  • i hope they died quickly

  • Rest in peace flight 123

  • The creepiest part is that you can hear TWO impacts. First when they clipped a mountain, then shortly after when they crashed into another. Horrible way to go out, everyone on the flight deck knew they were doomed and had a lot of time to think about it. Wasn't there amazingly one survivor of this flight? A child found alive in a tree? Or am I mistaking this with another incident?

  • @thenekom The tree kid is right. I think a few kids and a couple of adults servived too. Pilot, co-pilot and all crew died.

  • @thenekom 4 survived out of 524 on board. All were females. 2 kids aged 8 and 12, and 2 adults aged 25 and 34.

    Thanks.

    Rest in peace.

  • such a horrible thing to listen to. Its not just 2 or 3 flight crew, its 520 men, woman and children. RIP xx

  • this is so fucked up.

  • last word sort of crying chills .RIP!

  • Apparently, some of the passengers died after the crash, not during. when the doctors did the autopsies, they discovered some passengers died of hypothermia. the reason being, there was a miscommunication between a nearby village and rescue workers. so no one got to the crash site until a few hours later. if they had gotten there sooner, more lives could've been saved.

  • @RowieFan Three years late on the parade, but since you were slinging your precious IQ around like it's your (likely unimpressive) dick, how about this: I have a verified IQ of 132. You're a giant faggot. Deal with it.

  • Real heroes! Fought to the last second! RIP to all of those lost.

  • My heart goes out for those poor passenger and those heroic pilots..

  • I won't ever listen to any cock pit voice recorder. May god bless them. It's terrifying to listen. RIP

  • Sorry If I translated it wrong, plz correct if I'm wrong.

-Atama agero! = pull the head up.

-Yosh, motto ueda = ok, keep it going

-Oi! bakku ni irero "#¤"&%# = "Hey! Reverse it "#¤%¤/¤/ (could not hear while the other is saying Flap up Flap up Falp up)

    -A!......AA!!! !"#!¤"#!!

-Agacchai masu (Co-pilot) = It's going up (only head)

    -doushiteda!? = Why??

-Agare!.....Agare!!!! = Go up! Go up!!

    - computer voice = Mayday - Pull up

    -AA!! dameda! = It's useless!

  • @chesedchesed thanx for that mate : )

  • @chesedchesed Small correction... The computer voice said "sink rate" (not "mayday").

  • @chesedchesed It's "sinkrate" not "mayday". Every aviation nerd should know this.

  • @eonkorona And when did I say that I'm a Aviation Nerd? Are you acting Moron, or are you just pretending to be one?

  • @chesedchesed I've got some corrections from ppl. The computer says "Sink rate" not mayday. And the pilot where I wrote "A---AAaaa-a" he is actually saying "power"

  • @chesedchesed its all fucking wrong mother fucker, they say Its the end at the end not its Useless,at the end it was like Nose up,Nose up then he said POWER then he said after a brief seconds its the end, fucking stupid go learn more japanese then come back american douchebag

  • @ilias2oo6 Go fuck your attitude, btw, I am Japanese. thank you. And, he said "Aa--- dameda" this can mean "oh its the end" Yes, but As I "AS A JAPANESE" heard, he ment like "oh no... nothing more to do, its useless". That kind of meaning. That is why I didn't write "it's the end".

  • @chesedchesed you're obviously not japanese,i'm japanese and in the end he says Nose up nose up then he says POWER then after few seconds after the computer says pull up he says its the end ! you are stupid fuck you !

  • @ilias2oo6 Oh ok, then pls tell me what this means, every jap should know it. 4ろ4く

  • @chesedchesed it means suck ma dick

  • @ilias2oo6 plz just shut up and leave me alone. it's not worth it.

  • @chesedchesed stupid japanese faggot

  • @chesedchesed The computer doesn't say "mayday", it says "SINK RATE. PULL UP. PULL UP. PULL UP."

    It's the TAWS/GPWS.

  • They were trying so hard.

  • Reise reise......

  • Must Have Been Terrifying. RIP.

  • @Gh0stBlade you dumb bastard. the rudder and elevator were blown out by a faulty repair in the rear bulkhead decompression.

  • @Gh0stBlade Have you ever heard or read the whole story? They WERE pulling up and doing everything in their power, but the plane went out of control. There was nothing they could have done about it. These are experienced pilots and knew what they were doing.

