  • Um, I have a question, me and my friend are looking for a Humorous Duo piece of this, and I would really like to do this. So... what book is it that you saw, could you please tell me?

  • this is so cool

  • YES! I've been looking for a duo and I've found one! haha

  • Haha you guys are great! Though I think you should cut the script. You guys are too fast. Doesn't seem natural..

  • what was this for? it's really funny x3

  • @Yokoskitsunegirl This was for Duo Interpretation of Literature. It is an event for Speech and Debate (or Forensics) where 2 peeople perform a 9 - 10 minute piece and they cannot make eye contact or physical contact.

  • hilarious

  • THAT WAS SSOOOOOOOOOOOO FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!! I read the book and they did a great job!

  • its from a book

but they cut it into a script

  • do you know what book its from?

  • how to survive a horror movie

its the name of the book lol

  • o haha right lol thank you

  • Is this from a script book or did they write it?

I love this, it's so hilarious!

  • possibly it was written by them and some other parts were from a book,

  • This was REALLY good, needs a little polishing, but you did say this was filmed during practice. How far did this piece go?

  • Omfg amazing lol 5/5

  • that has got to be the funniest duo i have ever seen! great work!!!!!!! what a great inspiration.

  • sooo funny...can i find a script? or did you just use pieces from the book?

  • yeah same here... what is this?

  • I'm totally buying this book for my drama students' 10-minute fest. Thanks for the inspiration gentlemen. Despite a few trips, this was a well put together, wonderfully executed, and hillarious performance. ^_^

  • Yeay! They were great!

  • I don't get the factor of this flim. Is it to help me survive in a horror movie or how to kill myself in one? But for the sake of these guys I just can't think of what I could do with such bad advice. For those's that don't care one bite, please don't thinck about reading this and just give a thumbs down or up I don't care. That my piece of my soul that has died wacthig this. Thanks for reading.

  • Hey, take it easy. This is based on a great book by Seth Grahame-Smith and Wes Craven, "How to survive a horror movie". It doesn't make sense if you haven't read the book (which I have). I LOVE THIS VID, laughed so hard! X"D

  • hey followyourheart89, is this duet piece in the book by Seth Grahame-Smith and Wes Craven, entitled how to survive a horror movie.

  • No. This duet isn't in the book, nor has it anything to do with the original authors. These guys just quote that book a lot.

  • I LAUGHED SO HARD!

  • that was awesome

  • That was probably the most spectacular thing I've seen in a while.

  • very nice boys =)

  • that was kinda the most amazing thing ever.

you guys have greaat stage movement btw.

  • LOVE this video. And it turns out that the plural for mongoose is actually mongooses. Just so you know.

  • o gosh i saw this not sure were thugh and i was buy u guys i was on the morristown east team

  • GREAT PREFORMANCE I want to do this piece myself

  • you guys are awesome. the blocking was perfect and you were pretty terrific with the voices :]

  • U guys need 2 get laid. That or get high wit me

  • Dud, these guys have lives. They just know what to do with them

  • You're not going to get laid on drugs, hunni. At least, not by the people you want to be laid by.

  • I bought this book on an impulse and it was amazing. I can't believe someone actually saw the book, read it, and then took it as far as a Duo Interp. CONGRATS!!! I hope ya'll do well.

  • best duo ever!

  • U took some of the "evil Objects" sticht from "Dodge the Kills"

  • very nice!!

    the voice effects are excellent!!

  • very nice =] i really like your blocking

  • i thought for duo interp, you have to have black books.

  • i think that is only for college forensics. This is a high school forensics piece, so no we didn't need black binders.

  • That was amazing, I'm writing a portfolio piece based off of the book and I couldn't decide how to do it until I saw your skit. Congrats and I hope do well in your tournament!

  • Wow! I love your piece, for what school did you compete?

  • Loyola Blakefield, we're from Maryland, we go to most of the big east coast tournaments.

  • Lolz where did you guys find this piece?

  • We were looking for a fun piece and originally considered doing The Zombie Survival Guide, when our friend on the team recommended we look at this book that he had seen at a Borders.

  • Well I have to say you did an excellent job with cutting. Its very funny. Good job :)

  • @qeekl I did an Open Interp of the The Zombie Survival Guide in NCFCA :D I love that book.

  • @qeekl Damn, this is funny shit.

  • you guys are awesome!

    bet you guys broke. :]

  • We did decently overall. Finaled at Villiger and GMU, won Pennsbury, and at least broke to semis at most other tournaments. We ended up dropping at prelims at CFLs with a cume of 36, break was 35.

