  • Thay say that this train rolls through Selma, North Carolina around 8 or 8:30 in the moring on saterdays but I havn't seen it.

  • They can be difficult to time. Sometimes early, sometimes late. xD

  • GEVO is a contraction of 'General Electric Evolution', the model designation of the locomotive.

  • Yeah, the GEVOs do sound quite nice under load--their redeeming characteristic. xD Yes, all of the Tropicana cars are refrigerated. The older (orange) cars have the refrigeration units mounted under the frame.

  • I saw a AC44CW with this same horn but sadly no camera. Broken. It had a bad meeting with the ground while i was filming so im currently saving up for a new one

  • I too have been seeing this (supposedly GEVO-only) horn now popping up on a few AC44's. I guess CSX is replacing old/broken horns with these. That sucks about your camera! Is there no way to fix it?

  • it was a really long one too. REALLY long.

  • They are usually about 50 cars...this one was really short. XD

  • i didnt really see because it was at the last moment at the end but im guessing that it was two ES40DC's but for some reason it had an SD70ACe at the back and an surprisingly an SD80MAC. O_O I ALMOST DIED!!! LOL

  • Holy crap SD80MAC?! I want to catch one of those SOOO BAD

  • i saw one near lakeland off of I-4 a cuple weeks ago! :D

  • Nice, what did it have for power?

  • what kind of horn is on the 5292?

  • I BELIEVE it is a Nathan K3LA. Could be wrong.

  • Whoa! At 1:30; those longer, refrigerated cars must be something special. I've never seen a train box car with what looks like an external semi-trailer reefer before. I know they have refrigerated boxcars, but not with that kind of reefer...

  • I hadn't seen those before, either, very interesting. I also wonder how old those Tropicana cars are that have the refrigerator unit mounted on the undercarriage.

  • @SpeakerPolice You mean the off color (non-white) ones?

  • Yes, those ones, with the 'Tropic-Ana' logos on some of them. I think they were orange at one time. xD

  • Wow that's a lot of Tropicana cars. Big tri-axle engines, too.

  • Oh, there's your comment, LOL.
