  • stacking level: CHUCK NORRIS

  • I hate those fucking time deadlines... Always shitting me. But you are a GOD.

  • That monster... (あの化け物だ...)

  • what's up with chainlink mode at 3:56? tricky!

nes tetris is still harder than this one, as this one only seems to force one to adapt their play around the 'lockdown' time or whatever you want to call it.

  • Ten times slower and you have my speed

    lol

  • I dont know about you guys but i dont find this as satisfying to watch when the player is in survival/ marathon mode and the computer is dropping the pieces automatically. it's a totally different game to when you have to manually hard-drop the tetrominos still, props to the pace of this guy, he's playing so fast i can barely keep track of him.

  • pajitnov would have a heart attack if he saw this

  • the highest i can play is 20g, i can get a few points in death mode but im the best in 20g

  • Wow. And people still think aliens built the pyramids. Humans are capable of more than people care to think.

  • Insane :D

  • This is not human.who are you ppl?

  • There Asians!

  • OMG!!!!!!!!!!

  • thats a good way to get a siezure i had 3 while watching this

  • bravo maestro =]

  • Don't bother with the nonbelievers kotetsu.

this guy's stacking efficiency is highly amazing. I do agree that the addition of features such as holding and t-spins, really add a whole new depth to the game. I just can't believe how much of a difference colored blocks man though, the non colored blocks after lvl 1000, i can barely follow it.

  • He's only good because he has extra stuff. I do give him props for moving that damn fast. But I bet a million dollars he cant do that on a console controler via xbox or something like that. not possible.

  • so what are you saying? He's "only" good because he has the extra previews and hold? Those ADD depth to the game, and are almost REQUIRED to be able to play that fast. Also he is using an arcade stick (it's an arcade game) which is >>>>>>> X-Box controller

  • You wanna bet? :p And the xbox arcade stick really doesnt' count. Youd have to buy that extra :/ And i'm not sure what form of lockdown he has. Is it standard? Infinite? classic? looks to me like they added some xtra time for lockdown. Still he deserves credit for actually practicing that much to get that good.

  • proof for what? And I didn't say "X-Box arcade stick", maybe you thought I mean XBLA, no, it's an ARCADE GAME, it's never been released on console. And the lockdown time is very short before the piece locks, and you can not increase it unless you make the piece drop down lower.

  • IMMPOSSIBLE!!!!! Played by a Computer Program!!

  • uh, no

  • Then lemme see the proof. :p

  • watch?v=jwC544Z37qo

    watch this video

  • muck fee!!

    i bet he's in i.t.

    lol.

  • That... That's amazing.

  • ??? That's not possible. How can he see what stone is next and in the same time aims it????? I dunno... I honestly doubt that this kind of speed with such a high accuracy is physically or mentally possible.

  • You just saw the video, it is possible, I can do it, but this guy has the skill and consistency to keep it up for 5 minutes straight.

  • You massively underestimate the ability of the human brain.

  • At a certain point at getting good at tetris you dont have to look at the board as much as you might think, you have an image in your head of what it is from where you aimed it and you can use somewhat peripheral vision to look at both the next piece and the top face of the board. Its hard but he has spent enough time.

  • funny thing is that you've said that isn't me playing more than anything else. lol

  • "that isn't me playing" hehe guess i didn't read carefully enough. thanks for posting it anyway.

  • I will never...ever...ever consider myself even SLIGHTLY skilled at puzzle games of any way, shape, or form, ever again. Especially Tetris games.

    That's...inhuman. Borderline godhood...

  • godhood? you mean godlike lol. but yeah i agree i can't even play tetris. that's why i stick to fps.

  • Either way, yeah, god-something, anyway. I have refused to touch Tetris since I saw this video. @_@; Aiya!

  • Guess again. God would have to be maintaining the balance for everything in existance at once. You stack every tetris game ever played into a single second and it wouldn't compare to what God is doing lol.

  • Thanks for taking things too literally; would you like a smiley face sticker? u_u;

  • Well, I just think people need to create some sorta intermediary. Then again, as they would mean it... it probably fits. The ones who truly mean it are just ignorant of that type of power anyway. But oh well, we've used it so long... might as well keep doing it right? All the better when the overshadowing reality comes to pass. (wtf right?) lol

  • I see your point. I do. Sorry about my little remark. >.>; I think I initially misinterpreted your intent. My bad.

As for my particular intent, I was refering to mythology. Y'know, like the Greek gods, which were each supposedly really good at like, exactly one thing.

  • Well my point wasn't really to criticism. I just think some people fail to realize the unfathomable power of "all-powerful." Still, those Tetris skills were pretty impressive. My mind would barely analyze the preview piece let alone the layout of the stack. I can see how I could improve though. I wonder how we could utilize such skill?

  • damn typos lol... I'm typing without my contacts in and I'm tired.. I wish we could edit our posts before new replies were made.

  • Seconded. YouTube's comment system FTL, eh? x_x; Aiya. But anyway, back on topic.

I agree on both points - about "all-powerful", and about the skills being impressive. Hence why I'll never consider myself any good at Tetris ever again. xD How 'bout you? XD?

  • Oh I was good as in "better than everyone else on the bus in middle school." But, umm... compared to this I am nothing. By the way, middle school was 93 to 95. Back when we had gameboy links and stuff.

  • Hahahaha. That's a good one. God. :')

  • well then who was

  • video i meant video

  • Even if my life were dedicated to this game i could never play that fast and im glad that timer is there on the bottom or i would of just said that you sped up the game

  • THAT ISN'T ME PLAYING

  • For one this is faster than other grandmaster tetris videos I've seen on top of that, it's done nice and neat.

  • this is insane kudos to the player

  • this gives me the urge to practice

  • very nice kotetsu, you play faster than i can think

  • that isn't me playing

  • I want MAME that works with this!

    Unbelievable feat!

  • I don't even want to know what kind of time had to be spent to get that good.

  • Whover played this must have ninja reflexes. My own Tetris-fu is strong, but nowhere near this level.

    /salute for respect

  • hell... thats insane! :)

  • I have a feeling this is a Tool-Assisted video, meaning that that effects such as frame-by-frame slow motion and savestates were used to optimize performance. Still fun to watch, but doesn't indicate "serious mad skills."

  • Seeing as how you've obviously never seen high level TGM play, I'll let you get away with that comment.

And no, it's not a TAS.

  • Not TAS but you know what I meant. >_>

  • This movie was released by the company itself which produced this game.

Other games which this company produced in the past had an overmuch cheat countermeasure program.

I cannot think that the company which does such a thing cheats itself.

If it adds, I will have seen other players reach to 1200 levels in this mode in a game center.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCAnggppNd0 (This link is to the movie of the same contents. )

  • It can't be TAS because TGM 3 isn't even available for emulation. Even the first one got pulled from MAME by Arika.

  • No, only the second game (TGM2 and TGM2+) was pulled. The first game you can still find just about anywhere and is still supported by MAME.

  • Ohh my bad. Guess I'll check it out then!

  • There's a MAME version out there that can still emulate TGM2 and TGM2+ called DDEmeMAME ASM 0.37b16.99.3 it's the version I use to play the two.

  • Wow, that was some serious mad skills.
