  • I know it's not going to change the course of history but I can confirm that the staccato sound wasn't created on a prepared piano. An "ARP Pro Soloist" used to go a long way, especially if you double-tracked it or recorded with the multi-track running at half speed, or both. No idea why they don't repeat the show, but RWD and I did write the music. MC.

  • juicy

  • Not two synths by the way - the staccato sound is from a piano specially prepared for the session. And why dont they repeat the show?

  • PS Do you have Denton and Cook's themes for Jigsaw (either - they did a couple) and Eureka available to upload onto Youtube as well, please? Ta!

  • My favourite TV theme ever, by a long chalk. Very much in thrall to "Before And After Science"-era Brian Eno, I think, and all the better for it. Wouldn't mind an MP3 of it, should one actually exist.

  • 1:58 Homage to 'I am the walrus'?

  • Yeah. Great tune. Had me boogying round my bedroom.

  • They don't make theme tunes like this anymore.

  • Love this tune!

  • I really wish the BBC would repeat this show!
