@psiddhant Actually it does matter if it's day or night if you live in a city or something, radio pollution is becoming a problem with all these wireless devices and cell phone's everywhere. They can only come up with so many aspect of frequency's per area and it does effect the accuracy and speed of which your device receives information. The government already has regulations in place we just haven't exceeded the limit yet.

usually 2-3 meters of Cable is good , but more than 3 meters is not good enough!

the badwidth is LOST when u r using 3+ mtr of cable , and u r speed becoms LOW!

but in WIFI , even if ur modem is 1000 Miles away form ur Device , but have more than 90% Signal , ur speed is MAX!

this does gives you more bandwidth data transfer level , which makes ur game capacity better & BETTER.

so this doesn't fix lagging , but fix you from games kick out (connection error etc.)

if ur internet speed is about 10-20 kbps , that is sufficient

i guess the problem is with your Signal strength OR upnp setting

1st: try increasing ur wifi signal (90% of the ppl do this , and they are happy) why dont you try ?

2nd: open your browser , type 192.160.1.1 (id is "admin" password is also same "admin" )

now go down to network/ or wireless , then switch off your UPNP settings

(UR WINDOWS MEDIA SERER WILL BE STOPPED)

Well I tested this, also with an aluminium bowl and it does help a bit, but when there's a floor betwee router and pc you barely notice the difference. Another thing that increased my signal with two bars was reaiming the antennas of my pc to my router!

@psiddhant Allright, well upcoming season I'm living on the 3th floor of a sort of apartment with the router on the 0th floor, so I'm gonna try anything to keep up at least 15%. The intern strength of the modem is 56mbits i believe so 15% is 8.4mbits. Our internet is just 8 mbits over there so I get the maximum of internet speed I need to download fast. That is how it works right?

cuz i did this method to my ancle's router

he live's in 2nd floor and the modem is in 4th floor (apartment)

he had 38% , after doing my trick it became 43%

well , i guess it would work :D