  • hehe hilarious, my friend who goes to your school just showed me this

  • you guys are amazingly hillarious lol

  • Great video, I couldn't stop laughing XD

  • Oh, I am so switching from dramatic reading to Duo after watching this! Great job!

  • i laugh every time i watch this.

  • Oh my goodness, David. This is insane.

  • can we have a copy of your script?

  • You don't want a copy of our script, man. What makes a piece so much fun is when it's yours. Trust me, I've done pieces that I just took cut for cut from someone, and this was just so much more fun because my partner and I cut it and teched it ourselves. It takes some time, but it's worth it in the end.

  • OMG sho funny! loved every seconed of it! very nice job with the movements!

  • haha that was really good! awesome job

  • THE TERRORVERSE! *PSSH* nininilnilnilnin XD

  • hey what is the name of this piece?

  • "How to Survive a Horror Movie"

    By Seth Grahame-Smith

  • Hmmm... maybe it's the giant title on top of the video... oh, nope, that's the name of the kids in the video... yeah, Mr. How to survive a horror movie Jr.

  • wow, do you get your kicks from being a youtube hater? if you knew at all what forensics(thats what we call it here) is you know you need an author too. hmm. perhaps if you spent less time negative commenting you might be able to enrich your life...sad really.

  • i had the unfortunate pleasure of watching another team butcher this piece...

    but excellent job!

  • Wait. Is someone doing this piece this year? Like an exact copy or at least some fresh ideas.

  • that was the amazing i was laughing through the hole thing nice work

  • rofl.This is amazing.

I would love to have you guys perform live at my school.

  • Wow this was pretty rad you guys. It was really comical!

  • This is probably one of the most amazing Duo performances i've ever seen.

I couldn't stop laughing at all.

"Because zombies are stupid, AND WE'RE AWESOME"

  • really good job! sorry to hear that you didn't break out of prelims, I liked it, don't know what the judjes where thinking. *thumbs up!* ^-^ Ill be doing eather Duo or HI next year this year its OPP, but its too late to change but thats OK! best of luck to everyone!

  • Ah, I loved this! I saw you guys at...*tries to remember* I wanna say St. Joe's, but for some reason I don't think that's right.

I think you know a duo from my school, though... "Matt and Ben," done by two girls named Maggie and Dana.

  • The performance itself was good but i didn't find it funny.

  • please tell me what the title of this script is and who it's by. i want to do it this year....:]

  • this is soo funny!

i would love to have a script like this where did you find it?!?!

  • It's cut from a book called How to Survive a Horror Movie by Seth Grahame-Smith. We read through and picked out our favorite parts, smashed them together into the script, then blocked it out.

  • if you guys are this good now man i cant wait to see you guy on stand up

  • did u compte at cfls?

  • We did, but we didn't even break out of prelims. We were first out, so we were one rank away from breaking.

  • yea i think i competed against you.

  • Wow, If this was "the round"... I can almost guarantee I was in there while waiting for the humors flight. (I remember the room) Woo Wake Forest!

  • Um, not sure which round you're referring to. We only made it to Semis at Wake, but maybe that's what you watched? Also, this wasn't taped at Wake, this was taped in the bio lecture room at our school during a practice run.

  • Oh...well don't I feel smart. Great job on Semis though!!! If you saw the final round of humor I took third. What year are you guys in?

  • Actually, I think we went to watch Bateman in OO finals, since he's on our team. I graduated, I'm the shorter, skinnier one with the poofy hair. My partner will be a senior this year, and he's adopted a junior, and they're doing duo, but it's not a humorous one.

  • Okay, I just graduated as well. Well, whenever I saw you guys you did great. Tell your partner best of luck...from the guy on youtube(or not thats kinda weird). Were you in humor at some point, b'c you looked familiar prior to whatever round I saw?

    -Lt0smash (Steven)

  • Well, we both did HI throughout the year at several tournaments. My partner (Dark Curly hair) did "Goosebumps: Be Careful What You Wish For" and I did "Antz". Thank you for wishing me luck.

And qeekl, I went to watch Duo finals at Wake...so there...

  • this was soooo good was it for a school thing....loved it

  • It was for forensics- speech and debate.

  • freeks

    :}

  • you guys have to slow down i cant understand wat u guys are saying but anyway it was funny

  • whoops, I meant awesome. ^.^;;

  • whoa! you guys were awesoe. Great job timing the whole thing. =D

  • shut up u stoopid bastad

  • Totally awesome! I was laughing the whole time. Great job!
