The creepiest part is that you can hear TWO impacts. First when they clipped a mountain, then shortly after when they crashed into another. Horrible way to go out, everyone on the flight deck knew they were doomed and had a lot of time to think about it. Wasn't there amazingly one survivor of this flight? A child found alive in a tree? Or am I mistaking this with another incident?
Apparently, some of the passengers died after the crash, not during. when the doctors did the autopsies, they discovered some passengers died of hypothermia. the reason being, there was a miscommunication between a nearby village and rescue workers. so no one got to the crash site until a few hours later. if they had gotten there sooner, more lives could've been saved.

@chesedchesed you're obviously not japanese,i'm japanese and in the end he says Nose up nose up then he says POWER then after few seconds after the computer says pull up he says its the end ! you are stupid fuck you !
@Gh0stBlade Have you ever heard or read the whole story? They WERE pulling up and doing everything in their power, but the plane went out of control. There was nothing they could have done about it. These are experienced pilots and knew what they were doing.
@Gh0stBlade By the way, these guys had more experience in flying before you were born. You're ONLY 19 and know nothing about flying such a huge commercial airplane.
@Gh0stBlade Plasticspastic201 is correct, and yes, they were pulling up. The aircraft's tail was blown off, which made it impossible to keep it from going down. No matter how hard you try to 'pull up' it will not work, and the plane will eventually crash. The aircraft's tail is vital.
@Gh0stBlade Made a simulator to train new pilots what to do in situations like this. To this day, not one recruit has managed to stay in the air in the simulator as long as the real pilots did. This deems them heroes. So show some respect.
@Gh0stBlade The plane they were flying had been in a tail end collision years earlier. Repairs were done faulty, with only one metal plate covering the damage instead of the needed two. The tail blew off and the hydraulic fluid ran out as well. So, without a tail, the plane CAN'T pull up. Those pilots managed to stay in the air for 32 minutes without control of the plane. That gave passengers enough time to write farewell letters to their families. Oh and after the accident, flight trainers >>
That was a chilling audio of 2 men desperately trying to save a crippled aircraft and the lives of all of the passengers. Listening to their desperation is really kind of sad.
I wish someone would upload more flight recordings.
I have heard some. On Air Disasters webpage there are several flight recordings to hear. I think the most dramatic one of them is the Air Florida 90 flights recording where you can clearly hear when the co pilot says "This is it! Were going down, Larry" and the pilot answers: "I know"......and that is the last thing you can hear from the tape.
@Kiyani11 :Type in "Japan Airlines Flight 123 Accident (12 Aug 1985) - Cockpit Voice Recorder [English Subbed]" and you can read the translation of this conversation.
There's a video on here showing the Air Emergency episode where this accident was featured. It might be a rough translation, but it's the best I've found.
@Kiyani11, there's a video on YouTube that has English subtitles on what the pilots are saying during the incident. The link is youtube(.)com/watch?v=Xfh9-ogUgSQ.