  • @Gh0stBlade By the way, these guys had more experience in flying before you were born. You're ONLY 19 and know nothing about flying such a huge commercial airplane.

  • @Gh0stBlade Plasticspastic201 is correct, and yes, they were pulling up. The aircraft's tail was blown off, which made it impossible to keep it from going down. No matter how hard you try to 'pull up' it will not work, and the plane will eventually crash. The aircraft's tail is vital.

  • @Gh0stBlade Yeah that's kinda hard to do when your plane doesn't have a tail and is out of hydraulic fluid...

  • @Gh0stBlade Made a simulator to train new pilots what to do in situations like this. To this day, not one recruit has managed to stay in the air in the simulator as long as the real pilots did. This deems them heroes. So show some respect.

  • @Gh0stBlade Wow, you are a retard.

  • @Gh0stBlade The plane they were flying had been in a tail end collision years earlier. Repairs were done faulty, with only one metal plate covering the damage instead of the needed two. The tail blew off and the hydraulic fluid ran out as well. So, without a tail, the plane CAN'T pull up. Those pilots managed to stay in the air for 32 minutes without control of the plane. That gave passengers enough time to write farewell letters to their families. Oh and after the accident, flight trainers >>

  • 0:42 its getting intense...i get chills when hearing "sink rate...PULL UP.!

  • Japans incompetence in not allowing the USA to help probably cost the lives of more suvivors..

  • That was a chilling audio of 2 men desperately trying to save a crippled aircraft and the lives of all of the passengers. Listening to their desperation is really kind of sad.

  • SPOILER ALERT! They die.

  • @Jackal2286 4 survivors

  • I wish someone would upload more flight recordings.

I have heard some. On Air Disasters webpage there are several flight recordings to hear. I think the most dramatic one of them is the Air Florida 90 flights recording where you can clearly hear when the co pilot says "This is it! Were going down, Larry" and the pilot answers: "I know"......and that is the last thing you can hear from the tape.

  • could anyone please translate in English that what were they(pilots) saying?

  • @Kiyani11 :Type in "Japan Airlines Flight 123 Accident (12 Aug 1985) - Cockpit Voice Recorder [English Subbed]" and you can read the translation of this conversation.

  • @Kiyani11

There's a video on here showing the Air Emergency episode where this accident was featured. It might be a rough translation, but it's the best I've found.

  • @Kiyani11, there's a video on YouTube that has English subtitles on what the pilots are saying during the incident. The link is youtube(.)com/watch?v=Xfh9-ogUgSQ.

  • How can Boeing be so silly? If they had repaired the plane properly, this tragedy wouldn't have happened. It is so sad.

I have no grievances against human error, but I hate irresponsible behaviour...

  • It was the 12.08.1985...

  • R.I.P Kyu Sakamoto , the pilots and all the others who died.

  • Absolutely tragic. So, so sad.

  • This is also the cover for rammstein's album Reise Reise, where most of the album is based of traveling, and is also reminding us of the tragedies that come with it. At the end of the album, they play this clip. R.I.P

  • God Bless to them. There definitely above the grounds now, HEAVEN.

  • Condolence for this tragedy. GOD bless the alive victims, amen.

  • The notes to their loved ones all scrambled by the immense forces that were being exerted upon them. So terribly sad, rest in peace dear souls, I hope you are in a better place

  • Precious life lost... always so very sad. Condolences to all concerned. Jonathan

  • Precious life lost... always so very sad. Condolences to all concerned. Jonathan

  • Flight is very strange, the planes we take on trip to places are heavy, requiring much fuel. Having a less accident rate than cars, it to much a risk to go on one, but the thought crosses our minds always. Their always such dramatic disasters, large on scale, explosive and terrible. Future, may it be better in flight, the first Cars did not originally have seat belts and safety features, but they do now and so may the Aircraft of the future, be safer for all. May they rest in harmonious peace.

  • Thats pretty creepy

  • First heard this on Reise Reise from Rammstein. Never before knew where it came from. How interesting...

  • @ComatoseElf Same here..., Researched why the album was designed in an awkward fashion, orange backdrop with white srtips, not what you would expect for an album cover. Even the song, "Reise, Reise" is an old German Phrase for "Arise, Arise", but the words where later associated with Travel.

  • the pilots did a good job of keeping the plane up for 20 to 30 mins

pilots must not panic at any times

    god bless them all

  • It's nice to read that the woman and her daughter survived.

