc. It is a very tweaky synth... very powerful... very awesome... but not ESSENTIAL which is the goal of Reason Essentials. We wanted a package of devices that help you make music and capture your ideas. But it sounds like you have and love Thor so Reason 6 would be your upgrade path, not Essentials anyway.

Here's a little piece of trivia too: All the music in that song is actually a collage of performances by the people who appear in the "I Am a Reason User" video we did. They all recorded little pieces of music which were then combined and edited to form this song.

The true price of this audio interface should be $150-$200. That's the price that existing Reason/Record owners should be paying. Add to that $99 for the Reason 6 upgrade. Reason Essentials should not have to be bundled with it for existing users.

Music software has come a long way.... ... but is this device really necessary or just marketing? - what is so special? or different from the other audio interfaces out there?
eerereps 8 months ago
@eerereps If you were to compare this interface to other interfaces and wondering what is different, I'd say there's a few feature differences... one major one is clip safe, a technology we have in our interface that means tracks recorded in Reason can be fixed if they clip and brought back from the distortion zone. The connectors on the back are pretty cool too. By providing multiple inputs, the 2in/2out interface can still handle all your gear being plugged in instead of swapping cables.
PropellerheadSW 8 months ago 2
hey guys you know wen we getting some new synths please lol,, but how is the sound quality of interface sound going in and sound comin out monitors? and can you use with other programs?. been a reason user since version 3, but i would like to see more synths please, and recycle integrated and to be able to drag a wave or mp3 right off the desktop right into the sequencer for chopping that would make reason a competition killer hands down

@PropellerheadSW but will there be a significant improvement concerning the ease of mixing vocals, or will we be trading one hard to use interface for another?
nmalitz 7 months ago
@nmalitz Not sure what you mean by the question. Interfaces are using during the recording of vocals, not the mixing of them. One thing is for certain, though. This is certainly not a hard to use interface. It's about as intuitive and simple to use as you can imagine. There's no separate driver to install, no control panel, preferences, no settings buried somewhere weird. Just plug it in, hook up your gear, and go for it.
