auto-tune is for people who cant sing. this is real voice and it doesnt get any better then this. 70's, 60's and the 50's paved the way for what music is today. this songs beauty just flows through you like your there with led zeppelin in the studio. nuff said.
@WigTuts your question is wrong on so many levels it`s almost impossible for me to answer it using 500characters ..so instead me explaining `why` maybe you should try to think and figure it out yourself :p or just ask yourself what did the 60`s,70`s & 80`s have that we don`t have now..and why?..just imagine a world without Pitbull..JB even Kim Kardashian is a singer today
How is it wrong on so many levels? You're basically saying there should only be a select few of individuals who can play instruments. I think what you mean instead is that anyone can be a 'popular' musician nowadays, which I agree with. However, the 60/70/80's all had their fair share of terrible artists who somehow managed to sell records, it isn't a new thing this past decade.
@WigTuts well you do have a point..but how many singers stripped it their videos then and wore crazy outfits in the 60`s-80`s just to get attention and how many do now?I feel that many of the singers today are half naked and just look ridiculous..they`re not musicians cause they love music, but because they love the money more then themselves :p most of them don`t even sing..many popular songs have an audio tune
Quite a lot, in fact even Robert Plant (and other members) used to not wear any upper clothing whilst playing live. For dressing up crazy? What about glam rock? That entire genre had a basis around dressing up crazy and not wearing much at all. Also, how can you know musicians from x to y didn't do it purely for money? I agree about auto-tune, but remember that if it had existed back then artists may have used it as easily. Artists before this decade weren't perfect, you know.
@WigTuts true, but that`s rock and roll..the sweat like crazy..lady gaga barely dances in music videos but wears a bikini 2 sizes too small :p..glam rock did dress crazy but it was still wearable..mostly just the pattern was over the top..ex. lady gaga wears ridiculous outfits just to be in the center of attention..it`s not about the music anymore, it`s about the appearance=publicity. Auto-tune is not that bad but mostly it`s used on the entire song & almost every song..2 much is 2 much
@WigTuts Its not bad that anyone can be a musician, but it is bad that anyone can make complete crap and get popular. Back in the 60s to about the mid 90s you had to possess talent to be a popular musician.
@27thepusher Right-on. Now, its all about which media monopoly has the most talented jew accountants/media prostitutes to track-down some little bitch or pre-pubescent moron to whore themselves out for a few years, in order to make cash for these soul-less zombie companies. Their images are forced down the throat of the public in constant media attacks: brainwashing children into believing these are artists and have a marketable talent of some sort. Popular?: by brainwashing only.
@VikingRaider Exactly. And it amazes me how some adults actually listen to lame pop music now. Complete crap like lady gaga and so on. But when you go to Europe, they can't stand lady gaga and the American pop industry. They still love rock. They understand talent and hard work in music. They have a smarter mentality. I wish America was still in that state of mind. But you just have to look in the underground, because there are still a lot of good rock bands these days.
@27thepusher Thats cool, man. I'm am actually getting into "surf" Rock and Rockabilly. My guitar instructor informed me that the market for those types of bands are much bigger and open in Europe. Makes me want to pack up and head across the pond to good ol' Britian.