  • @Kurairu

I take it you didn't know that the pilots had almost no control over the plane correct?

  • @Kurairu

Am sure he would have ... had the tail of the plane not been completely blown off, rendering the aircraft completely inoperable. It's a miracle they managed to keep it in the air for 30 minutes: other pilots later tried to replicate the situation in a flight simulator and none of them managed to land the plane. They all crashed within minutes, whereas the Japanese crew at least managed to hae some control for over half an hour.

  • @Kurairu Insensitive of you. If it were physically possible for them to pull up, I promise they would have.

  • That sounds soooo scary...especially the end with that alarm. My God. How frightening that must have been for the pilots, crew, and passengers. Many prayers to them and their families :-(

  • Some of the best examples of humanity are pilots.

  • Only JAL officials have heard the whole tape. Quite simple, he was evading a UFO and lost control. People in the Haneda area near the airport were interviewed by gov't agents and those who saw the UFO trailing the aircraft were paid to be silent. The official in charge of recovering the recorder approached the pilot's wife 25 years later and told her this info to ease her families guilt ridden mind. He said they could never release the full tape . A similar object was seen at O'Hare

  • @Kellykleinman Umm... anything to actually back this up or is taking things at face value in vogue these days? The official explanation was a poor repair job several years earlier resulting in the aircraft effectively falling apart. That's why they lost control, but amazingly, not that many people died as a result of the crash and most people actually died of exposure overnight because the Japanese government were too stubborn to accept the Americans offer of help for the victims :(

  • @Kellykleinman Are you serious?

  • the fear, the chill and the shiver you get when you hear the PULL UP, BANK ANGLE and all that alerts... god bless them and thank you for trying your best.

  • That´s sad ! They´ve been fighting till the end. The explanation "It´s the end" is realy sad. They are heroes !! Nobody was able to keep the plane as long in the air as the pilots did when they tried it in the simulator after the crash. The pilots did a heroic and awesome job ! Requiescat in pace to the crew and passengers !

  • Got the translation: Cap: Nose up! Col: Yes sir. Cap: Nose up! Nose up! Cap: Power! Cap: Stop flapping now! Cap: Power! Flap! We must control this individually! Col: Flap up! Flap up! Flap up! Flap up! Flap up! Cap: Flap up, Okay. Cap: Power... POWER! Cap: FLAP! Col: I'M TRYING! Cap: It's going to stall! Cap: Nose up!... Nose up! Cap: Power! *SINK RATE* *PULL UP* *PULL UP* *PULL UP* Cap: IT'S THE END! *PULL UP* *PULL UP* -JAL 123 Crashes-
  • @KkingoflolzZ Soooo sad :'-(

  • What are the Pilots saying??

  • This recording is on a Rammstein-album.

  • @YoungMoney835 no, young fella. it's not

  • This is very eerie to listen to. We are privy to the sounds of the last minutes to so many peoples lives. We are with them. May they rest in peace!

  • does anyone know what do they say?

  • @ExNihiloJimmy Why are you such an asshole?

  • @Sandler41882 lol, good question. I will ponder it for a while and get back to you sir.

  • pure tragedy. how can i express what i feel hearing this?? its almost impossible to describe the feeling of helplessness, as you can almost see the crew struggling to keep "control" of the doomed plane. i wouldnt wish this scenario on my worst enemy. its just soooo sad. a terrible, terrible tragedy.

  • Crew cannot be expected to save a disintegrating aircraft. RIP to them and the passengers.

  • Reise Reise -1 Track

  • @russotragik i dont know why this is not on my album of rammstein...

  • @lalogamer it is before the reise reise track, after it starts u just rewind o few seconds but not too long because then it will start over. u need a CD player for this

  • @philllllllle i readed than if its the american version i will not listen that * and i have the american version*

  • @lalogamer It was only on special pressings of it. I've owned it for a while and always wondered what I was hearing, now that I know this will officially darken my life forever :(

  • SINK RATE... PULL UP...PULL UP...PULL UP...PULL UP... (crash sound)

    pull up: aviso para levantar(!)

  • SINK RATE... PULL UP...PULL UP...PULL UP...PULL UP... (crash sound)

    pull up: aviso para levantar(!)

  • God bless them. They heroically did the very best they could.