Flight is very strange, the planes we take on trip to places are heavy, requiring much fuel. Having a less accident rate than cars, it to much a risk to go on one, but the thought crosses our minds always. Their always such dramatic disasters, large on scale, explosive and terrible. Future, may it be better in flight, the first Cars did not originally have seat belts and safety features, but they do now and so may the Aircraft of the future, be safer for all. May they rest in harmonious peace.
@ComatoseElf Same here..., Researched why the album was designed in an awkward fashion, orange backdrop with white srtips, not what you would expect for an album cover. Even the song, "Reise, Reise" is an old German Phrase for "Arise, Arise", but the words where later associated with Travel.
Am sure he would have ... had the tail of the plane not been completely blown off, rendering the aircraft completely inoperable. It's a miracle they managed to keep it in the air for 30 minutes: other pilots later tried to replicate the situation in a flight simulator and none of them managed to land the plane. They all crashed within minutes, whereas the Japanese crew at least managed to hae some control for over half an hour.
That sounds soooo scary...especially the end with that alarm. My God. How frightening that must have been for the pilots, crew, and passengers. Many prayers to them and their families :-(
Only JAL officials have heard the whole tape. Quite simple, he was evading a UFO and lost control. People in the Haneda area near the airport were interviewed by gov't agents and those who saw the UFO trailing the aircraft were paid to be silent. The official in charge of recovering the recorder approached the pilot's wife 25 years later and told her this info to ease her families guilt ridden mind. He said they could never release the full tape . A similar object was seen at O'Hare
@Kellykleinman Umm... anything to actually back this up or is taking things at face value in vogue these days? The official explanation was a poor repair job several years earlier resulting in the aircraft effectively falling apart. That's why they lost control, but amazingly, not that many people died as a result of the crash and most people actually died of exposure overnight because the Japanese government were too stubborn to accept the Americans offer of help for the victims :(
the fear, the chill and the shiver you get when you hear the PULL UP, BANK ANGLE and all that alerts... god bless them and thank you for trying your best.
That´s sad ! They´ve been fighting till the end. The explanation "It´s the end" is realy sad. They are heroes !! Nobody was able to keep the plane as long in the air as the pilots did when they tried it in the simulator after the crash. The pilots did a heroic and awesome job ! Requiescat in pace to the crew and passengers !
***I translated this into English**** captain:nose up!! Co-Pilot:Roger. captain:nose up!! nose up!! captain:power(Put up the engine output)!! captain:Flap up!Flap up!! Co-Pilot:Roger.Flap up!Flap up! captain:power!! power!!! captain:Flap up!! Co-Pilot:I I have already done it!! captain:An airplane will stall !! captain:Nose up! Nose up! captain:Power・・ (Beep sound that an airplane approaches the ground) captain:I am already no use!!!!
pure tragedy. how can i express what i feel hearing this?? its almost impossible to describe the feeling of helplessness, as you can almost see the crew struggling to keep "control" of the doomed plane. i wouldnt wish this scenario on my worst enemy. its just soooo sad. a terrible, terrible tragedy.
@lalogamer it is before the reise reise track, after it starts u just rewind o few seconds but not too long because then it will start over. u need a CD player for this
@lalogamer It was only on special pressings of it. I've owned it for a while and always wondered what I was hearing, now that I know this will officially darken my life forever :(
@libudibudauchoo actually, the CVR is only on for the first 30minutes at the beginning of the flight (and at the end), so w/e is said between that time is gone.
R.I.P To all of the passengers and the heroic pilots who kept the plane up for 30 minutes,...even if there was no way to take back control of the aircraft. My prayers were and are to the families of those who died and the 4 who survived. :'( God Bless them all.
@layon99 track? I think thats what the song dalai lama is about this crash but they put this recording from the flight recorder in because i think its for the song dalai lama
but the album is reise reise and that song is about mutiny
Those poor men, I don't speak japanese but I can tell that they were frantic and doing everything they could, even though they didn't stand a chance. :( R.I.P guys! Heaven holds a special place for people like you
@JDMAero - Christianity is not prominent in Japan. Where did you even come up with such an idiotic statement? Japan has two main religions: Shinto and Buddhism. Christians are a small minority.
Christianity is a minority religion in Japan, with less than 1% and possibly less than one-half of one percent of the Japanese population claiming Christian belief or affiliation.
This is just really messed up, you knew you where gonna die on that flight probably, and these pilots are definitely heroes, thats really hard to keep the plane under control that long, they should have medals posthumously awarded to their families, all respect for those who died that day
a terrible accident caused by a bad repair by the "boing" on a panel, not a double bolting It has been done that could save the lives of those people. and 'the panel that was broken off the plane because of the pressure slice' drift tail pipes and hydraulic fluids, preventing pilots control the plane.

2006fbi 10 months ago 4
2006fbi 10 months ago 4

Only JAL officials have heard the whole tape. Quite simple, he was evading a UFO and lost control. People in the Haneda area near the airport were interviewed by gov't agents and those who saw the UFO trailing the aircraft were paid to be silent. The official in charge of recovering the recorder approached the pilot's wife 25 years later and told her this info to ease her families guilt ridden mind. He said they could never release the full tape . A similar object was seen at O'Hare
Kellykleinman 1 year ago

Requiescat in pace to the crew and passengers !

pure tragedy. how can i express what i feel hearing this?? its almost impossible to describe the feeling of helplessness, as you can almost see the crew struggling to keep "control" of the doomed plane. i wouldnt wish this scenario on my worst enemy. its just soooo sad. a terrible, terrible tragedy.

When the auto - navigation starts to say "Pull up" it usually means, that it will end in horrifying crash.

CVR/FDR are on all the time, CVR saves two last hours, FDR records from the biginning of flight.
Correct me if Iam wrong
libudibudauchoo 1 year ago
@libudibudauchoo depends on the model. soem cvr's 30 mins' some cvr's 2 hours.
chriski95 1 year ago
@libudibudauchoo actually, the CVR is only on for the first 30minutes at the beginning of the flight (and at the end), so w/e is said between that time is gone.

CVR records last 30 min, and FDR from the biginning of flight. Correct me if I am wrong

R.I.P To all of the passengers and the heroic pilots who kept the plane up for 30 minutes,...even if there was no way to take back control of the aircraft. My prayers were and are to the families of those who died and the 4 who survived. :'( God Bless them all.

@ofalltheranters - Japanese don't believe in heaven.
BayviewFinch 1 year ago
@BayviewFinch You're absolutely 100 percent wrong. Most Japanese believe in heaven. Christianity is prominent in Japan.
JDMAero 1 year ago
@JDMAero - Christianity is not prominent in Japan. Where did you even come up with such an idiotic statement? Japan has two main religions: Shinto and Buddhism. Christians are a small minority.
BayviewFinch 1 year ago
@JDMAero are you drunk?
noborusan 1 year ago
@noborusan I stand corrected.. Christianity is in Japan, of course, but Buddhism is the number one religion. My mistake.
JDMAero 1 year ago
@JDMAero Sorry but Buddhism is not a religion, is a philosophy, that is why Buda is not a God,...
SoniaNajar 1 year ago
@JDMAero
You are absolutely incorrect. Lol