  • may you rest in peace to the crew of japan air 123. you did everything and then some to save this flight

  • reise, reise :/ but still, a terrible incident

  • reise, reise :D

  • mennnnnn what did they speak?!?!?!!?

    please someone translate it

  • When the auto - navigation starts to say "Pull up" it usually means, that it will end in horrifying crash.

  • CVR/FDR are on all the time, CVR saves two last hours, FDR records from the biginning of flight.

    Correct me if Iam wrong

  • @libudibudauchoo depends on the model. soem cvr's 30 mins' some cvr's 2 hours.

  • @libudibudauchoo actually, the CVR is only on for the first 30minutes at the beginning of the flight (and at the end), so w/e is said between that time is gone.

  • CVR records last 30 min, and FDR from the biginning of flight. Correct me if I am wrong

  • R.I.P To all of the passengers and the heroic pilots who kept the plane up for 30 minutes,...even if there was no way to take back control of the aircraft. My prayers were and are to the families of those who died and the 4 who survived. :'( God Bless them all.

  • Have nightmares about the "pull up" noise after watching the Air Crash Investigation video.

  • This may seem like a stupid question but is the CVR and FDR on all the time or do they activate when an emergency happens?

  • @02Tony They're on all the time.

  • @StephHizzle planes cvr only record for thirty minutes than they start to record over themselves again.

  • "Atama agero" means "raise nose" Vertical Fin of jal123 was lost and it become uncontrolable.

  • do a barrel roll! sorry im an ass. thanks for the translation cat.

  • God Bless!!

  • So Sad, hidden track in Reise Reise Rammstein Album.

  • @layon99 track? I think thats what the song dalai lama is about this crash but they put this recording from the flight recorder in because i think its for the song dalai lama

but the album is reise reise and that song is about mutiny

  • Those incredible pilots were heroes ! :(

God bless all the people who died on that flight ! :(

  • Oh, how very sad.

  • Those poor men, I don't speak japanese but I can tell that they were frantic and doing everything they could, even though they didn't stand a chance. :( R.I.P guys! Heaven holds a special place for people like you

  • @ofalltheranters - Japanese don't believe in heaven.

  • @BayviewFinch You're absolutely 100 percent wrong. Most Japanese believe in heaven. Christianity is prominent in Japan.

  • @JDMAero - Christianity is not prominent in Japan. Where did you even come up with such an idiotic statement? Japan has two main religions: Shinto and Buddhism. Christians are a small minority.

  • @JDMAero are you drunk?

  • @noborusan I stand corrected.. Christianity is in Japan, of course, but Buddhism is the number one religion. My mistake.

  • @JDMAero Sorry but Buddhism is not a religion, is a philosophy, that is why Buda is not a God,...

  • @JDMAero

    You are absolutely incorrect. Lol

Christianity is a minority religion in Japan, with less than 1% and possibly less than one-half of one percent of the Japanese population claiming Christian belief or affiliation.

  • Omg. What did my brother say this time..?

  • This is just really messed up, you knew you where gonna die on that flight probably, and these pilots are definitely heroes, thats really hard to keep the plane under control that long, they should have medals posthumously awarded to their families, all respect for those who died that day

    R.I.P.

  • R.I.P

  • I have nothing but respect for those pilots for keeping the plane in the air as long as they did. They never gave up.

  • Comment removed

  • @bighrabovsky, everyone knows what that means asshole.

  • a terrible accident caused by a bad repair by the "boing" on a panel, not a double bolting It has been done that could save the lives of those people. and 'the panel that was broken off the plane because of the pressure slice' drift tail pipes and hydraulic fluids, preventing pilots control the plane.

  • I spent the best year of my life in Osaka, Japan and travelled on JAL - teaching English. After reading the translation and listening, I am in tears.

  • very sad and difficult to listen to.

  • I heard the pilot was crazy and that he survived the crash.

  • @cjesseg you are an idiot.

  • @cjesseg hey fuck u this stuff rocks

  • @cjesseg fuc**ng retard!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i just saw the documentary!! how terrible the accident was!! those pilots were heroes ='( god bless all the people who died on that flight

  • Heartbreaking. I'm scared to fly now.

  • Ridiculous that the YOUTUBE advertisement comes up with "Crashing Aeroplanes" for this video. Makes me wanna puke.

  • My God...Bless all of the people that went through this...

Bless their souls, those pilots and everyone....trying to make it through that whole half hour...
